[Resolved]  SBI CREDIT CARD PRIVILEGE CIRCLE ofFER — New way of cheating by SBI CARD

The bank has been launching new offers, schemes off lately & must say some of them are pretty good one.

It is a very reputed bank & they are offering such nice offers for us & i enjoy all this benefits. In real words these are nice offers.

I too had a bad experience with SBI on this. They initially said its transferrable to anyone(friends and relatives) so i accepted the offer but later they said its not so. Also, they have lots of hidden factors like some exception months for every location, need to plan/book well in advance, the flight ticket also not transferrable etc...
I talked to customer care to cancel but they said its not possible to cancel the program at all. I really dont know whether to plan for the trip. Not sure what all i will be facing there

It was a great pleasure while taking the SBI privilege circle program. I enjoyed each & every single offer.

I used to get continuous calls from the call centers of these credit cards.. The sales guy used to force to take the products but i was never interested. One day i got call for the privilege circle from SBI.. SBI being a trusted name i took the offer & I am glad that this time i didnt refuse for offers.
Not only i got extra points on my card but also a wonderful holiday package. Looking for more such offers in future.

Its my luck i beleive, that whenever i took such program or offer, I never got any chance to regert about it.. I always get through the call centre numbers easily & get the require information from them well in time. Seems there are alot of customers who want to avai the benefits of privilege circle program from SBI & Plat5, thats why there are so many complaints about it... If we see it otherwise complaints mean they are doing something!!!

Yes there may be some problems they don't give any specification about travelling charges in brosers and not in site they are very unresponsible to give proper information.

In September 2008 I got call from plat5 on behalf of SBI cards. They said I have been selected for Privilege circle program and convinced me to accept this offer. They promised me whatever told to me will be delivered within 25 days of registration. I trusted them because they assured me this offer is from SBI. After one week I realized that I have been traped by plat5. I contacted them to cancel my membership, they denied it by saying that it cannot be cancelled, though according to term and conditions I could cancel offer if I told them before making payment to SBI cards. I haven't received anything from them and helpline numbers never connect. No reponse to email either. SBI CARD have no information about this offer only interested in customers debited amount and recovery and charging kate fees, interests.Could somebody please tell me how can I take legal action against SBI cards and plat5 consulatancy.

Quite surprising that so many people are doubting the credibility of a bank like SBI.. I am a member of the bank for very long time & I have received many calls for such programs & offers..

Its obviously my wish whether or not i should take these offers.. The bank never forced me to take it but here its appearing that people were forced to take the program & they are complaining about it now..

I don't think any service provider can force any of its customers to take any thing without their consent..I took the offer only when i was convinced that i need the benefits & would avail them.

Don't want to pin point anybody here but yes would like to say, if the bank doesn't know about the offer & its customers are receiving the calls (as mentioned above) then bank must keep a check on this.. If bank has tied up with any company it should be conveyed to the employees that we have an associtaion with so & so..in this case it is some Plat5..

I personally being the one who has avalied these offers can say that plat5 is not that bad a service provider.. they assisted in the possible way they can..Rest it is both the companies who has to see how it is going on!!!

SBI Credit Card — SBI Credit Card Privilege Circle offer

As per this offer they Provide Hotel reservation for 3N2D, as per the destination provided by us.

Till date, i.e. 02-Aug-10, I have already provided them 20 different dates for hotel booking, still they have not provided me Hotel reservation.

This is the way of cheating, by taking money in Advance & not providing any Hotel booking.

I have already mailed them several times, even to the SBI credit card grievance cell, but still I have not received any satisfactory response.

KINDLY HELP IN GETTING NY MONEY BACK

Recently, I too had a very bad experience with SBI on this.

One more thing i noticed that THEY ARE ALSO DOING MODIFY PHONE CONVERSATION. cutting the recording when i told that i will not pay any amount for this OFFER.

I now when requesting to cancel this offer after detect of rupees 6067.00. agent totally reject my request.
saying this is not possible now.

Then after resection of cancellation i called this no.[protected]this is another help number)
THIS NUMBER WILL DEFINITELY HELP . person on this no. is saying that call then again on [protected] and tell then again to cancel and told him that u discussed on this no.

Now they are saying they have cancel my priviage circle offer and you will get your money in your account within 1 week.

ABSOLUTELY CHEATER BE AWARE AND DO'T ATTAIN THIS TYPE CALL. I suggest start abusing them if you get this type offer calls form sbi -:)

I also agree to the above complaints. I had also fallen for their false promises. I have now sent my choices of dates and hotels. But there is absolutely no communication from SBI side. When I call up Customer care, the voice on the phone is so lehthargic and unfriendly that you curse yourself to have taken this offer. I called up 15 days back to check on my booking status, I was promised that you would receive a mail. But no response. When called after 15 days, I get new date. Now, I am waiting again. I am not hopeful to get any reply. And think that my money is wasted. My advice to all who are reading this not to waste your money on this offer.

IF sbi card holderS given this kind of privileges, to make the payments of the bills subject to availability of funds with cardholders, india beggers problems can be solved.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE COMPLAINTS WHICH PEOPLE HERE ARE SAYING.

I Became the part of this circle program in May 2010. I paid Rs.6070. Then thru some website I got to this website. After reading so many complaints, initially I got scared and start thinking negative about this. First of all Let me tell you the offering made by SBI and/or Plat5 executive.

1) A Polo Watch worth of Rs 5000/-
2) Holiday Voucher for 2N/3D
3) A Free* Air Ticket (* only base Airfare is free)

I got the KIT within 15Days of Calls/confirmation Calls, which had a Polo Watch. A Travel Holiday Voucher and A Air Ticket Voucher. I found that Polo watch was worth of Rs. 1500/-. Then I started beliving that complaints are true. But in August I applied for Holiday Voucher. I followed it up. I MUST SAY AT EVERYSTEP OF THIS ENTIRE PROCEDURE WAS TRANSPARENT. CALL CENTER NUMBERS WERE WORKING AND REPLIED ALL MY QUERY TO MY SATISFACTION. I knew the status of voucher at everystep. I had appied 3 different location and 3 different dates. Locations were GOA, JAIPUR UDAIPUR. Dates were 20th Sept, 24th Sept and 30th Sept. Contact Nos given on the Kit was of Plat5. They gave me the Heritage Holidays Pvt Ltd Contact nos who was handling the Travel Vouchers. They were very polite and supporty.

Finally I visited GOA with my family between 24th Sept to 28th Sept.. It was very enjoyable and found that the rate at that hotel were Rs. 2000/- for one night. 2 Nights were free for me. so it comes as Rs.4000/-. I extend my stay for 2 more days. Believe me It was very nice and sweet stay.

So Far I have utilized to gifts from this SBI Previledge Circle. Polo Watch 1500 + 4000 hotel stay. I have utilized 5500 out of 6070 paid for the same. I will use the Air Ticket Voucher in near future.

At the end I dont know why people are saying its not a good offer or its a fraud. At the frontdesk of Goa hotel I found that many member of this previledge circle have come to this hotel. By the way Hotel name is Pheonix Park Inn Resort. You can check the photos and star rating on Web. on TripAdvisor.com I have put my expreiences and Photos. by the name GlobeTrakker_India.

I can suggest people to Listen and Undertand when somebody offers a deal to you. also dont expect the sky and moon out of it. Just be realistic. Dont expect that someone can give you watch worth of Rs.10000 plus holiday plus free Air Ticket. IF CALL CENTER EXECUTIVE SAYS THAT PLEASE CLARIFY THERE AND THEN.

SBI Card — Cheating Through SBI card Privilege package

SBI Card ahs introduced a new offer under SBI Card Privilege Circle Program.
Experts from SBI card make call to the card users and explains about the schemes. I also received a call, during phone the offer was looking good enough and thus I accepted. Under this offer they raise a bill Rs 6067 from in SBI casrd account just only after acceptance on phone.
There was no written communication and when I received the offer by courier, I noticed iot os no use for me.
I made calls to the customer service nos, but these people have not accepted by request for cancellation. I have also sent 2 mails, but there is no response.

Please help me in cancellation of this offer, I will pay the cancellation charges.

I am not surprized to find so many complains here. This is a new way of cheating people charging their SBI card in the name of world travel destination. I took the offer in 2010, submitted my travel destination choices and received no response till date. These are just bad names in Indian travel buisness.
