HP / HP Photosmart Premium C309a, All in One Printer — Poor service on repeated complaints to HP
History and Issue:We purchased a HP-Photosmart premium all in one printer; Model: HP PS C309A, Serial No. MY991H90RQ from Baba Computers on M.G-Road in Pune, MH in the month of May 2010.
Print quality of the printer is great and no issues with the other features. The biggest issue we have is that the printer Cartridge (Black), Model #: Photosmart 862 Black yields about 69 pages (Counted and documented on our board). We are a small business house and print only normal documents needed for business transactions. We do not print documents with pictures or heavy ink consuming graphics.
When we purchased this printer we were told that the cartridge would yield 200 - 250 prints for normal printing. I am not able to print even half the number of documents committed.
Complaints:
We kept changing the cartridges to move on with the printing to meet our customer needs. Fed up with the money we were spending on ink cartridges, we called the toll free HP Line on Feb 17, 2010 (Three times). We were directed our case to Redington India Ltd. - F.C Road in Pune.
We were told by Redington that the cartridge would yield only 70 - 80 prints maximum. They had our printer for 4 days and returned it back stating that the printer has no issues and we have to live with low print yield.
We contacted HP Toll free line back again on 5th April and the representative from HP (Anuradha) mentioned that the cartridge is supposed to yield 200 - 250 pages.
On insistence representative from Redington was at our site on Apr 6, 2011. He inspected the printer and the print yield data that we had maintained. He had mentioned that he would go back to the office and get the necessary steps taken to resolve the issue.
We insisted on getting a replacement for the printer. We did not hear back from Redington for at least 5 days. We called them back again and the representative mentioned the same old cock and bull story of getting only 70 - 80 prints per cartridge.
We are spending about Rs 600 per cartridge to get 69 pages of print out. That's about nearly Rs 10 / page. This is un-economical for any business house and would request HP to take immediate action and replace the printer with either the same model which will give at least 200 - 250 prints or with a laser jet printer with higher yield.
Please treat this as a serious issue and take action. We will get into a legal battle with HP for bad support and service. Kindly have a representative sent immediately to pickup the printer and replace it with a new one. We do not want to deal with Redington any more for this specific issue.

HP India Laptop — Gave inherently defective NVIDIA compaq presario laptop
I purchased a Compaq Presario V3424AU Notebook PC, serial no.2CE726056G on September 10, 2007, from Laptopshop, #488, JNC Road, Opp. Krishna Temple, Koramangala 5th Block, Bangalore - 560 095. When I started to work on this, it started showing complaint oneor other continuously. The details are given below.
1. October 9, 2007 - CD/DVD drive complaint. case no [protected], CD/DVD drive was not working. When I approach the Laptop shop, they told to go to Hewlett-Packard India Sales Pvt Ltd Service Center, #777e, 1st Floor, Opp. New Horizon School, 100Ft. Road, HAL 2nd stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore - 560 038. They changed the CD/DVD drive.
2. In December 2007, again when open the CD/DVD drive to start my work, it came out. I visited service center again. They told they didnt screw it properly, so they told they
screwed it. (They didnt give any case #).
3. January 23, 2008 - after half an hour of switching on the notebook ( it would get heated after half an hour) while I was working on that, it shut down its own. I contacted your service center. They changed the mother board and told
me everything ok. Case no: [protected].
4. February 4, 2008. Token no: 105. After taking the note book home. I again face same problem, after half an hour of switch on, it got stuck. I have to press power button
to switch off. Then I have to wait for 2 hours until the notebook get cool and start the work, again after half an hour it got stuck. I contacted the service center. The engineer there checked and told me no problem and they didnt take any case on that and I returned back.
5. February 18, 2008. case no. 22168931.
Again the same problem, after half an hour of switch on, it got stuck. I have to press power button to switch off. Then I have to wait for 2 hours until the notebook get cool and start work, and though after half an hour it will get stuck
again. When I contacted the laptop shop, they told their responsibility over once they sold the product. It will be HP, who should do anything, so contact HP. When contacted
the service center, they kept the unit there for days. Whenever I contacted them, they told they are working on it to rectify the complaint. Finally I worte to HP CEO, and I
got a mail from South East Asia Customer Care Centre, on February 21st, 2008, stating they will assist me but I didnt get any resolution for my problem until April even I was continuously writing to them. Finally on April 24, 2008, they told they couldnt rectify the problem, so they gave me another unit as replacement with serial #2CE72603KN.
By the time I lost my work contract since I couldnt submit my work in time. Whenever I switched on the laptop, I had to run to their service center. Then, came back to Kerala without any work. so I was not using it. Again, on December
26, 2010, I started work, but again the same complaint as the earlier repeated. It got hot and stopped working after half an hour. I was totally upset. When I sent an email to CEO and President, Léo Apotheker, which forwarded to Rajesh Vaddiparthy, Manager Customer Relations South Region. He advised me to pay and repair or negotiate, sell it and buy another model . He didnt give any support. I enquired about this problem and came to know this problem is affecting many laptops due to inherently defective NVIDIA chip and is documented on net, HP withdrawn the sale of this NVIDIA MODEL due to this and there is a lawsuit at United States District Court for the Northern District of
California for NVIDIA settlement. Details of settlement, site http://www.nvidiasettlement.com.
Even though, they are not ready to respond my mails or give any resolution for my problem.

HP Pavilion dv4 series laptop — Exploitation of customers in the name of servicing.
Few days back...i had some issues with my cd-drive and at that time my laptop was in warenty period...i get it changed....from hp service centre in lucknow...i had one more complaints...the screen (flap) part of laptop was tight while i open..it...i ask them to make it open smooth......but they said..no it is all okie....its good if it is tight....i ask them...no you please do it as my warrenty is going to expire within few days...they said no its all okiee......they convineced me thant it is all okiee....But after few day i found trouble in opening my flap...it is geting more tights n rude....i again go back to them......they have checked it....and infront of me..they have broked one of my laptop's parts... and now they are asking us to repair those parts and....make the bill of around 13000......I said why i pay this...as because this is not not my fault....and it is broken by them only.....they are saying that they cannot do anything in this regard..i have to pay....but this is not my fault and i am not suppose to pay thiss..much amount...As i am student...i hv come here for my holidays and i have to go back to hyd on 28 may....i have to get my laptop repaired as soon as posible....i will not entertain any billing amount or something.....
Therefore i request you to take necessary actions as soon as possible

HP Compaq Dv6 — Mishandled of Laptop by MicroPoint Computers, Heavy Charges levied under Warranty
Hi,I have purchsed a Laptop of HP from USA, it was under warranty when i faced some power problem with it.
Surfing through net could get the list of M/s Micro Point computers of Andheri East being an authorised service provided of HP.
Micropoint accepted my laptop on 30-April-2011 and till 16-May-2011 could not give me an answer about the problem in the product, nor could check the warrenty status of the machine. On our regular followup they reverted that this product is part of Sakinaka Simtech Computroics and they could not repair it.
Simtech Computronics on 18-April-2011 accepted my laptop with through phycicall varification a) The USB has been damaged by the engineer at Micropoint b) small critical nuts have been removed from the keyboard holder by the engineer. On 24th they revered with the heavy invoice of Rs. 17,000 as cost of Motherboard and USB. I was shocked, how can HP charge for the product under warranty.
Would like to know
a) Are the replacement of product charged under warrenty
b) Why am I charged for the mistakes done by the authorised engineers of HP.

compaq620 — can not get free gift yet on the purchase of this laptop
i have bought a compaq 620 laptop on the occation of deepawali but i can not get free gift voucher on the purcgese on it. so kindaly request u to please help me to get me my gift. once a hp axicuter called me to inform that my gift will reach at my home after 3 to 4 days. but i can not get it yet. HP / Pavillion 1436TX — unsatisfaction against their services and their officials behaviour
SUB: unsatisfaction against your services and your officials behaviourI have brought HP Pavillion 1436TX laptop on[protected]. At the same moment I have also paid the dealer (Urotech telecomunication , Rohini Sec- 8, New Delhi), for the care pack for availing extended warranty of 2 years with 1 year company provided warranty.
Now, i am facing problem with my laptop's screen, it was getting blurred after just 5-6 minutes after start.
I took my laptop to your service center (Travo Technologies Ltd. A-200, Okhala Industrial Area, Phase-1, New Delhi -20) on[protected].
They checked and declared the problem with my screen, but they told me that "MY LAPTOP IS NOT IN WARRANTY". Whereas I have already paid a good amount for that extended warranty already.
After it i have contacted to the dealer mentioned above, he gave the original bill of his purchasing of my laptop from the HP's official distributer (CYBER PARK INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, 373, Kohat Enclave , Main Road, Pitampura, New delhi-34).
In both the bills it was clearly mentioned that i have taken a carepack for my laptop and they have charged me for that. AND FOR YOUR KIND INFORMATION I HAVE BOTH THE ORIGINAL BILL COPIES WITH ME. IF you want than i can send you the scanned copies.
When i contacted Cyber Park officials, they totally misbehaved with me, and told me frankly
"that they have done their duty, now what HP done with you, we dont know, and now please dont disturb us."
I am totally shocked and after it i have only one way, and that is to contact CONSUMER COURT, which i have contacted, and they give this suggesstion to first let you know about this whole incidence by any means of contact, which i am doing right now by mailing you.
and if still i havn't got any reply by you people regarding my laptop's warranty, i will surely file a case in Consumer court against your company(HP).

Hewlett Packard Pavilion Laptop — Defective Product/Customer Service
My parents bought me my HP Pavilion Laptop in October of 2010. I did'nt begin even using the laptop until late Novemeber. They bought it from a Costco in Scottsdale, AZ and I was so excited for it!! Unfortunatly, the customer service and the product itself has been nothing but trouble from the moment I initally turned it on. I started noticing the fan was a lot louder than my old Toshiba laptop. It didn't bother me too much but by the beginning of this spring, every time I'd turn on my laptop the fan woul dbe so loud, it literally sounded like an airplane taking off. It is almost july and after countless calls to customer service, and getting it repaired twice, the issue pesists. Everytime I call the custoemr service, they keep me on the line for around 2 hours... everytime! Running diagnostic tests that I tell them have already been done. Im a student studying in Paris and these phone calls cost me a fortune!! HP has basically told me that since Im not in the states, they cant do anything, even though I have an international warranty!! I have been encouraging my family, friends and fellow students to stay away from ALL HP products. What junk.HP Service Center, Gurgaon — Misleading information
I had some problem with my HP laptop as the screen of the laptop was working on a certain angle but at 90 degree angle , nothing was visible on the sccreen. The HP service center charged us the digonosis charges and sent a quotation to change the "display screen" of the lap top as it was damaged. the cost what they wanted me to pay for this replacement was Rs. 20,000 approx. I was shocked to see this qutation in the email. I did not approve the coast and sent them a reply through email that I would not like to get it fixed. I took back my lap top after a week from the service center and got it rechecked through a local laptop repairere. When he examined the laptop, he found that there is no problem with the screen and it is problem of data cable which costs us only Rs. 1500. I got that data cable changed in Rs. 1500 and now it is working fine.I am very dissappointed with the treatment what i received from HP service center. The misleading information did not only keep me in shock for two weeks but it also caused in the suspension in few of my important officiall work because of absence of the laptop.
