[Resolved]  Legend Book Co — FRAUD

Hi Rakesh Here... Recently we have registered a company and within few days we got a VPP to the office address worth of 2100 rs. We got surprised as none o[censored]s (we are three directors) have ordered any books from this Divya Books Publications! I tried tried to figure it out and saw this platform. Thanks a lot everybody for sharing your thoughts... You saved us by being cheated... If you ever get confused and fee suspicious about these... send them back... you can buy the books anytime anyway... right...

I was wondering is there anyway to find out these culprits and send them behind the bars...? to them... "Hey...Guys! If you ever happened to read this... be ware... we are behind you... waiting for the right time... Easy way to make money will show you the easy way to the prison"

IN FACT, A COPY OF THIS BLOG CAN BE SENT TO GPO NEW DELHI-1 AND THE PATEL NAGAR POLICE STATION OR THE COMMISSIONER DELHI POLICE.

THANKS TO THIS SITE, WE ALSO RECEIVED A PARCEL TODAY FOR 2547/- VPP, BUT CHECKED ON GOOGLE AND DECLINED THE SAME.

IT SEEMS THEY ARE SELLING SOME NON RELEVANT OR MAY BE RELEVANT BOOKS AT AGAIN MAYBE DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THE COST AND MAKE QUICK MONEY.

THEY CAN BE TRACKED BY THE RECEIVER OF THE PARCELS RETURNED FROM THE ORIGIN OF DESPATCH POST OFFICE.

THE MODUS OPERANDI IS THROUGH NEW COMPANY DATA RECEIVED FROM ROC SITE...

PLEASE KEEP UP THE NOBLE AND GOOD WORK OF SUCH AWARENESS.

We have registered a private firm recently and today we have received the same parcel from the Legend Book co, new delhi..due to the above comments i couln't own the parcel.

I have also received a similar parcel by VPP Rs. 2184 + Transport Charges ... Said to be employee rule book ...

I received a parcel notification from one Legend Book Co. Delhi-32 immediately after my company registration with a payment notification of Rs.2340+117 totally 2457, which I have not ordered for. I THINK IT IS A FRAUD COMPANY

Same happened with us. We also received a parcel after our company got registered. It is a fraud. Plzzzzzzz stay away from it...

My mother in law paid 2, 450 unwittingly for an unsolicited package from "Legend Books co".
May I know if any of you pursed this to escalate this to police or get the money back from them?

I have just registered my new company, the same thing happened with me today postman came with the VPP, immediately i have searched on google and got the information in front of postman and denied to receive it.

I fell to such a trap.I think the Indian Post should do something to
stop such a scam. It should have some tracking system so that such
people should be tracked.

I wish someone files a case against them. I got the same thing 2500/- VVP. I called my auditor and he said that is a crap from this company "Legend book co" . Don't accept that. I just googled to see if someone faced similar thing. looks like I;'m not alone.

Thanks for the precious reviews which saved my precious money around 5000 rupees .The parcels came from legend book company, New Delhi and one ore parcel from Ambika book company, New Delhi. Please be safe guys while you receive such couriers . Dont take unless u have ordered them personally .

Dear All, We have incorporated a pvt ltd company a month ago. Today we have received a VPP parcel in the name of the company by Post from First Book Co, 323, Ist Floor, Kucha Ghasi Ram, Chandini Chowk, Delhi. Post man demanded rupees 2150 for delivering the books. Luckily i asked my staff ( who was about to pay )what is the content and took the parcel in my hand. On seeing the parcel itself i got suspicious something is not wright. As i am the only person who orders books online i know for sure that this must be a fraud. So I took a snap of the parcel for future ref. i just googled to know more about this book store and found similar stories. I am quite sure that all the above stated book stores must be operated by the same bunch of thieves by changing the name frequently. If any of the victims want to proceed legally and want a proof of address can contact me.

Hi...the same incident happened with us today itself. We received the same packet with some irrelevant booklets in it. We thought that this was some communication from MCA, but on opening the packet and confirming with our CA, we came to know about this fraud. We also went to post office to try to stop them from sending the money which they received from us on behalf of the VPP of Rs.1943, but all in vain. On talking with the Post Office team we were suspicious that they might also be involved in this activity. We have traced down the office of Surya Publications in Green Bouleward, Tower-C, 5th Floor, Sector-62, Noida. On reaching the office we came to know that he just own a virtual office space there. The owner of Surya Publications is Kunal Aggarwal an his email id is [protected]@gmail.com [these details were furnished by the business center where the virtual space is located]. By looking at the email id anyone can say that these are also fraud. If you guys are interested we can collectively lodge a complaint regarding this fraud which is happening since 2011. Anyhow we are going to place a complaint regarding this on PMO website as well as with Police Department.

Same thing happened with me last week and we are poorer by Rs.998/-. My mom collected the packet from the postman when I was not at home. I work in Noida so walked into their address (Surya Publications in Green Bouleward, Tower-C, 5th Floor, Sector-62, Noida) only to find that all the details given out there is fake and neither any real person or any real company exists with that name, rather the company's name and address changes quite often. They have also terminated their agreement from this place and the name I got this time was Sumit Chawla.

The return address on the envelope was Plot 64 (Ground Floor), Surya Nagar, BBSR - 751003. I checked and figured out this address to be fake as well. Nonetheless, I checked with the cops (my elder brother's friend), but they were of no help either as after checking the packet, he suggested that I have paid and received the package even after the contents and details were mentioned on it. According to him, I should have declined to receive the package. Guess the best way to save ourselves from being a victim is to not to accept anything which hasn't been ordered. Lets at the least spread the word and save others.

To day I also received a call from home regarding a parcel on VPP Costing Ra's. 1000/- I was told that parcel contains three small books. I had never ordered for any such books.
I immediately disowned the parcel. Thanks to the post I read earlier.
I case I would not have been on phone the amount would have been collected by the post man.
