I had booked a ticket with Indigo Airline 6E-IndiGo, flight number 191 (Airline PNR: VFC1EM), from 'Patna' to 'New Delhi' for the 15th of July 2011. The scheduled departure and arrival time was 2:30 PM and 4:05 PM respectively. Due to some reason, there was a delay of about an hour at the LNJPN Airport at Patna. The flight finally departed from Patna Airport at 3:35 PM. The flight reached the IGI Terminal 1D Airport, New Delhi at 5:20 PM.
I had a connecting flight from the same IGI Terminal 1D Airport to Chandigarh, which was scheduled to depart at 5:40 PM. On making it to the counter of the airline, I was told that the counter had been closed 25 minutes back and it was not possible to accommodate me further. I was thus denied the boarding pass and told to leave. The substantial loss regarding both the ticket price and time have been harsh and uncalled for. There was ample amount of time to complete all the necessary formalities at the Airport, had the Airline been on time.
I therefore demand from the concerned officials at IndiGo, who take pride in rendering their services on time, compensation to the tune of loss suffered by me and an explanation for the delay caused. All the relevant documents have been enclosed for necessary action at you end. I am also mailing a hard copy to all the concerned departments for redressal of my grievance.
