Pl find below the complaint sent to SBI card Division for harrassment of DSA of Mahim Branch.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thanks for your reply dated 14.03.2009 towards my letter dated 28.02.2009.
I am unable to understand the procedure followed in collecting the dues through collecting Agents. After receiving your letter, i had asked to SBI staff from Mahim branch( is this a Bank Branch or Collecting Agents Office ???)for necessary settlement. But they are variables on their grounds. As one is asking for the minimum amt due, another ready to give a settlement amt.
In this regards i talked to your representative Mr. Ravikant from Mahim branch (Bank Branch or Collecting Agents Office ? )that i am not able to pay the due in time as i am passing through some financial crises and and i will be able to pay in the month of April.
I am sure, if i am paying the dues after the due dates, it will panalised for late payment charges. i agree to this. But as this is Credit card payment,
how your collecting agent can force to pay the same imediately on tomarrow i.e. on 27.03.2009 and if i failed to pay the same, your staff threatened me to visit my Residence to collect the same.
Is this is a proper way to handle the customer in this manner ????
If you can see my previous payments, i had made the payments as under in recent months.

Even i am ready to pay the dues, but your staff had given this warning to pay.
Requested to Pl inform to your staff that we had not taken any personal loan at our will, this is a credit card payment under the terms of credit facility to pay min. amt in due date, and if failed it is being panalised by bank in their statements.
Recovery Agents are supposed to recover the dues in fair parctices and not by abusing and harrassing the customers to pay. ( Pl note the RBI Guidelines to Credit Card Operations of Bank (Nov 21, 05) under para 5 protection of customer Rights under sub para (iii)(c).
So, pl inform to your staff to wait for the payments and do not harrass the customer (me and my family).
