MY CC statement contains a cheque pick up fee for a month when no one came and picked up any cheque. When the so called helpline was called, an incapable and utterly rude woman answered the call and could not assist and explain why the charge is there. All I wanted to know is why this charge is showing and can you give me the cheque number? She refused to answer any question of mine and when I said I would not pay anything till an answer is given, she told me go ahead and don't pay.
Nationalized banks do not deserve to operate in times like today without giving proper training and learning customer service traits from other companies or even private banks. Being in the customer service industry, the service I have received is a shame and represents how poor and backward our nationalized banks are when it comes to customer service.
SBI is the only bank that I have a relationship with is a pain in the neck. I do not see their business flourishing or existing in the times we are leaving today without a complete overhaul and introspective analysis of their committment to their customers. I am cancelling the card and vow never ever to give my business, however small to bank like SBI.
If anyone from SBI reads this, use this to improve your services and check all the complaints people have taken time to write. There is a reason why the US market lives by the slogan "The customer is always right", learn and ensure you give 5% of the service that your customers expect.
