[Resolved]  ICICI Bank Credit Card — Disputes in card

Dear Sir,

I want to draw your kind attention that,

I was holding an ICICI bank EMI credit card of NO. [protected].

I got that card on 19th September 2008.Later I found that my card statement started from 4th September 2008. It should start from 19th September 2008, after the activation of the card. I also did not get the hard copy of that statement.

Later I found there is another no [protected].Then I asked the ICICI bank about that No. they have explained me that that is my credit card account no.

But initially I did not find any such no in my card statement as well as my credit card brochure.

That’s why I am attaching the scan copy of my credit card statement hard copy as well as the pdf format which I got later from ICICI bank.

I am also telling you that as it was an EMI card that means from the beginning I am getting the EMI facility of fixed Rs. 1000 according to the brochure given along with that credit card. But each and every month I when I got the card statement, they have never mentioned EMI of Rs. 1000. They have mentioned minimum amount due Rs. 2000.

Then I asked ICICI bank customer care about that, they have told me that in there record,

EMI has been mentioned of Rs. 2000.That means they are violating the brochure which I got along with the credit card. Then I told them to correct that, but they denied doing that.

After finding all these disputes I have stopped paying the dues, which is from the month of May 2009. I have also found they have charged some wrong interest in my card statement, which is violating the criteria of my credit card brochure that means the brochure which I got along with the credit card was absolutely meaningless.



Few months back I got a legal notice from the legal department of ICICI bank, there also I found my credit card no. is [protected], in that letter they have not mentioned my card no is [protected].

I think there must be something wrong from the ICICI bank. If proper investigation has been done against that, then I think the actual issue will be revealed.

I think they are matching with any other credit card with my credit card.
Please look into this matter strictly. I think I am get cheated by ICICI bank, because money is not easy task to earn. So why I will give unnecessary extra money to ICICI bank. Please check all these things, and suggest me suitable solution for that.
I have made a complaint against ICICI bank credit card in RBI Ombudsman on 4th August 2010 with the following complaint number [protected]. In reply of that RBI has given your mail ID and told me that I will get a call from your side.
But till now I did not receive any call from your side.
The another thing is that yesterday I got a call from the no [protected] the contact person was Ms. Anjali. She initially told me that I am holding two ICICI bank credit cards, with the following number [protected] and [protected]. But I strongly objected that I do not hold the card no [protected]. In reply to that she told me that I am lying. In the ICICI database these two card no has been registered in my name. I repeatedly denying about that I dont hold the card of the number [protected].Then she was trying to blackmail me that she will call my parents and tell them that I am cheating with ICICI bank and she will harass until and unless I do agree with her words.Then she connected another person named Sandip for this purpose,
I told him the detail about the issue, then he told me that actually the card [protected] was initially dispatched to my address and as I was not present in my home the card was returned back to ICICI bank mumbai office.Few days later they once again sent it to my address and once again it was return back to the office.
After that they prepared another card [protected] as a replacement of that card which I got actually on 19th September 2008 and as it was a replacement card so the account no of that card was [protected]. But these things were never intimated ever by ICICI bank officially.
I have never get any official mail, or letter or phone calls about that. If I am wrong then you please check it out from your call records, or database records.
The brochure I got with the card [protected] it was strictly mentioned that the fixed EMI is Rs. 1000.
But every month I got the EMI of Rs. 2000 in my credit card statement. In the credit card statement hard copy I have never found the no [protected] as my credit card account no. but in the email statement I found the no [protected] as my credit card account no.
Yesterday night when they called me and given me the explanation then I asked them to send me an official letter of this clarification/ explanation, but they refuses to do that. They told me these things are done only by telephonic discussion. So later how can I prove that these explanation was given to me?
I actually failed to pay the amount on January 2009. but the penalty or late payment charge was claimed from me on the basis of Rs. 2000 EMI not Rs. 1000 EMI.
and after that each month they were claiming late payment charge in my credit card statement. Then I called the customer care about that matter.
But they gave me wrong explanation. I repeatedly called them and mailed them, but each and every time they told me that I have to follow the Rs 2000. EMI as it was registered in ICICI bank database. So according to that the brochure which was sent along with the credit card was meaningless or valueless.
I want to solve this problem, but I did not get proper steps from your side. I repeatedly get threatening call from your side, that my intention is not to pay the dues.
But you will find till April 2009 I regularly paid the dues. I have also given you my contact no to discuss about that problem.
If these sort of disputes are there from your side then why should I pay for the wrong chargeable amount.When I did not get proper clarification or explanation from your side then I stopped paying my dues because money is not easy to earn.
