[Resolved]  State Bank of India (Express Remit) — non attendance toward customers

I intented to send $100 to india to my brother. So i choose SBI express remitt,and registered online in the site.Unfortunately i mentioned my brothers account name wrong in the sbi website.They cut the amount from my US account and displayed transaction approved. The money niether retuned to US nor remitted in india. I have made several calls and put 100's of emails about money since i was in great need of it.But they dint reply and even they dint treat me well(unattended towards customer).

Its been a long time (12months). I have luanched a complaint on banking ombuddsman in reserve bank of india to sue the SBI. my brother faced a lot of problems lack of money.

the SBI should be punished for its recklessness.

I am working in Dubai for Dubai metro project. My native is Kumta Karnataka state. I have read the rules for opening an NRI account in SBI in any branch, as per this I have sent all scanned copy of application form filled to Kumta branch (Branch code 0865, Email -sbi.[protected]@sbi.co.in). And I sent DD from Dubai to my wife and she will submit to bank. But bank manger is not accepting the DD and they are telling my application form should reach by hand and signed by Indian embassy. In your NRI service information not at all written regarding Indian embassy signature. I came to know that my friend in Sirsi branch (Karnataka state) they are not asked for this, and he got account open. Please do the needful.

SBI bank which is in Kumta (Karnataka) has received my application and told me that it will get activated in 24 hours or in 7 days. My internate banking not yet activated. Its all ready[protected].
