i did not use new card till today , due to sbi life super suraksha insurence charges are included in the bill which i dont want to have so kindly remove insurece amount and let me use the credit card , as iam not able to pay the bill.

I Was using the SBI card in 2005. After noticing the charges levied are exorbitant and meaningless, I approached the SBI Crdit card to clarify. But I will not be receiving any dirct reply to my question. They will mearly say that your out standing balance is So much. (with out making any reduction). When I stopped repayment for a month, I received calls from SBI Crdit card(Mr. Adithan by name) , Chennai and when I argued that the charges mentioned was exorbitant, he advised me to pay reduced amount and get full settlement report but when I payed the amount stated by him, I didnt receive any completion ( No Balance report) report. Rather, I was charged with subsequent interst and keep on receiving statements. My attempts to meet the officer in person did not materialise as there was strict security in the office and I was chased away like a beggar. I have never experienced such a bad treatment from any body in my life, though I am a Govt. Gazzetted Officer.
I advise every body to surrender their SBI Cards (if they are already a card holder) and request new seekers to avod going in for SBI CRDIT CARDS.

I WOULD LIKE TO DRAW YOUR ATTENTION THAT SBI CREDITS CARDS ARE BIG HEADCH AFTER GIVING THE PAYMENT TO THE BANK THEY SAID U HAD NOT GIVEN IT. am using SBI credit card. I dont want to use it for future because they are not had requested you no. of times thru Customer care to waive off the interest, but to no avail and the treatment of the customer care was also not humanitarian. About six month ago I had again contacted Customer Care when they assured me that the matter would be settled by Collection deptt. Who would contact me on my mobile. They contacted me & assured me that the matter has been settled but they did not turn up for collection of amount.
In the meantime, I had requested to customer care to Close my credit card but they did not do so and charged interest again and again. This has given me mental torture.
I request you once again to cooperate and close my credit card & settle my account with out charging any interest

I am very much agree about the compalint that Mr. AGARWAL has launched. Many more S.B.I. Card holder every day
facing the same kind of problem. I strongly recommend before appling for the card one should think all the problems that can be created by S.B.I. Card. If the card holder does not get solution of his problem, like many other as Mr.Agarwal, that is unnecessary generated by S.B.I. card. the complaint should be made to
cosumer forum.

I would like to bring to your notice that I have cancelled the above mentioned card last year, and by telephonic conversation you have adviced me to break the card as i have no outstanding with you.But you have sent me statement dated 15th june 2008 with 0.69 paise as credit balance.

For question asked by your rude customer services executive saying we should have sent that gift voucher within one month of receipt we had replied that after reciving gift voucher there was no hard copy of monthly state ment had been sent to our permanent address and not even soft copy on our email too so that we would have taken necessary steps at very initials stage regarding this matter . So it was all fault by your handling department as when the got pressure of collection at financial year end they started calling for the amount imposed on that free gift voucher as we were told and the height of limit was that intrest imposed on that without making us know That is very severe offence or the department handing to making customers not knowing amount imposed and fooling us by presenting false information the calling executive have been informed more than 20 times about the situation and to look up on this matter

I have received SBI CREDIT CARD STATEMENT on dtd.10.11.2009 & accordingly i have drop cheque on dtd.26.11.2009 of Rs.3400.00 having Cheque no. 027448 dtd.26.11.2009 [Bank: UCO BANK, SWAVALAMBI NAGAR BRANCH], but still cheque yet not credited to SBI CREDIT CARD A/C NO. [protected].
Pls note that i have checked with Area where i drop the Cheque. Hence, u r requested to please look into this matter & let us know why its not yet credited? As our last date of payment has already been gone on dtd.30.11.2009.

Re: My Credit card No.[protected].
I am very sorry to bring it to your kind notice that the person who came to my residence to collect the cheque towards part payment of Bank's due on account of Card usage, refused to accept a cheque for Rs. 5000/- He was insisting for a cheque of Rs. 2700/- or so and was not prepared to accept the amount of Rs.5000/-. He contacted a person over phone and made my father to talk to him. When my father asked him as to why he is not accepting the cheque for an amount bigger than being demanded, he very rudely spoke to my father telling him that he (my father) was wasting his time. He was not prepared to listen to my father and kept repeating for a cheque of lesser amount.
I do not understand the rationale behind not receiving the payment more than being demanded to reduce the Bank's outstanding dues. The Card holder must have liberty to pay any amount to reduce the total dues over and above the minimum being demanded. At the instant of his supervisor speaking, perhaps, from Chennai over phone, the collecting agent refused to accept the cheque for Rs.5,000/-. When he was asked to refuse in writing, he declined to refuse in writing as suggested by his supervisor. Is it not highhandedness on the part of official concerned?
When the same person spoke to me over phone at my office, he spoke with me also similarly in rude manner. He rather threatened me for a dire consequence which justifies reporting to the police for taking cognizance. One can not play with my or my father's prestige for petty dues of the Bank.
This non-payment and over dues situation arose due to my being out of station on official tour for about three months and also due to some domestic reasons. Now when I am trying to pay substantially more than demanded, refusal of repayment is against the laid down norms not at all justified. If this is the way of collecting Bank’s dues, I am afraid I shall not be able to repay the Bank’s dues. I feel this is a fit case to refer to the Consumer Forum.
I am a bonafide card holder and not a criminal or willful defaulter. Your concerned officials have no right to behave rudely and indecently with me or with my family members. Our genuine queries annoy them and make them to say “Don’t waste our time” I just like to know whether this is way the concerned official should speak and provide services to the customers / card holders.
In view of the above, I request you to look into the matter and the conduct of the officials concerned. I further like to know whether the Bank is prepared to accept the cheque for Rs. 5000/- or not. At present, I am unable to pay any amount less or more than Rs.5000/- I look forward to your reply and necessary action in the matter at the earliest.
