[Resolved]  Passport Office, Hyderabad — Tatkal Appointment Dates

I have applied for additional booklet on February 11, 2010. My file number is: R 001288.

Until now I have not received my passport. I need to leave on an international trip extremely urgently. Therefore, I rewquest your kindself to issue my additional booklet at an early date.

I disagree about the Foul play bit. The passport office gives out hundreds of appointment daily, and that's done only online. If you can't get one, contact a travel agent and they'll easily do it for you. The brokers outside the passport office can't do anything about that, it's all done online. Contact a reputed travel agent near your area.

Why should we get an agent when online system is available...I agree its completely a foul play bit...i have been trying 4 a week and still no appointment dates and worse of all, no one picks up the phone call tooo..and there is no reply to sms too...waste and useless passport office...

online passport application under tatkal — how to get the application date of passport

from a very long time , i am applying for the date of passport online rgistration , but it is showing that there is no dates available and you should contact passport office, and when i am contacting passport office there is no response , what is this, what are the services given by the govt , i am in need o[censored]rgent passport thats why i want to apply in tatkal , but thee is no proper procedure , please help me .

Hi All,

I have applied for passport in Tatkal in just 3 days at Hyderabad. The best way forward to obtain a Tatkal Slot is as below.

A limited number of Tatkal slots open up everyday, any time after 01.00PM. Hence, you have to keep on refreshing the page from 01.00PM to 05.00PM for a couple of days. In general, the slots get completed in just 2 min from the time the server is open.

Alternate way is to contact a travel agent / Passport Agent who generally does the same job mentioned above by trying on a high speed internet.

Hell with the 2 mins slot!!

I agree there may be limited number of appointments a day ...may be few hundreds or lesser for a single city...

But the point is..how in the world all the slots get booked in just two mins..
that means 120 sec.. if i flip my eye lids for about 40 times..the slots are gone is it...what the hell...

So, the best way to get a slot if this is the case...then...one needs to just wait for 1 o clock bell ring...and try for 3 or 4 mins and then leave it if doesn't hit.!

Why anyway refresh is required...the page after filling file no and date of birth will reset everything or clear all fields after an attempt to get a slot fails...!
So, there is no need of clicking 'refresh' button..!

We feel shy to say that, already faced these problems. The brokers have tie up with PPoffice, they will let them know when they are releasing the appointments...etc
Even though if you get the appointment, you may not( I can say you are not going) get your passport in time.
Even if you do all the formalities PPoffice will show some reasons, they will tell you to resubmitt fresh application, even if you submit also they won't process, you have to meet enquiry pepople 3 times then Deputy PP officer 3 times, they will tell you this time it will come because you have submitted all documents needed but they won't issue, they are not going to tell you the way out to get in different way also. You have to find politicians, call them, take appointment, meet the passport officer, pay some fee without reciept in the office(Bribe), then you are set. You can not do anything more if you go against them then it will be more difficult for our career, life.
They don't care what is your need, urgency, importance of time for the passport. I don't know what they will do with the extra money coming from suffering people, they definitely has to pay for these sinful acts.
This has to change and am sure it will change soon.

Everybody this is shaan from secunderabad heard from you people but it is not so difficult to find a slot if you need a slot just be on system from between 1.00pm to 5.00pm you will get a slot, but you have to refresh the page if you still doesnt gets that please contact me my mob num is [protected].

I am also having the same problem. I want to apply for a tatkal scheme but the site is not showing any appointment dates in the dates drop down. I am also on the system and refreshing the page every minute since 1pm but still no dates.. is it the only way to get an appointment as i need a passport urgently

Passport Office, Hyderabad — not received passport till date

Dear sir,
I applied for renewal of passport,date of submission shown on internet passport enquiry status is on 9-5-2010.Till date the final statement i.e.Status shown on internet is "Police report is clear and about to get despatched by 4.8.2010 provided all the documents are in order ".The same statement was shown from 28.7.2010 on internet.Please tell me when will i get my passport.

Passport Office, Hyderabad — Non Availability of Toilets

Passport office-Hyderabad do not have public Toilets inside that big complex....I doubt on the availability of the drinking water too...I took water from my residence,but i can't take the toilet no???

I feel this is a mininum requirement for any Public Office / Govt.Office

Once a person goes inside the "Q"...it will be a tough time...

Passport Office, Hyderabad — wrong printing of names

For applying a passport it costs me 1200/- rupees and for correcting my name in my passport it costs me more than 2000/- rupees. This all due to mistake by passport office persons.I have applied my passport from Tirupati, they have printed my name wrong in my wife's passport,. For this i have to go hyderabad for correction.
