[Resolved]  State Bank of India — Harrasement by SBI recovery agensts.

, Sir
My name is Johnson Richard Tirkey with the SBI card number [protected].Its been over a year now that i have stopped using the card now due to some unsatisfied reasons. The primary amount that i have spent on the card till the time i was using the card was approximately[protected] INR. Since the time i have stopped using the card i have been talking to executives for the closure of the account and for the final settlement and its been approximately 10 months now.I have been facing undue harrasement of the customer care executives calling from the Gurgaon office (infinity towers) and asking me to pay my minimum monthly payment.
Just recently (month of April) a third party executive came to my house with the bank settlement letter that said that upon payment of 8000 INR i would be closing down my account and that i will not be carrying any dues with the bank. At that time i told him that i will not be able to pay the full amount at one shot but i gave him 3580 INR plus another 415 INR as the fee for NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE that he said that he will get it issued within four to five days. But this agent never gave me all the information that if i am not paying the full amount at one shot it will not be considered. He was only intrested in meeting his collection target. At that time he said that i can pay the remaining balance the next month and that the case would be with him only the next month also. At that time i thought that this person was employed with the SBI and later only i realised that this person was from an agency working for the bank.
Now again the last month another executive came to my house and he said that now the case has been transferred to him and that i need to pay my minimum payment of 750 INR for the month so that i do not face any inconvinience in going through the settlement procedure. I really appreciate this person who helped me understand the whole procedure and that he said that now i just have to pay the remaining amount of approximately 3300 INR that was due balance of 8000 INR.
Month of July (last 2 weeks) and the month of July i have been getting calls everyday 4-5 times a day by executives calling from infinity towers Gurgaon to pay by bills.
Now i have so many concerns here that i have come across that i am going through your bank:
The executives calling me up rather than trying to understand my situation are only intrested in putting their communication across which is more like an arguement, always i end up hanging the phone. ( i have been taking about the same topic for the last 3 weeks thrice a day).
The executives calling up even do not have the complete details of my case, if i ask something they will just give a simple excuse that the systems are down and they can't ascess the details.
The executives themselves do not have a proper sense o[censored]nderstanding and every time they call up i have to explain the situation all from the begining.
Today (2nd July) i got a call from KUNAL calling from infinity tower and i found his behavior highly unprofessional and rude.
The biggest concern that i am having that this executive who came to my house played very smart by telling all false story and convincing me to make payments. And when i called him up after the case was not into his hands to tell him that he has cheated me he became furious and shouted on me that for customers like me this is the only way to get treated.
The details for this person is as follows:
Name - Gagan
Cell number - [protected]
Agency name and location - somwhere in South Delhi.
I would request you to please hear all the call recording for my case and look into it.
As promised i am ready to pay the outstanding amount of 3300 INR anytime this month provided the bank issues my a final letter along with the NOC.

I am still getting phone calls from the Gurgaon branch (infinity towers) from recovery agents asking me to pay my minimum monthly payments. I have escalated this issue by mail to the SBI customer feedback mailbox but nobody is coming forward to help me out with this regards. It's been more than one year that i have stopped using the card and inspite of telling this to SBI to close my case i have been getting harassed by the recovery agents for the last 10 months now. I have done into mental depression because of this and i want this to get sorted out as soon as possible.

I beg you to please help me out.

SBI Credit Card — Unprofessional behaviour & False Promises

Dear sir/madam,

I am writing this for my SBI Card. From the day I have got the card I kept paying the amount due on due date then also they card late fee which I have informed them and they credited in next month. I got admitted in Hospital on July, 07 for my Spine Operation and got operated thrice by which I could not pay some dues in time for which they charged the late fees. From month of December, 2007 I am trying to settle the card and got promisses from them they I should pay the minimum due and they will send their executive for the settlement. But till today no representative came. Till today I have been paying minimum due and got assurance for the settlement. But now have been informed the collection caller that the BANK has stoped the settlement. Though I am sick I visited their Andheri Collection office on 28th April, 08 but found that they have shifted their office to mahim. I have got again call today and informed they I have to pay the full amount as their bank is not giving any settlement. I don't know what to do. Kindly suggest. I am going to visit their Mahim office on Monday 5th April, 08.

Kindly help.

Thank you,

Vinod Vishwakarma

SBI Credit Card — false promises

we get calls from the credit card companies for making credit cards but when we apply for them then there is no one (not even the one who collected the forms) who follows up with the customer.if they are unable to do verifications its their fault.they put the blame on the customers for their carelessness.

SBI Credit Card — Bank giving False promises

As a own SBICard for last three years used to pay monthly dues either minimum or above that without fail. But last four months before i had issue with SBI banking for extra taxes and interest charges. Raised an issue where i was not getting proper reply from SBI so didnt pay two months due wantedly only then some one stated as manager spoke to me after several attempts. Also my card got expired by last feb2008, then i havent received my renewal card yet. Then manager Mr.Sathish told we would reverse late payment fee charges for two months & get back with interest charges. Then he asked me to pay the due amount by that he would reverse the same. After making payment they never reversed the fee. When contacted phone banking they told me to pay total due amount by that i would get a renewal card & activation for the same. Assuming they would activate paid nearly Rs.40000 outstanding on my card where my card limit Rs.75000. After getting payment now they say sorry card cannot be activated or renewal card cannot be sent. I was shocked to hear this on top of it they told this current month charges are Rs.229.19 and requested me to pay the same. That was totally attrorious because i also asked them for account closure. Then they told we will not send any letters because we have not closed your account, if want you can cancell the same. Then immediately i cancelled my account and claimed for a letter. So readers of this email please be aware of SBICARD. I am glad & happy that i was out from credit card trap. Now question is "will there be any problem for me in future or will i be blacklisted as i cancelled my card"

With regards,
Hemnath
