[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — AFTER CLEARANCE OF DUES - STATEMENT OF NON PAYMENT BEING SEEN

Dear Si,

I had received a letter dated 5/2/11 from ICICI Credit Card section mentioning that they would adjust the total outstanding amount of Rs.43113.65 from my bank account if payment if not made within 7 days of receipt of the letter. On 17/2/11, I called up their collection department who came to my resi and collected Rs.25,000/- towards adjustment of the above amount and that the balance amount he would again collect on the weekend. However, on checking with the bank, I was informed that the full amount of Rs.43113.65 was removed from my bank account by the credit card dept on 15/2/11. I then got in touch with their customer care and after several calls, agreed to refund the amount of Rs.25000 but after deduction of late fee and hence, on 20/2/11 redeposited Rs.23051 into my account. I am now getting statement from the credit card mentioning that they have posted my statement to me. The said card no. [protected] had expired on 11/09 and the bank refused to issue me a card and I have been making payment against the loan amount till Feb 11, when the entire debt was cleared. I fail to understand how I owe the bank any further amount and how can they generate a statement firstly for a dead card which was totally cleared by me on 15/2/11. I keep calling customer care and am not given a satisfactory reply. I am holding their letter confirming that they would be using banker's lien on my s/baccount, copy of the bank slip wherein they have claimed the entire amount as well as the refund of the additional amount of Rs.22051 against the original amount of Rs.25000/-
