[Resolved]  Indigo Airlines — Denied boarding

I have booked a flight through Makemytrip for Hyderabad to Imphal for today (2 March 2010) but I was refused to board the flight due to my pregnancy. It would be much appreciated if the refunds are credited
into my account at the earliest possible opportunity. The details of my flight (connecting flight) are

Hyderabad to Kolkata
Christina Lianlamching (PNR Number Z2NICD), Khumginsang Hanghal and
Noelle Lalmuanpuii (PNR Number Z2YZLD for both).

Kolkata to Imphal
Christina Lianlamching, Khumginsang Hanghal and Noelle Lalmuanpuii
(PNR Number H2MRAH for all)

With this letter I would like to point out my grievances:

1) I had called the customer care service and had informed the executive that I am a pregnant woman with two children but he has not informed me of any restrictions that Indigo has.
2) I had previously taken Indigo Airlines at the my latest stage of pregnancy for my second child (36 weeks) and I do not know for any reason why I had been refused this time.
3) I would bring to your attention that your ground personnel are such a careless big crew that they have not noticed me at the check in and gave me the boarding pass. Even at the boarding gate my boarding
passes were checked and everything was fine till then but as I was approaching the gate they stopped me. I request you to please keep professionals.

I have gone through the terms and conditions on your website and other related information sources. There is no disclaimer or condition that mentions that I cannot travel due to the lateness of my pregnancy. Other airlines permit travel even upto the 38th week with a medical certificate issued 7 days before the actual day of travel.

The fact that I was allowed to check in, given a boarding pass, and asked to proceed to the aircraft to board and then denied entry has put me and my children under extreme mental and physical stress. I need to be compensated adequately for my missed flight, the fact that I have to cancel all of my appointments, my bookings for hospital stay in Manipur etc at a considerable cost. Additionally, I dont think you can replace my parent's as well as my grandparents mental distress at my being denied the flight. I am ready to cooperate in anyway but I will absolutely not back out on two major things:

1. Full and complete refund of my ticket.
2. Adequate compensation for the mental and physical harassment meted out to me and my children, either financially or otherwise.
3. A formal written apology from Indigo on the mistake you have done to me.

I would appreciate that the appropriate and necessary action are taken
to avoid any more inconvenience.

Denying a passenger AFTER giving a boarding pass is totally unacceptable, especially a pregnant woman with two small children. Indigo should make amends soon otherwise, Christina, you should open a case with the Consumer Courts in your city.

Me and my 1 year old infant were scheduled to fly on indigo flight 6E-435 from indoor to new delhi departing at 10:05 on sunday 27 April 2014. When i reached the indigo counter for delhi flight the supervisor shifted me to next counter i waited more then 10 minutes for my turn in that cue and when it was my turn the supervisor informed that i was standing in the wrong cue. I was shocked. as it was 9:45 by that time. I said that the other supervisor guided me to this counter and when she was asked about it she straight away refused. Thanks to the passenger standing behind me who supported me and confirmed that the supervisor was lying. But despite of their staff member's mistake they denied boarding. I requested them so much, my daughter was crying a lot i was handling my baggage alone along with my daughter but nobody helped. I even missed my next flight to delhi as no one was there to help or guide me.I am sure that the flight was overbooked or i was not entertained because mine was a discounted flight. Do you think if a passenger is paying less he/she is not that important. Though i suffered a loss of Rs 3530 only i want full refund from the airline and compensation for the loss suffered.
