[Resolved]  Sbi Credit Card - Privilege Circle Offer — SBI Credit Card - Privilege Circle offer cheating

Dear Friends,

I have got a call in September from a company referring themselves from SBI and they told me that I have been selected for an offer called "Privilege Circle Program" from SBI. As I was busy with my work at office and as I was gettig disturbed by this call two to three times, I have given my confirmation to them as I didn't listen about the payment of Rs. 6180. As soon as I checked the transaction on my credit card, I have been contacting them to cancel this offer. When I got the call from the verification department before sending me the Welcome Kit, I have told me clearly not to send the Welcome Kit as am not interested and hence as of now I didn't receive the welcome kit as well. As of now the issue is not resolved and now they are saying that the Welocme Kit is also sent to me and they got the acknowledgement saying that I have received it hence they cannot cancel the offer. But the surprising thing is that I have not received the welcome kit till today. I spoke to executives like Shilpi, Sudha and today with Karan and even I have discussed long time with Saurav (Supervisor) also. I have been requesting them to show me the recording proofs atelast but as of now I didnt get the reply. I really got frustated and I have decided to fight against them leagelly. Can anyone tell me how to proceed further leagelly??

I came to know that there are lot of members like me who are suffering with this offer and I would like to request other card holders to be careful with SBI card and it's offerings henceforth.

Please help me in this regard.

i'm also suffering from the same porblem, but i got welcome kit, wrist watch also i received which is not been working, terms and conditions also abnormal than what they said on call. That is better to cancel the card
I too have same problem. The welcome kit is delivered to my neighbour. I didn still open the kit. I didn get any reply to my written email complaint.In my last email i told them that i will payoff the remaining other outstanding and will not pay for privilage circle program.

I'm gonna leave it unpaid.
I was also getting repeated phone calls and today morning as I was totally busy I have given my consent. When I opened the web site in the afternoon I have seen the hardships faced by other card members. Immediately I have spoken to the office from where I have got the call and also their chennai telephone number and they said they cannot cancel the booking and once it is confirmed the amount will be debited to the account and told me to contact their customer care office. I spoke to Ms.Lalitha and she says to contact them once the amount is debited and they will cancel it after deducting a cancellation charge of Rs.1000/-. It is highly ridiculous and cheating by SBI.
"Privilege Circle offer" .Around Feb end 09 i got a call from a guy, he said that he is calling on be-half of SBI credit cards and i have been chosen for this offer. I didn't agreed for it since my card got expired on Dec 08 i was waiting for new cards, mean while i checked the information regarding the offer online i saw it can be canceled with some charges, since i was planning for vacation in hurry i didn't gone through the entire details terms & conditions.I thought since it is from SBI it must be a good.I received my card and then same call on March i agreed for the offer and i gave them my new address.I didn't get leave and was supposed to travel on site the following week.I called this number [protected]/52 which they gave after accepting the offer, i asked them to cancel the offer that lady told it can't be canceled i have to accept it.I got very angry i shouted at her if it can't be canceled then why they have not updated the same in online.Then i thought fight for this and go till consumer court if required.
For collecting some evidence, again i gone through the entire details including terms & conditions.The offer is just bull .My eyes caught this line
"cancellation of the offer can be done within 30 days of the date of booking on returning the untempered welcome kit" one more thing is this offer is not directly from SBI it is from a 3rd Party called Plat5 .I checked with SBI customer care guys from Chennai he told that it can be canceled but they are going to charge me 1000/- Rs as cancellation fee i asked him to put the cancellation request and go through the fee structure again which is 399 After that i got a call from PLAT5, a guy KARAN told me that it can't be canceled since the policy reflecting in online been changed on 19th and i have accepted the offer on 20th, i checked to which address they have sent the kit .They sent it to my old address i requested him to cancel the offer since they have sent it to wrong address, he rejected again .I called customer care immediately they again assured it can be canceled and wait for 48hrs i wanted this to be solved before they generate my next bill on 7th every month.I wrote a mail on 23th to [protected]@plat5.com no reply for 2 days then on 25th mailed to [protected]@plat5.com cc feedback.[protected]@ge.com and head.[protected]@ge.com there was no reply or call .On 26th i called to SBI customer care she said my request is being processed they will call me in 48hrs.On 28th of march finally SBI called and informed they have canceled the request and credited the amount 6100/- RS thanks to them.

So be careful before accepting any offers from 3rd parties.The same PLAT5 is tied up with many banks.Also don't forget to record all conversations with any bank people.

Even I am facing the same problem . According to me SBI card is the worst among all the cards in market today. Same call and after some time when i approached them they said the scheme is expired. Please tell me also what are u guys planning to do. I will do the same thing. i have made the payment already. If there is any leagal procedure please let me know. I asked them if i can come to the office and talk personally for that too they say its against the policy. Please let me know is anyone from chennai facing the same problem.

Privilege Circle Offers — Cheating

I got a telephone call about Privilege Circle Offers from some agent and she informed me about the offer in very limited sentences at 18 .20 hrs on dated 18/11/2009 with promise that they will be contacted with in two /three days for further details. But at 18.29hrs on dated 18/11/2009, they again phoned and insisted to press the one digit. They got success and trapped me. I want to say that I don’t want this offer. Please do not accept the request as well as not to dispatch the offer vouchers. I will not be paid any amount against this offer. T

I am facing the same problem .Same call and after some time when I approached them they said the scheme date is expired. Now I have paid all the money that becomes wastage of my money. My voucher number is 6629811.

Please let me know is anyone facing the same problem and can help me to recover the loosed money. Now I am planning to close SBI CARD due to such type of loosed which cannot be bearable.

I WANT CANCELED PRIVILAGE OFFER AND I CALL TO PRIVILAGE CENTRE AND TALK WITH RENU NAD INFORM FOR CANCELED OFFER ON DATE[protected] AS PER TERM 30 DAYS NO MORE THAN BOOKING DATE[protected] BUT SHE NOT ACCEPT CANCELLATION BUT I CLEAR FOR CANCELLATION FOR OFFER AND I WILL BE PAY RS.399/- CANCELLATION CHARGE. I SENT MAIL TO SBI ON DATED[protected]. THESE PEOPLE MAKE FOOL TO CUSTOMER "SOME TIME SAY OFFER DISPATCHED AND JUST WITHIN 1 MINUTE CHANGE OFFER IN PROCESS" TAKE MORE 10-12 DAYS. IF ANY ANOTHER WAY FOR CANCELLATION OF OFFER
I too got call from SBI & I SAID yes for offer. After reading the above i feeling lucky that nothing such happen to me. I receievd benefeits from SBI. I booked a flight & paid just taxes, no base fair & also got extra points on my SBI card. I am old & happy customer that bank giving such good offers.
Nobody has written about redumption of sbi privelege if available. I could rather use the money for my M.SC admission and hostel instead of staying for 3 days 2 nights free on sbi card privelege and paying other taxes which might be to much since the heritage group of hotels nominated are 5 star hotels and could charge more as service tax and others taxes. Any one can tell me how will the hotel charges be for 3 days 2 nights if he has availed the offer. Heritage hotels are costly could any one can afford. Dongre P.M.

i have seen the complaints made by the customers, and every bodies experience is bad. Now I am thinking what to do? becuse you said that Tax will bared by us where as the customers says the tax it self is huge.

so, please clearly explain me once again to go with the offer or not

Sbi is a biggest public undertaking and a scheduled bank in india having very good image from general public.In such situations how the senior officers and executives of the bank are acting like dumb and deft without any prompt curative actions towards complaints of the customers since so many years.It is very disgraceful on part of the management of the sbi when the customers are requesting for cancellations of the previlage circle offer after finding it to be a big fraud. you people should not allow such companies to avail credit card amount using your sbi bank name.They are fully using sbi bank's name and telling that they are on behalf of sbi
and trying to convince the customers to give the consent which is absolutely a big fraud.so you pl take action to stop from such fraud games forthwith.
