I booked Indigo Flight through makemytrip. I checked in on time and was in queue for boarding. The boarding was still happening when i went to the washroom but when i came back after 2-3 minutes they did not let me board. The ground staff was very rude and was screaming. It was my brothers engineering entrance exam in Bangalore but they did not let us go. They adjusted one ticket (after paying charges and difference in fair of 4000 rs) and they promised that luggage will get accommodated in adjusted flight. I checked with them thrice since it contained my brothers books and admit card for exam. However when he landed his luggage was not their. They said that they have misplaced it and it will come by night. Due to this my brother was crying as he did not have books to study for exam and the luggage was misplaced which had his admit card.
Also, since they did not have any seat available for any of the flights to Bangalore, i had to buy current ticket of Spice Jet for 20000 Rs.
I seek refund of my ticket for 15000 that i booked for myself, the 4000 rs paid as difference in fair and charges and the 20000 rs spent on Spicejet ticket.
I also seek equitable relief for the harassment caused to a yound student that the airline caused by misplacing his luggage containing books and admit card.
I attach the Boarding pass picture which was cancelled and it shows that I had indeed checked in on time.
Looking for support against these airlines who overbook and harass customers.
