My name is Vikas Patel. I tried to book online movie tickets on 1feb 2010 for 9:40pm show at Inox Garuda Mall, Bangalore.
I used inoxmovies.com to book tickets for 5 peoples
I filled every details, my card number and made payment of Rs.925. Ticket amount was deducted from my account but i didnt get my tickets. After making payment i found an error message from inox. But at the same time Rs925 was deducted.
I went to Inox Cinemas and met manager of Inox Garuda Mall, Bangalore.
I explained him every detail of my problem. He assured me that my money will be refunded within 7-10days.. He said me to send a mail to inox informing about online ticket problem.
I did as he siad.. in response to my mail i recieved reply from inox cinemas asking for all details used for booking ticket.
I send my all details for several times but its been almost a month i havent recieved any reply from inox cinemas. They are so irresponsible to refund money.. it about to be a month that i have'nt recieved my money back..
So i would like to take some legal action against Inox Leisure Limited..
I will also expect compesation from Inox Leisure Ltd for delay to refund my money and also for the expenses that i have inccured in travelling to inox three times.
They are fooling customers by these online ticketing procedures..
and im been a victim of their fraud... so i would request Consumer Forum to take action against them as soon as possible otherwise they will continue to use their fraud against several other peoples.

I also faced the same issue. However i need to complain to them online. What is the e-mail id? I do not remember the exact ticket details but i need to complain first.

Inox Leisure Limited — INCONVENIENCE

We had visited Inox, City Centre, Kolkata on 24th Dec and were standing in the queue to buy tickets. The people at Inox were trying to put some lights which was a lot of problem to people there. On telling them to do tha later, some man turns around and says, if you have a problem, come back later, we cannot stop our work for one person. On asking his name, he says, I am the manager here, you can do what you want to.
didnt know this is Inox standard????????????

    Hi,

    I had tried to book few tickets on the site www.inoxmovies.com but actually
    did not get a mail regarding confirmation of tickets, instead got a mail stating that
    tickets could not be confirmed and subject as “Inox - Pune Ticket Information ( Status Failed )”.
    But the amount of Rs 960.00 actually got deducted from my account for the same booking.

    Transaction ID : VIN/M/s. Inox L/[protected]/0

    So, I registered a complaint at ICICI Mobile Banking, the complaint No was : SR[protected].
    But today, I received a message that says that “ We are unable to reverse the Visa POS transaction
    of 960.00 on[protected] as it has been approved and claimed by visa.”

    In this mail, I am attaching the screenshot of the mail which I received from INOX
    stating the “failed status” of the ticket. Please, look into this matter and guide me,
    what next has to be done.

      I was trying to book a movie ticket using http://eticketing2.inoxmovies.com/ on 30th Dec 2009.
      The booking was failed when I entered my credit card details. I also received email regarding the failure of the transaction. But when I saw my credit card statement INOX had charged the ticket amount Rs.165. I sent email to [protected]@inox.co.in and [protected]@inox.co.in regarding this but I did not receive any reply till now.

      Same thing happened to me as well. i tried booking movie tickets using the same http://eticketing2.inoxmovies.com/ on 30th dec 2009. After I entered my credit card details, the booking failed. I didnt get any mail or sms from INOX saying that booking has been done or not done.. nothing..
      When I tried reaching them on telephone also.. no response. Even mailed them to [protected]@inox.co.in. No use.
      I saw my credit card statement and checked with the concerned bank ppl as well. Amount Rs 330 has been taken by INOX but i didnt get tickets at all.. I am planning to go in person and check with them..

      I booked 3 tickets online on 12th Jan and the first 2 transactions are failed due to web page error and I did not receive confirmation. Only 3rd time, the bookings are successful. But when i saw the credit card bill, 4 times, the ticket amount is reported.

      Inox is doing credit card fraud... when i try to file a complaint with my credit card company they said they got around 25 complaints against inox.. some one need to do something about this... they are going beyond the limit.. i feel like they wantedly failing the transactions just to earn money... thats y i love sathyam... even if they charge mistekenly they will credit it on the same day.. you dont have to follow up.. inox need to some thing .. this is not at all fair.. i want my money back immediatly..when you can charge my account in 5 sec refund my money in 5 sec..
      Pls let me know how to cancel the tickets and get back the money

      Finally I got the amount refunded just two days back.
      I had sent an email to them ([protected]@inox.co.in) and registered a complaint in Inox as well.
      They asked for some details to refund the amount and within 7 working days it got credited into my account. No use in calling them.. Just go in person and register a complaint.
      I was booking 3 tickets by my citibank credit card for inox movie, the transaction failed but the amount of Rs 420 was charged from my cedit card account. My 2nd transaction was successful of Rs 420. Kindly refund my Rs 420 amount. This happened on 10th January 2010 at 7.44pm, approval No:064971, and at 10th January 7.50pm, approval code 889103 . Kindly take necessary action

      I got my amount back after one month
      I booked 4 movie tickets in Swabhumi Inox on 02.01.2010 through my credit card in tele booking option. I arrived at the counter 30 mts prior to the show time and demanded my tickets but I was told that I should have collected it 1 hour ahead of the show time and the tickets were not handed over to me. I had no other option and had to return home. It did not strike to my mind that the amount has already been debited to my account

      On updating my credit card account yesterday l found that the entire amount of Rs. 786.18 was deducted from my account on account of booking those tickets which were not handed over even after reaching the hall 30 mts prior to the show time.

      I would now request you to make an enquiry on the facts and credit the entire amount on my account since with no fault of mine the amount was deducted and moreover I was harassed on that day along with my family.
      Further, I would also like to suggest you that henceforth information pertaining to the collection time of the tickets should also be given to the party who books the ticket telephonically.

      i also booked 4 tickets on feb 3 and i lost 520 rs.i have decided not to watch any movie in inox. satyam should learn how to value the customer from satyam cinema. for the first time i booked in inox and lost money and time.
      I was trying to book a movie ticket using http://eticketing2.inoxmovies.com/ on 22nd January 2010. The booking failed when I entered my credit card details and I also got the failure message. So I booked the ticket again. But when I saw my credit card statement INOX has charged me the amount twice, one for the failed transaction too which is an amount of Rs.320.
      I have not received any refund till date.

      Yes I also faced a similar issue for a ticket booked on 03rd Feb 2010 for Inox Chennai for a show on 05th Feb 2010 12:10pm for movie "Aayirathil Oruvan" with reference No 195714 for seats E17 & E18 using my SBI credit card.
      My first online payment was a failure and I received an email from [protected]@inox.co.in that your payment Rs260 will be credited back in 7 working days.
      I have contacted them to their emails [protected]@inox.co.in, [protected]@inox.co.in & [protected]@inox.co.in. But no acknowledgement or reply from them. Its been almost 1 month still I haven't received the refund yet. This has lead to a very bad impression on INOX and decided not to watch movies with them in future. I have a feeling that they are deliberately doing this and using the money for "Rotation".

      Same incident has happen to me also. Rs 780 was deducted and the transaction has failed. Can somebody post the customer service number of INOX. Legal action should be taken against them.
      Well, The same thing has happened again to me on 19th Feb 2010. I have sent an email to their [protected]@inox.co.in. I''ll wait for a few days then I'm planning to lodge a complaint in consumer court for the harassment against them.

      Finally I got the refund on 20th Mar 2010 for the ticket booked on 02nd Feb 2010. I went directly to INOX chennai on 11th Mar 2010 met Mr. Vignesh, [protected], vignesh.[protected]@inox.co.in. He said that the details was insufficient to refund, I gave him the hard copies of my credit card and the "show" details, He told me it will be credited in 4 working days, I waited until 19th Mar 2010 and called him then he once again requested the complete details in email.

      As mentioned in my earlier message above, I will never watch a film with these fraud guys INOX due to the hardships caused.

      I am another victim of INOX online booking issue. I booked 6 tickets for Rs.780. Transaction failed first time so I tried to book again. I found the same seats that I was trying to book earlier were still available. I assumed the last transaction had failed and hence I booked the tickets again.
      I am receiving my banks statement and surprised to find both the transactions successful. The first transaction had never reverted back.
      I am going to take similar action as taken by Mr.Shasidharan above me.

      I was trying to book my tickets for the movie " boss n baskaran " on 15th sep'10, but due to technical reasons the tickets were never booked and my credit card bill stormed me by debiting 4 times of the ticket money i.e, Rs.390, totalling to Rs.1560.. And when contacted the inox people they tld it wil be refunded in 10 days but even after two weeks i didnt get the refund and when again contacted they just told me to wait for the refund and then cuts the line without a proper responce..       I booked 4 tickets online for the movie Kahaani 1:10 show on 08.04.2012 Sunday.

      the money has been Deducted Twice from my A/c 689.89 X 2 =1379.78

      First, the transaction got Cancelled & No tickets were booked, i tried again & the tickets were booked this time.But today (Monday-09.04.2012) i received a message from my Bank saying that money has been deducted from my A/c for booking of Movie tickets, again i received a message with the same text but with different Balance amt. within a span of 5 mins.

      When contacted they gave me this link and asked me to write & said money will be refunded in 10 working days.

      This was my First Experience with Inox and I am really Surprised with the Kind of Fraud they are Practicing.

      I was trying to book movie tickets from your website, www.inoxmovies.com on Wednesday for the movie Eega for a Sunday, 8th July, 10 AM show at INOX JP Nagar, Bangalore.

      After doing the payment at the payment gateway, your website told me that the booking has failed. I was charged Rs 594.27 on my Citibank credit card. Please arrange for the refund of the same and acknowledge that to me in a mail. I did not receive any such acknowledgement on your website. You website is in bad condition and needs to be rebuilt. It fails all the time.

      I booked for 7 seats it charged around 1526.26 rs from my account.
      After doing the payment at the payment gateway, final page it showed me as booking has failed. I was charged Rs 1526.27 on my ICICIbank credit card.       Absolutely disappointing facilities here. Three hour long movie and the air conditioning doesn't work. The whole place stinks like a morgue.

        It was sunday date 22 November 2009. My brother booked 8 tickets of "ajab prem ki gazab kahani", show time was 6.45 in INOX, City. When I was entering in theater Guard checked my pockets, there was just 4 peanuts (ground nuts) in my pocket. Guard say me to leave these nuts but I promise him that I will not eat it in theater and began to climb ladder of escalator. Suddenly after 3 ladders some thing stucked in my elbow and I was lucky that I was not fall down and harmed becasue escalator was running. You know what was stucked in my elbow, it was manager who pull me from running escalator for just 4 peanuts. When I asked him for his misbehaviour, he started shouting on me. He say that what type of hospitality you are expecting by paying just only Rs. 115-120 (just count we were 8 person (100+15)+10.3%*8=1014.76 i.e. 1015). I say him that I am customer not you are, how can you talk to me in this manner. He say that we see many customers here so what, we slaps these customer with shoes. I challenged him to slap me, then he threat me to cancel my ticked. Then my brother came there and say me to leave all that and enjoying the movie.

        Now see that what type of Hospitality provided me by the management:
        1. When I entered in hall another person was sat on my seat. I call the peon and ask him for my seat. He take 15 minutes in all that.

        2. In interval I go to buy some samosas and kachoris, and coffee, cold drinks etc. The charges for all that was too high and in taste these were zero. Kachori and samosas are tasteless and too cold and quality of material was also not good. In coffee there was no coffee powder and it was also tasteless.

        3. After "The End" when we were going through exit ladders there were too much dirt and water was also spread there. No lighting arrangement.

        So Jaipurites I will suggest you to not to go to INOX, City Plaza, Jaipur with your family. I think it was my worst experience to watch a movie in a theater. I think single screen are better in providing facilities with sufficient charges, good food quality and more freedom to bring foods from outside and wide range of food.

        Multiplexes will not run for more days because of mini theaters at home, mini theater in malls with a capacity of 10 to 30 seats and more freedom. Whenever we enteres in a Multiplex guards checks our pockets, children bags and other carriage, we feel like a thief or terrorist.

        I decided to not to go to INOX in future, Because there is no value of customer. Customer is nothing for them. The Manager of A national level multiplex chain behaves like that can you expect it? I think there is no proper system in INOX to give training to their senior staff. If their senior staff is behaving like that than you can expect what type of behaviour from their junior staff.

          I did an online transaction for purchase of tickets on their website, My credit card was charged for an amount of 1290 for 6 tickets, but the website did not provide any confirmation details of my ticket. when i called their customer care number, an executive said he cannot help in this matter , and i need to send an e-mail. I sent an e-mail to the addresses he gave, and i got a reply asking for the same details which i had already sent them in my first mail.

          Later when i contact the bank the same day, the bank informed that the card has been charged, but most probably vendors will not claim the amount if they have'nt provided you with the tickets.

          But i was shocked when i saw an amot of 1290 appearing in my statement a few days later, when i contacted the bank they said that the inox has claimed the amout already and the bank had paid them the amount.

          Now the bank is asking me to fill a transaction dispute form to claim the amount back, upon recieving the form from me the bank will de an investigation and this would take arount 45 to 60 days.

          I had a similar experience with Book My Show .com, where the payment thru credit card went thru, but the tickets did not get booked. However in this case the Book my show team was sensible and they did not claim the amount. Compared to which i feel i've had a grave experience with inox.

          I have been charged twice for Rs. 1175.00 dated 11/12/09 by Inox leisure Ltd. Bangalore. Both times the transaction did not go through.
          As per ICICI Bank( Credit Card Issuing Bank) the transaction numbers for the two are 667584 and 973032.
          Kindly credit a total of Rs 2350.00 for the two transactions into my account immediately.
          I had a similar experience with Inox on 1st January 2010, and an amt of INR 430/- has been debited to me, which cannot be charged to me.

          I have been charged twice by Inox leisure Ltd. Bangalore-2. Only one transaction has gone through but Inox has charged my credit card twice for Rs.495.
          Transaction 1) 11.34 AM - claim code 074199 -- This transaction did not go thru but still i am charged.

          Transaction 2) 11.42 AM - claim code 921103 - The transaction went thru.

          Inox has claimed the money from citi bank on 2nd Jan for Rs.495 twice.

          Pls credit back the amount to my credit card ASAP.
          I have the same experience while purchesing the movie ticket on line

          I booked 2 tickets for vettaikaran on 18 dec 2009 which cost about 260/-, again i booked 2 tickets for the same movie on the same date and time cost about 260/- but extra 260/- is dedited from my account, i booked through icici credit card. i have the proof of the bill and i asked this querry in the bank but they asked me to complaint to you. please revert back my amount 260/- my mobile number is [protected]
          Complaint is valid. On 4 occasions i myself prsented my HSBC Master card at the ticket counter and on all 4 occasions they swiped it and later told me that their system is not working.

          I tried thrice (twice in SWAGAT BANGALORE and once in INOX, J.P NAGAR BANGALORE) to book 4 tickets for movie and it got failed, but the money got deducted from the credit card(HDFC). I also confirmed with the INOX customer care and they confirmed that tickets are not booked in my name. Details are as below,

          Location: SWAGAT BANGALORE.
          Schedule: 6:10PM, 12/12/2010.
          Booking date: 12/12/2010.
          Transaction ID: 033268 and 023628.
          Amount: Rs 780 * 2
          Total = Rs 1560.

          Movie: SUPER
          Location: J.P NAGAR BANGALORE.
          Schedule: 6:20PM, 12/12/2010.
          Booking date: 12/12/2010.
          Transaction ID: 038288.
          Amount: Rs 740

          TOTAL AMOUNT: Rs 2300.

          Could you please refund my money.

          I also tried to book 2 tickets for the Ishaqzaade movie and went for online ticketing booking at inoxmovies.com.
          God, they deducted my money but there was no ticket...they sent an email stating that "within 10 working days, my money will be refunded! And if it doesnt they i'll have to revert thru some emails to these guys"...Am feeling cheated! This is crap...bull crap...
          HELLO I M SURESH KUMAR JAISWAL FROM HOWRAH(KOLKATA), ACTUALLY I WANT TO SAY THAT YESTERDAY I WAS BOOKING 3 TICKETS FOR ENGLISH AND VINGLISH AT SWABHUMI DATED 14 OCT 2012 TIME 5:25 PM BUT MY ACCOUNT WAS DEDUCTED RS:600.67 FOR BOOKING BUT I DID NOT RECEIVED ANY CONFIRMATION DETAILS FOR MY TICKET SO UR REQUESTED TO REFUND MY MONEY OR GIVE ME THE TICKET.

            On 02.08.2009, I went with my family (4 members) to watch a new release. While purchasing ticket I was misguided by the Customer Associate, Ms. Shefali, and without even caring to know my requirements she gave me 2 tickets with nos.[protected]EC-A-1) &[protected]EX Q-13) for Rs.90 & Rs.130 respectively for a show of 2.50 p.m. I asked her an explanation to this and told her that I was trying to inform her I was asking for 4 avaialble tickets and the rates but she said that she heard me saying to give the available tickets but never bothered to know how many in numbers. The seats of the tickets were confusing and so I requested her to take back the tickets and book 4 tickets for the next show. She refused to do so. As such I seeked the help of the Manager. I was astonished at his statement when he told me that the tickets cannot be taken back and asked me to sell them instead. I requested him politely to help me out to get 4 tickets for the next show as my children were eager and the tickets were getting sold out but we were kept waiting for a long time and then later another CCA comes and told us that they cannot help us out, which provoked me to talk excitedly. so he and the Manager tried to settle out by saying that are offering us 4 Complimentary tickets for the next show. this was another surprising statement and I told them that I am not asking for a free favour and they cannot quote 'complimentary' as I have already paid half the price of the tickets. They both then asked us again to sell the tickets outside the counter which made my husband talk loudly on the floor of the booking counter. The Manager then misbehaved with my husband and shouted back at him and made statements like "You are hampering the peace" (which is a seriously objectionable remark) and straightaway refusing me to solve the problem or even arranging for the tickets for the next show and went away. He even went to the extent of calling some private security person asking them to take my husband away. We were shocked at his behaviour and left the multiplex then. This is a serious matter and we felt very humiliated in front of public. I seek the help of you now to look into this matter and take necessary action so as to enable civil customers like us to get justified care and service in lieu of payment as we visit such places for entertainment and not for encountering problems. Please help us

              Sir,
              I am an employee of the Office of the Principal Accountant General(Audit), Kolkata and my home town is Burdwan. I went to purchase tickets for 01.08.2009 (bengali film-"AMARO PORAN JAHA CHAYE", time-3.05pm) on 31.07.2009 evening at about 7.30pm. I told the boy sitting in the Box Office to give me tickets for 01.08.2009 (3.05pm show i.e. "AMARO PORAN JAHA CHAYE"). But as he was speaking with his girlfriend he didn't hear me properly and gave me a ticket on 31.07.2009 (7.48pm show). Immediately, I told him to change the tickets as he gave me the wrong tickets. He told me he cant do so and sent me to speak to the manager of Inox Burdwan. When I spoke with the manager, he just told me he cant do nothing to help me. I thought that I can watch the film on 01.08.09 with my family members at Inox as ur Hall is a renowned one. I purchased 4 tickets, I dont need the money back but this type of misbehaviour from the manager as well as the employee sitting in the box office is not expected from such a big organisation like "INOX". This is simply disgusting. The manager even told me that "you can do nothing if I dont give you back the money". I just wanted to tell that the mistake is from your side, tell the boy to accept his mistake. Instead of telling the boy he simply told me he cant help me. Anyway, this is really not expected from "INOX". From, today, I will never visit INOX, nor at Burdwan not at Kolkata with my family or friends. I will even tell my friends not to visit as well. We always get good behaviour from 89 cinemas, Durgapur, but this type of behaviour is not at all expected from you.
              I shall be highly obliged if you please be kind enough to look after the matter seriously.

                i got this letter my relatives r in uk i farward this to them and i got the replay as fake letter honda motor conducts written test, group discussion technical interview, hr interview they do not send any mails if any one selected from other contries they will send visa and ticket free and all responsiblities r offered by them please dont deposit any money to them for visa processing if so u will be foollllllll

                    Cancellation of Movie Ticket

                    I had booked 5 tickets online for "Varanam Aayiram" for the 9.50 pm show on 28 November 2008.

                    The reference number is 104514 with seat numbers N:15, N:16, N:17, N:18 & N:19.

                    As the cyclone had hit Chennai and it was impossible to get out, i had called customer service executives to cancel the tickets.

                    The response i got was the most stupidest i have heard considering the circumstances...
