[Resolved]  HCL Computer — Non-attending the computer not phone

Subject: Non-attending the complaint No. NGR 115 dated 14.8.2008
Customer ID Resi 0838.

Sir,
I purchased HCL computer with three years warranty in May, 2006 for my residential use. For the last 15 days, the computer is not functioning. For this I made a complaint No. NGR 115 on your No.[protected] who after registering my request gave me the number of Rajendra Place service centre from where the engineers were to come and attend the call.

After one week and after making numerous calls on both the above numbers and finally after the intervention of Mr. Raj Kanwar (Phone:[protected] who is said to be the in charge of the Rajendra Place centre, I was lucky enough that one engineer was sent to me to attend the call. But, as the engineer was a very young and new one, he fiddled with the computer for about two hours but could not fix it and said that some virus had come in the computer. He assured me that he would come the next day to rectify it.

The next day, I waited for the engineer but he did not come. Again the next day I talked to Mr. Raj Kanwar who took the engineer on conference mode and assured me to get the work done the same day. The engineer again chose not to come.

After that I have been trying to contact the Rajendra Place office as well as Mr. Raj Kanwar but Mr. Raj Kanwar does not pick up the phone. Rajendra Place people say that the call will be attended soon.

I sent an SMS also to Mr. Raj Kanwar but still he is unable to either get the call attended or is so busy not to take my call or revert back.

I have also come to know that the above said complaint No. NGR 115 has been said to have been attended. I fail to understand when I have not signed the complaint receipt nor has the fault in the computer been rectified, how the complaint has been deleted.

Now, having been left with no option because the people at Rajendra Place as well as their incharge Mr. Raj Kanwar are not listening to me, I request you that the fault may be rectified in the computer and action against these non-cooperating people may be taken so as to save the image of such a reputed company.

Hoping for an early redressal.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,

(G.R. Grover)

the proper response.

Kindly help us to get the new one from ur company as early as possible.
Sir,

I have worked with HCL, Rajendra place office for more than an year as a repair engineer. The company does not provide any training and sends new diploma holder recruits for attending calls. A single engineer is supposed to attend 7-8 calls without taking into consideration the large geographical area.

All engineers are paid Rs 3, 500/- per month, no medical insurace, pf etc. and sometimes made to work even on sundays. There is exploitation of workers as well as customers. HCL goods should be banned.

I am working with Reliance now and have a respectable job. I have not taken even reliving letter.
thanks
Manoj
