I had bought my new i10 car on 12/06/2008 . Subsequently after 5 months, major fault appeared in the Power Steering which rendered the car inoperable.
The fault was reported to authorized dealer at Jodhpur & took more than a week for rectifications & I faced lot of problems due to non-availability of my vehicle.
The fault being very serious in nature required complete replacement steering along with its motorized attachment. As the car was under the warranty period the replacement was free of cost but I was subjected to mental, emotional & physical agony. Had it not been under warranty period, it would've made big hole in my pocket.
Now again some serious fault has appeared in the gear box of the car rendering the car inoperable again. The reverse gear is not operating & as a result I m stuck again.
On reporting the same to service centre, I was advised to wait as the part was not available with Hyundai, Jodhpur.The car has been standing there since 5 days at service station.

We agree that fault may appear in the machines but not of such magnitude which directly interfere with car efficiency even after the repair. You'll appreciate that every car customer has emotional attachment with the asset brought with hard earned money. Due to the previous fault, the car had already hit something resulting in external surface damage which is irreparable. It is evident from history of the car that there are serious lapses on quality control resulting in major technical/manufacturing defects. This was not at all expected from a company of such a high repute but the fact remains that I've suffered a lot on this account. I've lost my confidence completely in this make & apprehend that more such faults which I'll have to bear as warranty period is about to be over.
In the light of above I want replacement for my car as due to frequent repairs & interference with original technical settings more faults will surface in future.
I've demanded them to provide replacement failing which they may attract media & legal course of action from my side. I have initiated the process of formally launching complaint against them in the court. Even the Hyundai management doesn't even bother to speak/reply against complaints & they talk of after sales.
I think the customers must think atleast 1000 times before buying i10 in future.
