To whom it may concern,
I have a debit card(salary account) with ICICI BANK,CLOCK TOWER,SECUNDERABAD branch and on December 1st when my salary got credited,I was in Kerala on a medical emergency for my mother. I went to the ICICI BANK ATM, attached to ICICI Bank, S.B.College road, Changanasseri (ATM ID S1AD0931) and selected a withdrawal SUMof RS 18000 to pay my mother's hospital bill. To my surprise only Rs 3600 came out of the ATM machine(100 Rs notes) and I lost Rs 14400(Transaction number 3752). I waited there and got a receipt saying that I had withdrawn Rs 18000 from my account. There was one person standing behind me to whom I asked not to withdraw money. I alerted the Branch operations manager immediately and she counted the money to confirm the amount. She told me that before my withdrawal 2 other people faced the same issue but for small amounts. Only after my request the shutter of the ATM was put down to avoid further mishaps. I lodged a complaint at the Bank and I had to cancel my ticket for next day to Hyderabad since the manager told me that next day only the ATM filling will happen when we will come to know whether the extra money was there in the ATM. Next day I went again and she told that Rs 27000 extra was available at the ATM machine from the previous day and my issue will be resolved in 24 hours. In the meantime, I got a complaint number on December 1st as SMS(SR[protected] which said that the problem will be addressed within 5 days. I started my journey on December 3rd from Kerala. On December 5th, I got the following SMS "Dear Customer,We are unable to reverse the transaction as it has been fully paid for as per our records." I contacted the branch operations manager again on December 5th who asked me to lodge one more complaint with the ICICI call center. I did that and the request number was SR[protected]. Till now the problem is not resolved. The branch is telling that they are helpless in this regard though they have witnessed the money I received on Dec 1st as Rs 3600 and extra money they received the next day at their ATM as around Rs 27000.Please help me to resolve this issue. I don't know whether any body who came after me had received the extra money.
