My Skoda Octavia is corroding and Skoda refuse to repair under corrosion warranty, they are cheats, I would not recomend anyone to buy a Skoda car or any other car from the Volkswagen Group the body panels are terrible for rust.

Dear Fellow,

I have recently had a terrible experience with Skoda which has costed me a lot of money, harassment and still an unreliable Skoda Superb car. Astonishingly, The Skoda Company is hands-in-gloves with its Dealerships & Authorized Workshops, who are given a free-hand to exploit customers and fleece them mercilessly by Skoda itself.

I empathize with the similar exploitation inflicted on you by Skoda and hence urge you to not let it just be at the hands of foreign companies, who think of India as a dumping ground and Indian Customers a bunc of weak, uneducated .

I am creating a forum of 100 similar sufferers who can together jointly address our issues with Skoda to apt regulatory, media, public and rating agencies till we get a resolution.

Await your revert and support to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

    AC Compressor Defect

    Address: Andhra Pradesh

    This Vehicle is having a serious Manufacture defect in its AC Compressor. If you are lucky and if this problem comes to your notice with in 2 years then the company will replace free of charge else you have to shell out Rs.80,000/- just for the compressor, which is an Exorbitant price the company is charging, which we can get the same model compressor for Rs.25,000/- from outside.

    my name is vikas gupta.i have brought anew car skoda fabia from krishna auto sales ludhiana on[protected].when i go to home i realise that engine of my car became off in first and second gear.my home is 50 km away from skoda showroom.i am giving complaints regularly from next day.when i visit skoda workshop on 2nd may 5 pm they cheak my car and unable to fault find and asked to me pls come next day.When i go there on 3rd may morning they keep my car for repair.today is[protected] ,1.05 pm til now they r unable to find the fault.i request to the company manager that i have used this car only 100 KM so plz replace it but they r refusing our request. i am suffering too much emotionally and financially. according to me they give me old car. so plz do something

      This is surely a defective car sold in India.It should be banned as it robs the purchaser of its hard earned money.I was really unfortunate to purchase this car.I had to change the turbo charger,clutch flywheel assembly,ac compressor and condenser,turbo hose pipe etc. etc. soon after the warranty was over for which i had to pay the amount equal to a brand new Santro car.Please Please Please... do not buy this car.
      Also help your friends and relatives by asking them not to buy this car.

        ref- skoda laura 1363 / Delhi

        there are several customers who have over past 4 years suffered ac system mal functioning problems.
        We are collecting all the data and shall soon put up thru the legal consumer court.
        Skoda laura - has an inherint problem of poor cooling .
        We had been complaining since time of purchase.
        Your dept mis guided us and tried to cover up during warranty .
        No later the vehicle is out of warranty , we get a reply--
        change compressor and condensor.

        Why was this not replaced initially when customer complained ??
        why was the trials done thru 4 years at customer cost??
        skoda india must pay up all damages, trouble faced by consumer ??
        not only to me , but each and every consumer must get justice ??
        free replacement and the ac system must be made operational satisfactorily ??
        pls stop cheating indian community , and pls provide quality parts / Services ??
        3 dealerships /5 times sent for ac repairs in past 4 years ??
        this is nothing but cheating /Charging high and not delivering correct material to consumers ??



        pls revert . Urgent .

          SIR,
          WE tried to call your office several times , even left messages for you to respond but it seems you are too busy and have not been able to respond till now.
          since purchase , when it was under warranty till date[protected] , 3 times car has been sent to continental workshop in delhi for repairs of the ac system and 4th time to farenhite workshop , and finally to again a new dealership workshop -JAI.
          5 times for rectification of a problem ,which was there right from day one .
          no one has correctly detected the exact problem . sometime gas charge , sometime valve change etc etc .
          skoda india - either has purposely done this to kill time , pass trhu warranty , and make consumer pay for the R&D.

          we are sick of the problem . everytime the sending of vehicle also has a cost .

          we shall take this legally thru various media / consumer forums till justice is given to end consumer, and the entire system is rectified at skodas cost?
          why shall the customer suffer for 4 years ?
          we shall claim the damages over past 4 years too ??


          pls note--this is our 7th reminder over 5days and the vehicle is at the workshop/jai auto

            Have owned a Skoda car for about 6 years now, firstly an Octavia RS and now a Superb. The cars are absolutely well made and are great cars. The dealer experience however sucks. everytime I have to interact with a dealer, I kick myself & wish I had not bought the car. Tafe in Bangalore should stick to selling tractors - they have no concept of managing customer expectations for a high end retail product. Skoda claims they are "obsessed with quality" looks like they need to be reminded that quality as perceived by me (as a customer) includes the dealer experience, where they have done really badly. I would rate the car as a 10 on 10 on performance and the dealers as a minus 100 on 10. It is that bad.!!! Anybody in Bangalore, thinking of buying a Skoda, please think again. Even much lower priced cars like Hyundai or Maruti, offer many times better dealer experience. The lease on my current Skoda ends in about a year and I wont buy another Skoda ever.

              Sorry to state that in spite of my best efforts you are also start speaking on the same tune as was spoken by the Mr. yasir syed. i have explained in detail about the circumstances in which the break pad were changed but you have also chosen to take protection of your inefficiency on the same part . My request to the company Board is very specific
              "Is the car which have travelled only 23000 Kilometre even visiting the so many time to your dealer and with the so many part changes by the service dealer in a span of two year as per Skoda Standard "?
              Once again requested that please give a specific reply to my aforesaid question .
              Further one of my another fried have already filed a case with the consumer court for the poor service rendered by your dealer of Skoda superb. If you wish i can sent the detail of the same . I may also have to go by the same rout . We are planning to foam a association in Delhi to find out how many skoda owner are facing similar problems so that a joint efforts can taken against the Company

              We are given to understand from our dealership that the brake-pads found in your car were non-genuine, please understand that it becomes difficult to look into the case for the further resolution as we cannot conclude the matter where in non-genuine (other than Skoda Auto parts) are found as a fitment and therefore the efficiency of the product is in question. Moreover please be informed that Brake pads, brake discs, clutch plates etc are wear n tear components which are also user dependent hence they are not covered under warranty.

              I am writing this communication after exhausting all my efforts to find out what is the meaning of quality product by the skoda Auto. Is the lime limit fixed under warrantee or minimum kilometre run ? . The writer has purchased a skoda superb car and the same was delivered on[protected] and till the writing of this letter the same has admittedly travelled only 23000 kilometre. during the last two year the car has been with service centre number of time and so many parts have been changed and the detail of the same can be noted from the bottom of this mail . In order to get the fair treatment so many mail has been exchanged with so many executive including Mr. Nitin Dixit but no fair reply has been received . Mr. Nitin Dixit has promised to look in to matter but his promised also back tracked . At last my question with all the executive was whether the skoda as a manufacture is satisfied with the performance of the car in question but no one replied except talking about a one tune that the warranty has expired . My submission before the board member is that with the two year of existence and with the so many visit with service manger "is the car in question has given world class standard performance "? My feeling is the justification given by the Mr. Yasir Syed is not justifiable and the matter should be further investigate .
              My humble request to the member of the board is that if Board is satisfied with the reply of Mr. sayed do write to me so that i shall give up my efforts and not to further trouble any one in the organisation and will happily enjoy the my mistake . I am also forwarding the earlier mail also exchanged with Mr. Kulkarni for reference

              I am writing this communication after exhausting all my efforts to find out what is the meaning of quality product by the skoda Auto. Is the lime limit fixed under warrantee or minimum kilometre run ? . The writer has purchased a skoda superb car and the same was delivered on[protected] and till the writing of this letter the same has admittedly travelled only 23000 kilometre. during the last two year the car has been with service centre number of time and so many parts have been changed and the detail of the same can be noted from the bottom of this mail . In order to get the fair treatment so many mail has been exchanged with so many executive including Mr. Nitin Dixit but no fair reply has been received . Mr. Nitin Dixit has promised to look in to matter but his promised also back tracked . At last my question with all the executive was whether the skoda as a manufacture is satisfied with the performance of the car in question but no one replied except talking about a one tune that the warranty has expired . My submission before the board member is that with the two year of existence and with the so many visit with service manger "is the car in question has given world class standard performance "? My feeling is the justification given by the Mr. Yasir Syed is not justifiable and the matter should be further investigate .
              My humble request to the member of the board is that if Board is satisfied with the reply of Mr. sayed do write to me so that i shall give up my efforts and not to further trouble any one in the organisation and will happily enjoy the my mistake .               This mail has been sent Mr. Dixit for personal communication If Mr. Dixit is not willing to reply he should sent mail to me no to you.
              This mail has been sent Mr. Dixit on his commitment to sent me the mail in respect of my request for extension of the warrantee which he has promised to sent with in two hour . Even after the making number of call and promised by dixit but have not received any mail. I hope a person such steature once promised and now avioding call not fare . he can state farwad refuse or show he unability help in the matter . As regarding your contention of non genuen part neccessary action is being taken against your dealer who has supllied that part . As far as my complaint is concer it relate to the quality of car supplied by the skoda. With reference to your concern regarding the subject car, we would like to reiterate that since the brake pads found in your car were non-genuine we will not be able to support the replacement of the Brake Discs under warranty or goodwill. Moreover please be informed that Brake pads, brake discs, clutch plates etc are wear n tear item which are also user dependent hence not covered under warranty. We regret to say that we cannot assist you further in this regard.

              We would also like to reiterate that any component may not run for entire life of vehicle, hence no manufacturer can specify the life cycle of the component but can give warranty period for a component so as not to burden the user with the repair costs for a certain period. Also please be apprised that the problems in a vehicle are attributed for various reasons and cannot be specifically pin pointed.

The serial no 1 in the above list is not available at the dealership and we have instructed the dealership to place an urgent order for the same which has been done by the dealership.

              We would like to assure your good self that we at Skoda Auto India impart continuous and advance training to our dealer technical staff throughout the network in India which also includes Fahrenheit Automobiles New Delhi. We also have standards for the manpower recruited at the dealership in terms of qualification and experience.               I purchased a Skoda Superb (Regn. No. DL6C J6939) from Sai Automobiles, Delhi and took its delivery on 7th Dec 08. Since the day one the car has been showing "Airbag Fault" message and the airbag light in the dispay has been glowing.

              I took the car to Fahrenhiet Automobiles, Delhi for check up on 07.04.2009. The service center opened the entire car and informed me that the front passenger side seat belt was not functioning properly and needed to be replaced. They told me the part would come in a weeks time. However the service center took more than three weeks to procure the part.

              My car went again on 04.05.2009 for the part to be replaced. This time after opening the car the service center realized that the front passanger seat belt is working fine. It is the rear seat belt which has a fault in the airbag tensioner and needs to be replaced.

              After this the car was again sent to the service center on 14.05.2009 for replacing the airbag tensioner. After opening up the car and working on it for three hours I was informed that the part they have procured is not working and they have to get a new part! Clearly they did not put any effort to check if the part was working before calling my car for service. Also, they told me that there was some fault in the wiring which has been fixed.

              Finally my car again went to the service station on 29.05.2009 for the part to be replaced. Again, this time after opening the car I was informed that the airbag tensioner in my car is fine and does not need to be replaced!! There is wiring fault in my car which is being rectified. I was already told on 14.05.2009 that there was wiring fault in the car and it was rectified. Then why was there a need to open up the wiring again?

              I have received my car back on 30.05.2009. The fault seems to have been rectified however the entire upholstery is dirty with hand marks and the finishing is undone. I can see loose ends of the cloth hanging out in various places. Also the leather on the hand break is cut in some places and the leather on the handle on the drivers door next to the window buttons is torn severely. It seems like the fitting of the car has been done in an extremely clumsy fashion and the service center has not taken care enough to get the car cleaned and fitted properly before sending it back. The service center has done more damage to my car than service.

              First of all I was delivered a faulty car without any proper PDI by the company! Second, your authorized agent is not competent enough to diagnose the problem in one checkup. They have opened this brand new car 4 times for this one problem which should have been captured and solved on the very first day I took the car to them. On top of it the finishing of the upholstery has been ruined and dirtied by their mechanics. The service center has been trying to solve the problem by trial and error and experimentation rather than properly diagnosing the car. It seems like the service center is taking the entire thing as a joke and is not interested in servicing the customers properly and instead harassing them.

              I do not think this is the way I or any other customer of such a reputed company dealing in luxury cars deserves to be treated. Please let me know what action is going to be taken against the service center and what should i do with the ruined upholstery in my car?

              I have talked to Mr. Praveen on 30.05.2009 on the company help line no.[protected] [protected] to register a complaint. The complaint no. is 30E101209. I want to talk to a senior manager supervising sales and servicing in Delhi to further discuss my problem. Please get the appropriate person to give me a call at [protected] [protected] .

                I Have purchased Skoda Laura - Ambiente TSI on February 2011. While Selling the car Executives from the Tafe Access Ltd. gave me the price list along with the specification and standard equipment. It is clearly mentioned that Front Fog Lamp is a standard equipment in the Model I have purchased but the delivered to me has no Front Fog Lamp, instead it is been fixed with the pvc grill.

                I have already brought this to the notice of Dealer & also the company many times but neither the dealer nor the company is responding.

                I would like to take it to the consumer court and have that feature fixed in to my Car. Please advice me.

                Yes I also bought an Ambiente TSI from Giriraj motors gurgaon I also did not get the front fog lamps as a part of standard equipment i am also starting to doubt whether they have given me Ambiente model or not though i did get the parking sensors and leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshift I am also worried since the brakes are different in both variants

                I empathize with the similar exploitation inflicted on you by Skoda and hence urge you to not let it just be at the hands of foreign companies, who think of India as a dumping ground and Indian Customers a bunc of weak, uneducated .

                I am creating a forum of 100 similar sufferers who can together jointly address our issues with Skoda to apt regulatory, media, public and rating agencies till we get a resolution.

                  i ve been using preowned skoda superb registration no. MH-04-CT- 8900,The car has some problem in its exhaust and a/c , which inspite of complainting and getting repaired for 3 times over the period of 15 months

                  I am writing this letter to you with the utmost disappointment and I have been regretting consistently for the contemptible treatment by Gurudev motors Service Centre, Guindy Chennai. I have bought Skoda, Superb Car in February 2011, Reg No:HR26-BG 7569 Ever since I started using this car, I was not much happy with the air conditioning system of it. Many times I happened to sweat inside the car and my friends were also felt the suffocation. Thus, I had decided to provide the car to the service center to inquire about the problem. Earlier, the service center authorities wanted the car to be in their custody for 10 days and they had informed me that compressor should have to be changed. I have granted them for the finest service to be done and I was eagerly expecting the salubrious air conditioning system on return. However, failing all my expectation, the AC inside the car had so salutary feature. My happiness and joy for having such a prestigious car has been discouraged. Many times I have been self humiliating myself for such worthless service by the center. Later, I wanted to ensure a thorough and careful service to be done on AC system in my Car. I gave the car for the second time to the same service center. The authorities had inspected the car and they told me that the compressor should be changed again. I was clueless to figure out what might be happening with the car, but, with the positive notes, I had to accept to change the compressor again. But, on that day, I was treated disgracefully and sordidly by the service center authorities. They kept me waited for more than three hours and they never replied me properly for any question. No one in the center was capable of showing hospitality and to my wonder I could not see any kindness among them. In particular the person who known to be Murali was very rough and ruthless in attending a customer. His nonchalance towards the customer queries and the service center’s inhospitable environment did not qualify the outfit to be an esteemed car service center. However, despite all the humiliation and disgracefulness, the problem in the car is yet not rectified and the function of the AC is still unimpressive. There is another problem with the car that I have changed 3 tubeless tyres within 20000 km for which I feel unnecessary and not a reputed sophistication for such a prestigious car.

                  Hence, I kindly report you that the fervency about my Skoda, Superb has been sapped. I was also disrespectfully treated by the Service center people and at the same cost my work is also not done. I require your earnest consideration and to requesting you to militate action against erring employees in the center.

                  I have been using Skoda Superb, in Mumbai for last over two years.
                  The AC in the car has a problem, and in case the driving time is in excess of 2 hours, the cooling becomes a problem, the AC needs to be adjusted, as the vehicle starts heating up, and indicator reaches red area.
                  This appears to be a manufacturing defect, and the service centre ha no clue about the same.
                  My car has been sent to service centres, at the regular intervals, of the scheduled service times, as indicated at the time of purchase, and each time AC related problem has not been attended by the Service Centre. In fact, couple of occasions, the car was sent back, for AC related problems, immediately after it came back from the service.
                  For last two days, the car is in the garage, and the fellow at Seweri Garage is not in a position to find any reason, why the AC is not functioning.
                  Couple of days ago, the car has to be stopped to cool after it ran for approximately 30 KM, in Mumbai evening peak traffic, (Nariman point to Goregoan, between 7 pm and 9.30 pm), for about 20 minutes. Post that also, we had to run the car, with window glasses down (with AC Off), so that the car does not heat.
                  This needs to be factored in while taking a decision to go for this vehicle.

                    We would like to draw your kind attention on the subject matter mentioned above.

                    We purchased a Skoda Octavia on[protected], the car has done only 55,000 km and broke down in the month of Dec.’10. The vehicle was sent for repairs to M/s Sai Automobiles who still has a huge SKODA Board on its gate (Photo enclosed), Noida who intimated that engine has seized due to oil seal failure in the Turbo Charger and also give us an estimate to repair for Rs. 216,000/-. We asserted that the Turbo Charger’s failure is the cause of engine seizer as initiated by Sai Automobiles your earlier authorized service provider (Turbo has no service intervals and life period). Skoda assures 150,000 kms smooth running by this vehicle as written in the service manual provided along with the car.

                    The vehicle was shifted from M/s Sai Automobiles, to M/s Nawab Motors, Noida on the behest of SKODA MANAGEMENT, who were fully aware of our contention of repair of the vehicle on FOC basis and after shifting the vehicle to M/s Nawab Motors, your service team instead of repairing the vehicle has sent us a quotation for Rs. 339,000/- for the repair of the engine (which was earlier quoted Rs. 216,000/-), the quotation details of repairs were also given to SKODA CUTOMER CARE.

                    The action of your service team amounts to be a breach of trust customer has reposed in the company beside a clear case of cheating the customer. Our earlier correspondence in respect of the said subject matter is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.

                    We, once again, reiterate our original stand that it is the supply / fixing / providing sub-standard parts/ products / materials with in the vehicle because of which the engine seizure has occurred and as such the company is liable to make good all the direct / in-direct losses suffered or likely to suffer.

                    In the light of the foregoing we would, once again, request the company to repair the said car free of charge and provide us a stand by car till the vehicle is repaired and handed over to us. Your personal intervention in this particular case is solicited.

                      Hi , I am driving Skoda Octavia from November 2009. I must say this is the worst decision i have taken to purchased substandard vehicle at Rs 1200000. my agony started after driving the vehicle for 25000 km , There was a noise in brake and i got the car checked at Giriraj Motors Gurgaon, and as per them the brake shoe and disc pads are gone and need to replaced , which i did after paying Rs 11000, since the noise in the car was very common and after taking the car for 3 more time, they were not able to rectify it and giving me stupid excuses , today again i took the car for the same and found out that the brake pads, disc pads , shocker mounting , suspension bush arms and radiator fan is gone and every thing needs replacement . I am shocked to hear that .I am billed for Rs 210000 only since my radiator is well under warranty , Now you can understand that this car has so much of problem after driving it for ony 46000km and i cannot imagine what rucus it will create when it goes pass 1 lakh km.
                      I will like to request all the readers please dont by this sub standard car . it will only gives sleepless nights and will dig a deep hole in your pocket.

                        My Skoda Octavia diesel car bought less than three years ago caught fire yesterday due to an apparent technical fault and was burnt to ashes in minutes. There was no CNG or LPG fitted in the car. Our lives got saved by a split second as we noticed smoke on getting down from the car. The car was well maintained, in original condition and serviced in the authorised service centre just two weeks back.

                        What does a consumer do in such a case...Knock the insurance door or expect the company to replace the car with compensation for the mental trauma and risk to life?

                          There are enough complains on this forun about breaks, AC, engine noise etc.. Search with "SKODA Fabia complaints". On top of all pathetic service from Mahavir Auto.

                            Skoda company.


                            I am the owner of the car skoda superb which was

                            purchased in the month of july 2010. bearing registration nos MH43AE5040 all the problem started after I got

                            the first servicing of my car

                            • The first servicing was done on 31/01/11

                            • On the 16 /2 2011 I was driving my car and the car caught fire in its boot . I was driving with my 2 year old daughter . it was the worst experience as our lives were in danger.

                            • Regarding that I was informed that there was a problem with the injector and my car was in the service station till the 3/3/2011. the coolant set and the oil filter was changed .also the power window was changed.

                            • Again on 23/3/2011 my car gave me a new shock while driving on the highway my gear box slipped [triptonic failure]. The car was again sent to the service station till the 2/4/2011. the battery was also changed

                            • Now on the 7/4/2011 I was in a very important business meeting with my client in hotel hyatt . as soon as we started the car it would not start what an insult I had to send my client in a cab . somehow I managed to get te car home

                            When I got this car I was really impressed with the features and would recommend it all my friends . but after my experience I feel it’s a big mistake. I feel cheated as a faulty car has been delivered to me . your local customer care have treated us like we own a taxi not a superb . no positive response from any service stations . even the aurangabad service was not impressive and not upto the mark.
                            I request u to take some immediate action in this regard
                            I have also sent a lawyers notice to JMD –vashi which again got no response from your end . I also will let this matter in the media that a company like yours is just giving false promises and not deliver what they promise.

                            Skoda / Superb — simple part not available

                            Dear sir, I have a Skoda Superb which is hardly a year old now my boot rubber of front both wheels is damaged and none of the Mumbai dealers have the same they say we have asked from company at Aurangabad but still nothing happining this has been going on for more then four months, I am worried because of this small part any major damage to bearings / grease dosn't happen .
                            I agree with you. SKODA sukcks big time. I am also one of the victims of it.

                              hi there is big issue of gearbox in new superb ,as ur car can get stuck anywhere without any warning signal.I was the sufferer,luckily it happened in warranty period.Still its more than a week my car is in garage without any call from skoda.

                              I have recently had a terrible experience with Skoda which has costed me a lot of money, harassment and still an unreliable Skoda Superb car. Astonishingly, The Skoda Company is hands-in-gloves with its Dealerships & Authorized Workshops, who are given a free-hand to exploit customers and fleece them mercilessly by Skoda itself.

                              I empathize with the similar exploitation inflicted on you by Skoda and hence urge you to not let it just be at the hands of foreign companies, who think of India as a dumping ground and Indian Customers a bunc of weak, uneducated .

                              I am creating a forum of 100 similar sufferers who can together jointly address our issues with Skoda to apt regulatory, media, public and rating agencies till we get a resolution.

                              Await your revert and support to reclaim what is rightfully ours.

                              IF the Housing of gear box pressed and little problem for speeding the I.V is it to replace the entire Mechatronic systen or it can be repaired. Kindly give some suggestion as the insurance company not agreed for replacement.

                                I have purchased fabia classic on 07.03.2011 from mahavir autodiagnostics(p) ltd, Jubilee Hills showroom, hyderabad. with tr no.AP 09 UG TR 9146.

                                The fabia classic car has come with hell lot of problems like front suspension problem, rear mufler sound, when the car on move a/c is totally switched off still out side air coming from the blowers, noise from front when i apply breaks.

                                The major issue the MAHAVIR AUTODIAGNOSTIC (P) LTD has delivered dec-2010 model fabia car in month of march-2011. so i am loosing depriciation of 20% with the brand new car.

                                The DEALER MAHAVIR AUTODIAGNOSTIC (P) LTD has cheated me by delivering a defective and old model fabia classic car.

                                i have written email and sent fax to the managing director skoda auto and customer care skoda auto and to the dealer mahavir autodiagnostic, but no response.

                                MAHAVIR AUTODIAGNOSTICE IS A BIG CHEATER, HE IS DEALER FOR HYDERABAD/ VIJAYAWADA/ VIZAG PURCHASERS BEWARE PL CHECK THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURING BEFORE TAKING DELIVERY (2011 MODEL)OR U WILL ALSO LOOSE DEPRICIATION OF 20% ON YOUR CAR LIKE ME.

                                i am putting a cheating case, publishing in the news papers and filing a case in the consumer forum.

                                I agree with you. They also cheated me several times whenever I approach them for any problem. Recently I have missed with thin margin on loosing life with family because of Mahavir/SKODA.

                                I have problem with my Fabia that breaks will not work once in a while when I drive at high speeds, I met with a big accident and now I am paying for it. I reported this problem to them several times, but everytime they comeback with some stupid explanaiton. I also have problems with ABS, AC, FM Radio, Irritating sounds, Backside suspension etc..

                                I escalated to SKODA also several times on pathetic performance of Mahavir, it was escalated to highest level, but no use.

                                After I decided to SAY NO TO SKODA.

                                  Please to inform you that we Vadilal Industries Limited have purchase Skoda Superb on dated 20/11/2009 vides bill no. 315 from Torque Automotive Pvt. Ltd. Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

                                  The car registration no. is GJ1KC7214 and chassis no. is 99A301944.

                                  On the dated 10th Dec.’10, we have given car to make a service at Torque Automotive Pvt. Ltd. Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. At the time of investigation service center found that MECHATRONIC WITH SOFNOS damaged due to your company fault. The company has taken 15 days to get it repaired. The reference invoice no. is AHMD-005547 dated 24th Dec.’10.

                                  Now on dated 14th Feb.’11, once again we have given the car to the service center for Gear Automation Problem and Starting problem. By today 29 days already passed and we have not received any response from service centre and company regarding diagnose/solution of the problem. It is very bad for company like SKODA i.e. we are not getting any positive response from Customer Care. We also requested to provide us a stand by car immediately to make our smoother transportation and get our car repaired or replace as soon as possible but no response received for the same.

                                  Last time the service center has taken 15 days to get it repaired and now they are not giving me any positive response by when they get it repaired and give us the delivery.

                                  Due to this problem our company is facing transportation problem, as an interim solution you are requested to help in getting a stand by car to make our smoother transportation and getting our car repaired as soon as possible or to help in replacing the car from Company.

                                  Please look into the matter.

                                    Dear Mr. Raina,
                                    Thanks for your email & now I await Skoda's decision because in the whole process Skoda has kept quiet since October 2010 & car is at your workshop since 4th February.

                                    Note : Mr. Syed, Mr. Yadav, Mr. Srinivas since I am not getting a response then least I can do is start a chain mail highlighting the problems with Skoda car & people should not buy SKODA, to begin with I am sending to 5 people & requesting them to pass it on to their friends.

                                    Similarly every 2nd day this would be passed to 5 different email ids with similar request stating that SKODA cars are not good for Indian conditions & they fail in less than 5 years.

                                      Dear Skoda Management,

                                      I am appalled at the level of after sales service from Skoda dealership JMD (Andheri East and Kandivali) Mumbai.

                                      I had purchased a Skoda Laura Ambiente 1.9 in February 2008 from Nummer Eins. Registration number is MH04 DN 1392. It has only been serviced by Skoda Authorised service centers.

                                      Firstly, the dealer (Nummer Eins) from which I purchased the car soon was shut down. I understand the dealership was closed as they were engaging in unethical practices. I did not receive any intimation from Skoda that this had occurred and several pending issues remain open to this date. Skoda should have ideally scanned each car sold by Nummer Eins so any problems could be identified.

                                      Secondaly, I had an accident in 2009 where my car was repaired by JMD workshop in Kandivili. The entire process took over 1 month and only after I escaled the matter to several supervisors were some of the issues resolved included a poor paint job. This was after spending nearly Rupees 180,000 on the repairwork.

                                      In January this year (2011), I had sent my car for servicing at JMD Andheri East , where it was identified that the lower arm bush and front suspension linkages required replacement for a noise coming from the front of the car. After spending Rupees 14,000 apart from the servicing costs, the noise was not rectified whereas the workshop had confirmed that all problems were fixed. The car just run c.30,000 kms.

                                      Within a few days, when I sent back the car for the noise which was increasing, I was informed something additional had to be fixed.(Steering etc related). Despite my complaints that the noise was die to impropor work by the workshop, nothing was done and I was offered a 2% discount on parts and 10% on labour instead of fixing the car.
                                      I am really upset with this level of service for a so-called luxury car built with an obsession to quality since 1885, which atleast in India does not appear to be true.

                                      I have informed the workshoip that I will be making a complaint to Skoda and will also be sending over this complaint to the Czech Misssion in India, your parent VW, the consumer forum and news and internet sites so that consumers are made aware of the issues in purchasing Skoda cars including Facebook and Twitter.

                                      As a customer who has owned and driven cars across all classes in the US, Europe and Asia, I have never come across such poor and pathetic service and complete lack of respect for customers once a sale is completed.

                                      My close friends, family and colleagues have over 10 Skoda cars ranging from the Superb V6 to the Fabia and I will pass this feedback to them as well.

                                      I totally support Mr, Agarwal on this topic and seriously it was a big mistake for me also to buy a skoda car. The serice is pathetic... its a record that whenever the car has come back fron the service station, after a week or sumthin there is sumthing majorly wrong with the car and we have to pay heavily for these damages. After i bought a skoda in 2008 and within like 1 year i came to know about the pathetic service and mal practices going in the company i have not bought a skoda car and mind you we have bought like 19 cars during this time in almost all price range.

                                      The cars skoda make are genuinely good but i think due to the service it would not grow and instead due to the patheric service back up it would not work in india on a long term basis. The service is :

                                      1) Too much delayed
                                      2) Customer in neglected
                                      3) so many malpractices goin on in the company like changing your parts, deliberately calling your car 3-4 times for a simple work, extra estimations and unnecessarily part changes.
                                      4) and lastly even i have tried and contacted Skoda worlwide and Volkswagen but they are also least bothered about these issues.
