[Resolved]  Maruti Swift Dzire — delay in delivery

I have also booked a Desire last 45days despite speaing with the dealer there is no response a standard answer is given wait till the 5th or wait till 20th as these are the Maruti delivery dates.

Ther is no system of coming to know how long will it take or does Maruti want to sell Desire or not.

I booked the Swift Dzire by 2nd July 2009 with the dealer BIMAL at Bangalore (paid Rs. 50,000 as booking amount). During booking, they committed to deliver the car by 31st July 2009. It's 2 months over, still now they are not able to give me the expected date of delivery. I sent out 2 mails to the dealer and did not get response. I really don't understand whether the delay is from Manufacturers or it's the delay from the Dealers?

I booked my car on 3rd August, 2009 from Deware's Topsia, kolkata and they confirm the date as 12th September. Now they are unable to give a confirmed date to deliver the car. So disgusting.. Nobody mainly no body is there in india to give a fix in the system..

i am facing the same problem ,i have booked Dzire VXI in july,Dealer (fortpoint Mumbai)told me that it will take 45 day for car Delivery.On 4th of sept.i got a call from Fort point that i have been alloted the car and it will take 4-5 days to reach the CAR in mumbai.I have taken loan and deposited the money to fort point but still i do not have clue about My car ,14 days back they told me that it will take 2 weeks for delivery of my car,today i contacted them but dealer is not having any information about my car.I am really frustrated with fort point.

Dear Sir, I had booked Sift Dzire VDI model on 06 Oct 2009 with M/s Sai services at Vasco da gama outlet at Goa, since they said that I may get the car with in a month time, with this regard I had spoken to their General Manager also ( Mr Sanjay wale ), he was very positive while speaking, were as today they said, it is doubtful to deliver the car with in a month time as they get less delivery from the company due to various reason, Sir I am already the owner of the one your product ( Maruti alto car), I am very much pleased & happy with your product performance, that is reason I had opted a another car of higher version of your product during my auspicious occasion ( Daughter marriage), even though many other brand of cars are easily available in the market with out booking, Sir kindly requested that you may take necessary action with in your capacity to deliver a sift Dzire VDI model, white or silky silver color, before 05 Nov 2009, as my daughter marriage is fixed on 07 Nov 2009.

I even wrote to the managing director of Maruti, but still did not receive any reply.. At the rate at which Maruti is treating its customers, I think its only a matter of time before they loose their market leader status. Maruti has become very arrogant and does not care for its customers...

BTW, has anyone got any freebies on swift dzire.. the dealer is refusing to give anything free..

sorry my dear. it may takeatleat 3 months for VDI and minimum 7 months for ZDI

Thats true Raja Mohamed, i too booked maruti swift on Jan 07 2010 from Popular Motors, chennai. they said they dont provide any discount from their side other then the corporate discount or any other offer or any free accessories, finally they said they will reduce the delivery period from 2 month to 1 month.

While booking i asked budget going to come and will it affect the price, the sales guy over there said everything is done and nothing is going to change. So i booked the vehicle after paying the advance.

After one month when i called them they said the car is not lifted yet so it will take time. he said he if call and inform when it is lifted, finally on feb 15 2010 he called said the car has been lifted and you need to pay extra 10000 as there are changes in price of car after budget.

When i asked you said it will not affect the price of car and delivery will be made in one month, at that time i was in extreme shock when he simply said i dint say so.

I called sales guy senior and his manager (srinath was the guy who attended us first and kannan was his senior and rajkumar was manager for them) they all said they dint say so. All of them are in same branch they all made fool o[censored]s.

So guys if any one plans to buy car from Popular Motors, chennai ask them to give every details in witting and if they fail to do so run from their shop as far as possible...


I trusted in maruti, their product and their people but dint expect this from them. i am not saying all guys in maruti are bad but their are few frauds spoiling name of maruti. I just trusted swift car but started losing hope.

this is suresh i booked my car on 25 april 2011 from popular vechicle and services
in chennai, they confirmed day 30 to40 days but they are unable to give a confirmed date to deliver the car iam paid 3, 75000, and i took special no that amount also iam paid 8000rs i need very urgent please take care for delivery

For any delays in delivery of vehicles, PLEASE CONTACT THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER DIRECTLY. For example, if your Maruti car has not been delivered as promised by the local dealer, go to Maruti Suzuki website and get the contact details and call them up. If Maruti has a local office where you live, you visit that office and meet the concerned officer.

I have booked Maruti Dzaire Zxi PLUS AGS AMT (Pearl White) on 01 Apr 2021 with Popular Automobiles, Balaramapuram by paying Rs 5, 000. I was assured that the vehicle will be delivered within 3 months and later changed to 14-16 weeks. To date, my booked vehicle is not delivered and the staff of popular is clueless to give a reply regarding the delivery of the vehicle..But, they canvass bookings from the customers without informing the correct status of delivery and in turn cheating them by accepting the booking amount without paying any interest on the boked amount. Can't the Central Govt intervene on this matter so as to bring about some transparency or solace to those customers waiting high and dry. I did not receive a reply to my complaint on 17 Jul 2021to Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has no reply to date. To date, these companies have received a colossal amount in the way of bookings and not paying any interest to the hapless customers. When I will receive my favorite vehicle God only knows..I shall lodges the complaint ot Hon PMs portal..
