[Resolved]  SBI Credit Cards — Regarding harassement from relationship executives

Sir,

I hold SBI Credit card(Gold More) since August 2008 and have been regretting my decision since then. First of all SBI card agents are selling "Gold More" cards in name of "platinum cards". Infact I asked the agent dozen times to verify this, since I always suspected it to be some variant of Gold cards. I was initially promised credit limits of 1 lakh and more while credit limit of my card is only 67000. Most disgusting part of this is hidden premiums these people charge in name of providing insurance cover. I have been constantly getting calls from SBI excuitves regarding some feature or other for which I have to pay premium. If I refuse to avail that I get very rude treatment from their side. Sample this

1. I get a call for accident/life insurance cover for credit card wherein I have pay around 120 rs per month. These was already there with card and If I have to cancel it I will have to call their help line which then give me some other links and so on and so forth.

2. SBI card gave demad draft of 5500/ to its cutsomers even though I dotn need it. I am charged 223 rs as transaction fee. I have to payback the money in 30 days after which i will be charged interest. When i asked how is that useful to me? They tried to fool me around . They didnt give me any single satisfactory answer. Again they will send me DD and if I dont want to avail this I will have to call the helpline and get it cancelled and then post the draft back to them

3. SBI medical insurance something .. Where in I get 2500 rs for each day spent in hospital. I have to pay 483 rs for this per month as premium . When i refused to take this, SBI execuitve almost slammed the phone on me.

I have following issues

1. Why cant simply they ask if I am interested and then pitch in their product?
2. Why cant they send me soft copy of features associated with product instead of rushing through that on phone?
3. Why sales exectuives promise false features to sell their credit cards? Who should be accountable for all this?

Kindly look in to this ASAP
