Indigo has been the safest and my preferred airline, I was comfortable in travelling alone from Bangalore to Kolkata but the most recent behavior of the airport staff of Indigo and the managers on duty has shaken my faith. My Ticket UI99LN for Rs.7,996 was confirmed, but when I was in the queue, indigo airport staff was told that I cannot board the flight 6E 275 scheduled to depart at 10:55am Fri 30 Sep 2011 and even though I was at the airport standing in the long queue well ahead of the reporting time.
Later I found that my father received an email On Fri, Sep 30, 2011 at 9:27:19 AM saying the cost for the same ticket has changed and the new price was Rs 17,186.94 and the updated flight number is 6E343 scheduled for departure at 17:55 on the same day.
One and an half hr before boarding the flight and in the airport, the airport staff was asking me to magically produce Rs. 10,000+, which they finally settled for Rs. 4000.00 but for the 17:55 flight. I do not understand why this email would have been sent to my Dad when I was standing in the queue and being denied boarding the flight by a very rude staff.
This has been a very unfortunate incident that took me by surprise and I am seeking assistance in how I can take this up further with the right authorities. Was this information helpful? |
