[Resolved]  State Bank of India — cheque not cashed

i have visited state bank of india ambernath(mumbai) branch with cheque of my father rs 7000 pay:self ...or bearer i was told we wont cash cheque bcoz its self and ur father have to cash personaly, i urgued as its pay :self or BEARER also then there is no problem making payment to me please let me know is that rule to stop payment if self (account holder) is not present to stop payment after mentioned pay self or BEARER thanx anil sachdev saving account number [protected] ambernath branch mobile:[protected]
