Morepen Labs — Non Payment of Fixed Deposit

1) FD receipt no. BOMRQ 11075 dtd 22/11/01 for Rs. 10,000/- maturity date on 18/09/04
2) FD receipt no. BOMRQ 12072 dtd 19/12/01 for Rs. 10,000/- maturity date on 31/10/04

Despite repeated written reminders to their Delhi office they have not refunded the FD amount.

Refer to the below Fixed Deposit held with Morepen Laboratories Limited which has already got matured but we are yet to get the proceeds even after a wait of 3 years: Name of the Investor: Kiran Jain FDR No: CALDX00721N Amount Invested: Rs33000.00 Due Date: 26.08.2005 with a maturity amount of Rs 46, 369.00 Communication Address: C/o S R Textiles, 547 G T Road (S), 3 rd Floor, Howrah 711 101 The discharged Fixed Deposit Receipt was dispatched through Maruti Couriers vide POD 724669 dated 15.10.2005. We have followed up earlier also on many occasions including telephonic conversation with Mr Anil but are yet to get the proceeds, neither we have received any communication from them. Its more than 2.5 years but we are yet to receive the proceeds. We are in dire need of funds. We seek an immediate refund of the maturity value..

Further the complaint on the Investor Helpline hosted by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, vide complaint number I 851I1710-AHH dated 01 May 08 is yet to provide any results.

NON PAYMENT OF 3 (Three) FIXED DEPOSITS NOS: DL2RQ08011 amounting Rs.15000 Due on 24/03/2003 in the name of Niranjan R. Gandhi, (Age75Years), DL2RQ07645 amounting Rs.15000 Due on 04/03/2003 in the name of Chandrika N. Gandhi (Age 72 years) DL2RQ07644 amounting Rs.15000Due on 04/03/2003 in the name of Manish Gandhi.

We have been following up with the company so long and my father is not well for last 3 years I request the forum to intervene and get us the amount along with the up to date interest

I had invested Rs.10, 000/- in the name of my minor daughter Ms. Neelam V. Vazirani with myself as the 2nd Name, vide FDR # BOMDX11901 with complete "TRUST" in your Co. This FDR had matured on 11.12.2004 but I still have to receive the Maturity amount of Rs.14, 051/-.

Sub: Non Payment of Interest on Fixed Deposit for the past One Year-
FD No.CHE RQ00351N, Dt.15.03.03- Matured on 13.12.2004.
Repayment of the F.D. accrued interest.- Requested

I had deposited a sum of 25, 000/- with your company as fixed deposit @ 10% interest for 2 years from 13.12.2002 to 12.12.2004. Ever since I deposited the FD, I did not get even single interest till date. I surrendered my deposit receipt on maturity for repayment vide my letter dated 23.11.2004.

As per the company law board orders you are expected to refund me back the full amount or in 4 installments starting from 13.12.2005. You had sent the entire principle amount of Rs.25, 000/-back as on today. However, the interest amount payable has not been paid back to me. But as per Company law board directions you have to pay the interest accrued all along, together with the last installment. But the same has not been paid till date leading to contempt of court. I am giving the worksheet (as per the enclosure) indicating the amount of interest liable to be paid to me. The amount liable to be paid works out to be Rs.9984/-

Hence an amount of Rs.9984/- is due by way of interest is required to be paid by the Company immediately as it is already over due.. I had already sent 2 Mails in this regard which has evoked no response. Hence I am lodging my dues by this registered letter. In case no reply is forthcoming from you for this I will be constrained to take up the matter with the Govt., /Company law board for final orders and with costs.
An early action in this regard is requested.

Morepen Laboratories Ltd — Non repayment of fixed deposit

I had placed 2 fixed deposits of Rs.20000/- each. The deposits matured on[protected]. We had sent the original deposit receipts to the company for prepayment in[protected] when the company defaulted on the interest.

We have not received the repayment till date or the interest due from 1-1-2003 to 5-2-2005.

Company has mentioned in the quarterly financial accounts that new scheme for payment to FD holders has been put to Hon. High Court. Company should inform the FD holders their intention regarding payment of hard earned money and invested in FD with Morepen.

Sub:- NON RECEIPT OF NEITHER PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOR INTEREST OF FIXED DEPOSIT SINCE FIVE YEARS

I had kept Fixed Deposit with Morepen Laboratories Ltd of Rs. 40,000/- My FDR No. is BNGRQ 00013 Dated 01.04.2002 and Maturity Date is 15.02.2005.


I had not received my interest from[protected] and Principal amount from due date 15.02.2005 Now almost five years have passed.

I request you to please help me in getting my Rs. 40,000/- along with interest till date I am in urgent need of money. So kindly help me in hour of need.

Morepen Laboratories Ltd is totally a fraud company. They run their company successfully but they will not agree to pay the F/D amount to the holder. Our Govt should take hard action about them.

Already there are two more complaints against Morepan Laboratories Ltd. & I know few more persons also whose FD amounts are stuck with Morepan Laboratories.
Seems to be that Company has regular practice of cheating the investors. Pl do something so that the investors get their hardened money back.

Morepen Laboratories Limited — Non receipt of FDR amount

Hi Team,

I Datta Mehta a senior Citizen (Female - 63) had invested in the Morepen Lab FDR scheme. The Reference # for the FDR is CALDX05676 for a principal amount of Rs. 10, 000. Which was to mature on 20/11/2003.

When this amount was matured we received one communication from the Co. that the payment would be delayed and will be paid in few installments. However when we did not receive any payments from the Co. we did send few reminders to the Company to pay out the amount. We even approached the Co at New Delhi in person in 2004 to try and see if we could get the amount back. Disappointingly I received a normal response that they are working on it and would be trying to pay the amount ASAP.

However till date have not received any payment or Communication to this effect.

Would request to help me to get this amount back. Please let me know if I need to approach any other department to get my hard earned money back.

Morepen Laboratories Ltd — Non Refund of FDR amount

A sum of Rs.Twentyfive thousand only was deposited vide FDR.BNGRQ00054 Dated16thApril,2002 with I was her Morepan Laboratories Ltd New Delhi.for a period of one year.a cheque for Rs.680. towards intrest issued by the Co. was returned by the Bank twice.We wrote several letters from time to time not a single reply was ever received.
In April.2003 we were asked to submit an Application for Hardship cases,for people suffering ill health,this application was duly received & acknowledged by Moropan Laboratories Delhi Office,that was all no further action was taken.
On 25th August,2003 investors were sent a letter by The Chairman & Managing Director. stating the Company would pay back all depositers,within 4 years from the date of Maturity.This was the last we ever
heard from him.Not a penny has ever been paid back.
My wife passed away on 1st April,2006. I wrote to them on May 18th and sent a copy of the death certificate at the same time informing them that I was her Legal heir.That was my last communication with the Company.D.M.Pallonji. Mob.[protected]
