[Resolved]  MCD Parking — illegal charges of parking by attendants

THIS IS A REGULAR PRACTICE BY THE PARKING ATTENDANT IN EVERY PART OF DELHI, I NORMALLY VISITED PVR SONIA IN VIKASPURI, AND PARKED MY TWO WHEELER, AND ALL THE TIME I HAVE TO PAY RS. 7/- INSTEAD OF RS.5/- FOR EVEN USE PARKING FOR TWO HOURS ONLY. IF I REFUSE TO PAY RS.7/-, THEN ATTANDENTS COME TO FIGHT WITH US.
I JUST WANT TO ASK MCD OFFICIALS WHY DONT THEY PUT THEIR INFORMATION SIGN BOARDS FOR THE PARKING CHARGES FOR TWO & FOUR WHEELERS.

I too have been a victim of parking mess!! There's no clarity on hours when parking charges are applicable... neither is there any fixed rate for full days parking... to each his own seems to be the mantra... Parking attendants misbehave when you refuse to pay unjustified charges. In some places, if you are coming for a movie, the mcd parking guys charge double the amount when there's no official communique on that. Request the government to please look into this and lend some credibility and system to parking charges.

In the evening when I go down in the parking I found my helmet had lost and my scotter also damage when I call the parking guard he told me he had no idea about this and he can do nothing about this and I have to care lots of vechils .
He also misbehave with me by saying I see lots of people everday llike you.
Please take some hard actions regarding my complants.

I am staying in D.D.A. Flats Madangir, opp. Pushp Vihar, New Delhi -110062 from last 25 yrs. Earlier we are using our lane corridor for parking. After making BRT corridor we do not have a space of parking. From last two years we are using service lane of pushp vihar of parking. But now from last one month some Ashima contractor hangs a board on the site (MCD Authorised paring) and charging for 500 to 800 per month person to person. First, if this is service lane how can MCD open tender for service lane and if happened then why he is charging commercial rate on residential. Please help me out.
I appreciate if you give me positive and soon reply and let me know is that authorized parking if no, then what action we can take or yes so please control on charges Max. 300 per month are Ok with us.

Sub:- Regarding complaint against the running of illegal parking in front and back side of the cross river mall Karkardooma, Shahdara, Delhi, by the gunda elements on the DDA roads.

Dear Sir,

That on 21.09.09 we have visited the cross river mall Karkardooma Delhi and have park the vehicle in front of the main gate of the cross river mall.
That on the parking of vehicle some persons came to us for collecting the charges of the parking of vehicle. We have seen some board on both side of the road affixed by the DDA, Delhi on that the concerned authority i.e. DDA written on that boards this road is concern to DDA and there is no authorized parking and if the vehicle park on the road the same will be lifted. We have asked about this to these persons and demanded to show their approved parking licenses of that side but they said that the same was in the name of some person ch. Ranbir singh living at mauj pur and who is the contractor of the said parking and the license is lying with him.
That more over the persons are illegally collecting parking charges from the public who park their vehicle on the road by making foul by holing the banner on the road that this parking is authorized by the M.C.D.
We opposed that to give the illegal unauthorized parking charges as the same was illegal than they used abusive language and forcibly collect the parking charges Rs. 10/-without giving the parking receipt. They further threat us if we will make any complaint to any authority than we will have to face dire consequences to the extent of death. They further told that local police of Anand Vihar police station is with us and they will not take any action against us.

It is therefore requested that kindly take the appropriate actions against the guilty persons for collecting the unauthorized parking charges in front and back side of the cross river mall Karkardooma Shahdara Delhi as per the DDA holdings and forcibly collecting the parking charges and cheating the public for putting holding on which written the parking was authorized by the MCD in the interest of justice.

MCD — Illegal Parking Charges

Parking Charges in delhi are almost the same even in Karol Bagh..
Parking Charge according to the receipt is Rs.10 per entry. But in actual its not the case.
All the vendors are charging atleast Rs.30, specially on weekends. And its very open in the market.
When somebody say that they will complain against them, they dont have any problem, instead they say everybody know. So it means officials of MCD are very well aware about this.
So i think the strict action should be taken aginst the Parking vendors in Karol Bagh.

I have had many similar experiences and most recently at Bhikaji Cama Place. They are charging Rs 20 irrespective of whether you park for 5 mins / 1 hr / 4 hrs. This is gross violation of MCD parking charges and urgent steps need to be taken by the authorities to revoke the license of these parking mafia. I urge the local MLAs to step up and protect the rights of ordinary citizens who have elected them. This illegal extortion from common people should be stopped immediately and strict action taken against the parking contractor.

Dear Sir,

I have park my bike in the back side of someone residence in defence colony.

Some persons came to me for collecting the charges of the parking of vehicle and show me one hang board in streetlight pillor(MCD Authorised paring) and charging for 10 Rs.

How MCD can approved any residence back side for parking licenses.

Plaese take hard action regarding my complain & can some one plz mail me the complaint number and what action will take the for solve to stoping cheating to public .

it is very shameful the parking situation in Janakpuri District centre, today i got into a fight with the parking attendant because he wanted to charge me just for entering the office complex & unloading some goods from my car.
its one of those things which makes me as an Indian ashamed to live in this country

Please check the parking lots at Bhikaji Cama Place . These people are asking for extra money apart from monthly parking charges for there personal needs as and when according to their mood .

In our lane people dont have to manners for parking the two and four vehicles.They park always on the road.

Due to small size of road in fromt of our home we always face traffic jam.

When we request to vehicles owner they ready for flight and never move the vehicles.

We are the owner of shops in karkardooma community centre, delhi-92 opposite of hargobind enclave and dayanand vihar. Here is also a parking gang, who is showing boards on all side of the complex that this is D.D.A. Authorised parking. They are charging Rs.10/- for car and Rs. 5/- for scootar but before the enterence of any vehicle from the gate. Many times, many people told them to show your licence and the map of your parking area, they told that these are with the contractor of parking area. Last 15 days back, D.D.A. removed these boards and mention there that FREE PARKING HERE, but after two days they (parking contractor) install these hordings again that this is D.D.A. authorised parking.
Sir, how do we know that whether these are authorised or not and upto which area they have alotted for parking and upto how many cars/scootars they can. If any body ignore to pay the parking charges, they shouted and thretend to the vehicle owner, because there are atleast 10-12 people of parking contractor. We request to you kindly take some action and help us.

You can sum up all this with the fact that there is parking mafia in Delhi whihc is running in collaboration with the Government.

My Name is Vikas Sharma and I am working in Green Park Main, here parking boys do same like the above people said. They people refuse to park my car in the parking and said we are giving Rs 150 for one car you cannot afford the parking charges so park you vehicle somewhere else. I am shocked I complaint in the MCD and they people said kindly talk to his manager he will help you out and when I talked to manager the response is same. I have no other option to pay him Rs 150 for that parking. In Green park main one side is reserved for Resident only but there also Traffic police people fined of Rs 100 and when we argue with him they start toeing the Car. I dont know what should I do... Kindly higher authorities look this matter.

there is no map online where we can verify which parking authorized.. Jwala heri parking has been extended to residential parking. residents having problem in this.+ there is many places where there was no parking in past and suddenly a board comes up with MCd authorized parking and that land is used as parking space. what should be done

MCD — Parking Fees

The parking attendants at Central Market, Lajpat Nagar have been charging Rs. 20 for parking as opposed to Rs. 10, which is the standard parking fees. They have even manipulated the parking tickets to show that the fare is Rs. 20 and not Rs. 10.

This complaint is regarding the MCD authorised parking attendants atBHIKAJI CAMA PALACE. I am am employee of EESLand my office is in NBCC Tower. i park my car in the office parking mostly but sometimes when the parking is full there i have to park my car at the MCD parking and the attendant at the MCD parking area charges Rs. 20 for the parking, but the actual rates as written on the parking slip and mentioned on a board there by MCD is Rs. 10. And if you refuse to give Rs. 20 he dont let you park your car.

I request the concerned authorities to look into the matter
