This is to bring to your kind attention the fact that many of the bank managers in TamilNadu are asking students to submit PAN card, passport etc in order to sanction educational loans.Students often lose 1-2 months attendance on account of making arrangements to get a PAN card or passport. When they go to a bank for availing the second installment of the loan, some bank managers tell them that as the previous manager is transferred they need to submit all documents and apply again. Students and their parents are often harassed by the bank officials. Some bank managers ask them to come on the next day or next week or next month.Some of them deny loans for students telling that loans will not be sanctioned if the student wants to study in any college outside the state.This is the state of the situation when they are applying for a loan amount of Rs3 lakhs only.The bank manager of SBT, Kalakad branch has not sanctioned loan for B.Sc.Nursing students studying in Bangalore as they did not submit passport.They are Ms.Sheebanesabai, Ms.Glarin Bavilarose, Ms.Dhanasutha, S Dalphine, Thangam and Roseline.Kindly do the needful. Student — About Educational Loan
I am studying in Kamban Engineering College thiruvannamalai.My father can't able pay the collage fees .I have applied for Educational Loan in Indian Bank Kariyamangalam branch last year,but the loan amount was not sanctioned for me. So please take necessary action to sanction my loan.Thank You
