I've been an SBI credit card holder since 1999 and was quite comfortable with it till 2005. Now, the same credit card has become a big pain in the neck and is robbing off my mental peace.
When I became a card holder(1999), I had given my official address as my contact address. But in 2005, due to personal reasons I had given directions to redirect all correspondence to my residential address. Surprisingly, after some 4 months every letter from you, except my credit card statement reached my residential address correctly. Its 3 years now, and inspite of repeated calls to the deaf service centre, no action was taken. Somehow I found solace with the online service, to check my account statement and paid my bills.I had always made by payments within the interest free period.
Now, suddenly, I dont know for what reason I am unable to login. It says my account is locked. I had to keep in memory the transactions. SBI does not count a payment made before the billing date as payment received. Calling the customer service is futile, because we only have to listen to a computerized service and they have no way of listening to us (of course, not that they are going to respond immediately and with sense).
I made a payment of Rs.875 before my billing date, but that has not been considered. Though I have made all my payments correctly, when I called the service center, it says my current outstanding is Rs.1508 and god knows how, for this undue payment alone I have received a letter without any details of transactions. I've made the payment (though I'm at a loss) to get rid of your irritating and agonizing, irresponsible service. Inspite of this I'm not able to login to my account.
