[Resolved]  State Bank of India — Reversal of latefee Rs.433.12 ,Cheque Pick up fee , Cheque Bounce charges and other charges if any made for the same reason

Dear sirs,


I have been using SBI card for the last two three years and have experienced your attitude behind to trap the customer for levying high charges on the one or the other pretext which is really embarassing. Quite some time two years back once I received an interest free Cash offer for a certain period, which I availed and deposited the amout well before the specified date . But I was surprised to note that the amount I had deposited within the credit peroid was not adjusted against the same on the pretext that my total amount of outstanding was not cleared by the date. I would like to bring to your notice that since the amount for which the offer was sent to me was deposited by me well in time apart from my other usual transactions then why you have clubbed my other transactions with your cash offer while I was paying for the same seperately and if there was any reason like this then How can you give me cash offer while there was outstanding of my routin transaction at that time which clears that the only thing to give this offer was to trap me and to charge heavy interests from me which I only came to know after carefully going through your bills after a period of almost one year and you have remained charging for the amount which I had already deposited about one year back which is totally unjustified.
Since I was helpless as no response to my aforesaid query was given by any of your rep. on customer care and I kept mum.

Now since I did not received any bill for my transactions made during the months of Apr./ May, 08 I requested for the same and got the details of my transactions over phone and dropped the cheque against the same in the drop box three days before the due date and confirmed the same at your helpline no. [protected] and they assured me no late fee will be charged for the same as I have already given my request for the bill but unfortunately due to my bankers lapses the cheque was got bounced due to their negligency which I came to know through your duplicate statement and I therefore took up the matter with my banker and they realised their negligency and asked me to approach you for re-presenting the same cheque which I immediately conveyed you over your said helpline . Your rep. showed me their helpness to waive off the bounce charges on account of the above.

I received my credit card bill for the month of May/June, 2008. It is embarassing to note that you have charged late fee charges and cheque pick up fee for the reason well know to you. I would like to mention here that Your Rep. contacted me over phone for collection of payment and assured me that no late fee and any other charges will be charged from me in view of the above but depite that you have charged the subject charges .

In view of the above I request you to please ensure me that I am not at loss for using your SBI card and immediated waive off the subject charges and please check on your records and see the extra charges you had charged from me for the aforesaid intrerest free cash offer ensure that the same is also refunded to me keeping in view the above else I will be constrained to put this matter before the Hon'ble Consumer Court, UT Chandigarh.
