I have relocated from Mumbai to Bengaluru in April 2010 and intimated the address change request to Tata cards via email on 29th April 2010 and was reverted on 3rd May 2010 that the records have been updated.
I have made payment of Rs.45000 on 29th April 2010 for the amounts due and the cheque was returned by the Bank on 4th May 2010 due to technical reasons. The collection agent called me on 5th May 2010 and forced me to pay Rs.45000 again and assured me that the returned cheque would be sent to my residential address. Unfortunately, both the cheques got presented and monies drawn out of my account. While I pressed for refund of Rs.45000 paid second time, they claimed that my address change request sent on 29th April 2010 is pending and until that is sorted out they would not refund the money.
Various follow ups by mail and phone is of no use and still on 7th June 2010 I have not got my amount refunded. I have been put under severe financial burden due to the above amount held up and the kind of mental torture I have undergone can't be expressed in words. I had to borrow from my relatives for honouring the EMIs due on 10th May 2010 and for daily expenses.
I sincerely pray that your organization would help me in getting the refund and teach a lesson to the bureaucracy of Tata credit card by levying a penalty of atleast 100 times the amount to be refunded. Please help me.
