[Resolved]  ICICI Bank Credit Card — Harrasement by ICICI Credit card recovery dept for false transactions

I have been getting calls for ICICI bank employees for false credit card charges. According to ICICI credit card, the charges are for premium payment for ICICI Pru policy. Now, first thing, I have not signed any policy document with ICICI Pru, secondly, I have neither paid the premium with netbanking nor swiped the card for paying premium. Then how come I am being charged for the transactions which I have not made?

I got a call from ICICI bank guy Dhyanesh Uday (mob no: [protected]) for 7-8 times. He asked me to come to Bhandarkar road ICICI bank Pune branch for settlement of this issue. So I had been to ICICI bank Bhandarkar road, Pune today to settle this matter. Dhyanesh made me waiting after reaching bank, he told me today his manager is not available and come on monday. I took a leave from office for going to bank and after going to bank, he is telling me this thing. Then he said, wait, I will come there, then after waiting for 1 hour, he said, today its not possible.
Then I shouted on him for making me wait for 1 hour, after which he started using abusive language and used bad words. I am going to launch complaint in PRABHAT ROAD, PUNE POLICE STATION against him ( or anyone from icici bank), if he uses this language next time.

Can you please send me the credit card statement which gives details of transactions that I have made for ICICI pru policy? Also, I want to know, if I havent paid the premium online, I havent swiped the card as well, then how come the transactions are added to my statement? I need to know the reason why was the transaction of premium payment added to my account?
If this issue is not solved in 10 days, I am going to take a weeks leave and do 2 things:
1. LAUNCH COMPLAINT IN CONSUMER COURT, 2. PUBLISH THE WHOLE STORY IN PUNE MIRROR.

Once again, I am telling you, I have paid every rupee that I have spent with ICICI credit card (Pls check my payment history for this). Current outstanding charges are false as I have neither swiped my card to pay premium nor made online transaction. This is automatically added by you and should be reversed.

ICICI — Harrasement by ICICI

I am Sukhchain Singh from Ludhiana Punjab & having saving a/c[protected] in ICICI Bank Frz. Gandhi Market Br. Ludhiana. ICICI Bank alloted me a credit card [protected] with credit limit of Rs. 20000/- & then proposed a health insurance policy debiting Rs. 12000/- to my credit card a/c on[protected] in a self styled manner without my any request for credit card as well as insurance policy. On receiving insurance proposal, I immediately back-referred for cancellation of insurance policy as well as credit card. ICICI cancelled this policy vide its letters dated[protected],[protected] &[protected]. I also received an e-mail dated 9-2-2008 from ICICI that my policy had been cancelled w.e.f.[protected] & full refund of Rs.12000/- had been credited to my credit card a/c . But ICICI Bank has been showing Rs.15081/63P debit in my credit card a/c & marked lien on my saving a/c for Rs.17192/63 w.e.f. Nov.2007, which is unjustified .Inspite of repeated requests & representations till today ICICI has not removed lien from my saving a/c. ICICI has harrasing me since last two years by raising unjustified debit to my credit card & freezing my hard earned money in my saving a/c. Kindly help me. Thanks.

I got a mail from [protected]@icicibank.com saying: since ICICI Pru policy was not canceled within free lock ( 15 days) period, you have to pay the premium amount.

Now first of all, when the courier was sent, I was out of town, so I could not cancel the policy within free lock period. So I contacted ICICI Pru, Aundh, Pune branch personally and told them to cancel my policy. According to them, this Hospital Care policy can not be canceled. The only way to cancel it was stop future payment. Therefore, I wrote to ICICI account manager for stopping future payment ( I have sent a snapshot of proof to [protected]@icicibank.com).

Now, since its process flaw from ICICI Bank, and negligence of ICICI account manager, I am not going to pay for 2nd premium.

This matter have given me too much of pain in my life. Just to get out of this mental harassment, I am ready to pay first premium amount 4391Rs. I am not going to pay 2nd premium because I did sent a mail to ICICI Account manager on 05/05/2009 ( Proof attached ) to stop further payments to ICICI Pru for this policy.

Since 2nd premium was paid because of ICICI's negligence, I am not going to pay for it.

I havent got even single rupee benefit out of this matter, still just to get out of this pain, I will pay 4391Rs and not a single rupee above that. Let me know if this is fine with you.

I have not got any resolution yet. Your representative have contacted me and informed that my policy is closed now. But no-one have bothered to find out why was the 2nd premium paid from my credit card, when even after my instruction to stop the payment.

I visited ICICI Suma house, Bhandarkar road, Pune office and met Mr. Upendar Bulbule Debt Manager. Before starting conversation, he assured me that if he finds that fault is from ICICI, then he can settle it. When we explained complete matter along with proofs, he changed his words. At end he said, he doesnt want to understand this, he simply gave a random amount 16, 978Rs, and said that he can settle this matter if we pay this amount.


Now this is the flaw of processes of ICICI, and mistake of account manager also both departments are not in sync with each other, and because of same reason, I have been charged 2 premiums i.e. 4391+4391 = 8782 Rs.

I am ready to pay the first premium amount ( 4391) as I could not cancel the policy within free lock( 15 days ) period. Since 2nd premium was charged to me because of negligence of ICICI account manager and flaw in ICICI processes, I am not going to pay for 2nd premium.
Let me know if this if fine with ICICI.
