[Resolved]  TATA Indicom Photon Plus Complaints — How Tata Indicom cheats Photon Plus customers

I have just bought photon+ in the month of 23rd May ’2009 got activated on 24th May 2009 with 950 Tariff Plan. (i.e. I get free usage of 2 GB during Day time ( 7 am to 10.59 pm) & 10 GB during Night time (11 pm to 7 am). The service engineer came to my place and installed along with Huawei Access Manager which includes Internet Usage Meter. Other means of keeping the track of Internet Usage Meter is through official web site http://www.tataindicom.com -> My Account -> Internet Usage Meter (day-wise). The third way is calling up Customer service to know the current usage meter. Assuring the best service will be provided by Tata Indicom. The billing period is from 5th May to 4th June of the month.

The first couple of bills found that they have been charged me more than what I have used. When I complained to concern department, they where very harsh and convinced me that is the final bill amount and have to pay immediately. They where very aggressive with their statement & finally I have to pay more.

Doing little bit of R&D in my system, I found that there is log file maintained by their software (Huawei Access Manager) which has complete details of date, starting time, ending time duration, upload & download usage units etc. I then imported this file into Excel file to do analysis on it. When I compared with the detail bill given by them and found lots of discrepancies in their figures.

I started marinating 3 different day-wise usage meter. First one is from the Usage Meter available in my system which was generated Huawei Access Manager. Second one is from their web-site http://www.tataindicom.com (day-wise Usage Meter) and the Third one is the figures from the Customer Service, Billing dept.

During fourth month (5th Aug – 5th Sep) the 3 different day-wise usage meter was maintained as mentioned above, along with the screen shots of web Usage Meter taken frequently.
This time I received the shocking bill on 7th with the bill amount of Rs. 9743/- instead of Rs. 1048/-. I took the item-wise details bill and compared it with other 3 figures; amazingly I found the following discrepancies in the bill.
a. The bill has supposed to be starting from 5th of Aug, they have bill from 23rd July, 13 days extra.
b. Huge difference in no o[censored]nits in the bill compared with all 3 above mentioned analysis report.
c. They have billed for the days which I haven’t used & some of the days which I haven’t event switched on my system.
d. I took the figures of 13 extra days (27th Jul to 4th Aug) & compared with the last months item-wise bill which was send by them. To my amazing discovery I found that they where not similar figures. Huge difference in the figures.

Similar discrepancies where found in my previous Bills also

The above discrepancies prove that they are charging extra money all these days for which is not been used by me.
Secondly the internet meter which they are using is unauthenticated.
They where cheating me all these months.

Despite contacting the head office too, and giving a request. NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN BY THE COMPANY.

To all Photon Plus users: Do similiar Analysis which I have done. You can also find lots of discrepancies in your bill too. STOP paying excess amount.

TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Cheating in Service

I have purchased new Tata Indicom Photon+ BB service (950Plan) on 2nd June. I am eligible to use free 2GB download during day time & 10GB free download during night time. Within first 5 days of service, my connection barred, saying that I have exceeded the my credit limit. My credit limit is 1500 INR. As they are claiming, I didn't receive any SMS alert or mail to inform the usage limit. But I have received bill on 22nd June for 5215 Rupees. The disconnected period is 8th June to 19th June. That means the BB service is active only from 2nd June to 7th June (6 Days). I can realise that they have not calculated my free downloadable size. Its like cheating in their service. No use of calling customer care service, as they are keep on forwarding the calls to different department/people -- hide and seek game. Junk service and support. In Tata Indicom's my account page, there is no day wise usage detail from 2nd June to 6th June. But for June 7th, they mentioned 3GB usage, which I have not used on that day!! I believe that 3GB is from 2nd June to 7th June ( for 6days), not for only 7th June!!! Don't know who will help me to resolve this issue.

photon+ (TATA INDICOM) — CHEATING

On purchasing this product (photon+ no.[protected]), the agent (Mr.DAMAN ,a turban boy from NEW FREINDS OFFICE OF TATA INDICOM), made these following promises to me:

1.Surfing or browsing is Unlimited.
2. U can convert this no. into SIM card.
3. U can Deactivated the services when u want, BUT HE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT REACTIVATION CHARGES OF Rs. 500/- FOR PUCHASING NEW NO. AGAIN.

Now i want my money back becoz after using the product, all 3 contents found wrong by me. I DUPED BY TATA INDICOM .They are not giving my money back i.e.Rs.3600/-.

TATA Indicom — Unnecessarily charging my account though i have not using their services past 7 months

My Tata Indicom Service No is [protected], I have not used their service for 7 months and they have been charging my account with dues. I moved to USA and before moving I cleared all the dues and asked the collection executive to cancel my account, which he assured he will but that never happened.....after 2 months a new bill was generated with late fees added to it. Then they started harrasing my parents if you will not clear the dues this and that will happen.....so inorder to avoid that my father again paid the dues and like before he was assured this time too that the a/c will be closed.....but that never happened...again they sent a bill with dues........I have paid 4000/- for not using their service at all. If any one will look into the record they will find that I never used their service for more than 7 months and have been paying the dues...I would sincerely request the consumer rights forum to look into this matter and help me getting back the dues which I paid for no service used and also the harrasement thses customer executive do when they called my parents.

TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Improper Service

Dear Sir/Madam,
I’m writing this last email to summarize the services and customer
care rendered to me by Tata Indicom for their photon+ product in last
couple of month.
1. I am using Mobile GPRS on my PC which provide enough speed to
browse email etc. I had searched lots of broadband service and
considered photon+ for my broadband needs.
2. It was informed to me that photon+ works on the Hi Speed Internet
Access Net which available 24 hours and delivers upto 3.1 Mbps
bandwidth.
3. Now when I approached customer care, it was informed that it is
only connectivity speed and actual speed available is fluctuate
between 256 Kbps to 600 Kbps. It shows how false product promotion is
being done.
4. Before subscribing phton+, I was confirmed by customer care that
there is no signal problem in Delhi NCR. However if there is, it will
be resolved by the dedicated team of technical engineers.
5. I asked about the unlimited tariff plan but none was available in
Phton+. Thus I opted 1GB @650 plan.
6. Since day one of subscribing I was, facing the bandwidth problem. I
was unable to browse Google homepage or even connect to Network
whenever I required mostly in morning and evening.
7. I had registered the complaint through my web account against which
I had received calls from customer care and inform that some
additional device will be installed. But no one had turn up.
8. When I checked the status of my complaint in September I come to
know there is no record of my complaint in my web account.
9. Again I had register the complaint through me web account and
through email also. The thread of correspondence is attached herewith.
10. I come to know that Tata has introduced the unlimited plan @950
with cap of 5GB after which speed will be reduced. My usage was
increasing for which Customer care had informed on asking that some
updater software consumes the usage. Thus I opted [protected]@950.
11. After activation of this plan I received the sms that my usage is
limited to 5GB than charges will be applicable as per tariff.
12. I’m surprised and contact customer care, and same was confirmed to
me that there is no unlimited plan.
13. Than I captured the web image about the plan which is attached herewith.
14. During this my credit limit which was set to 2500/- has crossed
and my account was put to inactive.
15. I have contacted to customer care and I asked to get in touch with
Team Leader of Customer care. But I was informed that lines are busy
and put a call back request and advise me that I’ll receive the call
within three hours. I’m not sure whether this call back request is
open or closed. But I haven’t received any call.
16. Next day again I approach the customer care and rigid to talk TL.
After a long waiting I come to able to talk TL Mr. Nitish who had
promised to call me within 5 minutes after checking the issue as the
system is working very slow. After 3 hours I had again contact and
approach to Mr. Nitish and come to know that he is still working on my
issue. But the call is still awaited.
17. I had tried to contact Nodal officer and Appellate Authority, But
I’m surprised, either phone remain busy or number not available in
business hours and phone remain unanswered after business hours.
18. I had asked about the steps taken to resolve my problem and
contact details of some of the officials of Tata Photon+ But the mail
was unreplied till yet.
Now my connection is inactive and Tatas are unable to act on any
inactive connection and I’m rigid to pay my bills only after the
resolution of my complaint. I have a simple plea that when I register
my two complaints my connection was active and all of complaints are
closed without my consent. It is not the solution that phone is not
answered. However I’m writing continuous emails. Before photon+ I was
using mobile GPRS, I also used mobile GPRS when phton+ not worked. So
there is no problem to use mobile GPRS when Photon+ is inactive.
I already had spent handsome money on purchase of photon+, there is no
reason for payment defaults as I haven’t use the services of Tatas as
much as I paid. So again I pay my bills only after resolution of
complaint and Tatas are not entitled to bare my services.
I’ll protest in appropriate forum against services rendered by Tatas,
expenses incurred in calling customer care, false advertising and the
harassment caused to me.

Tata Docomo — Bill Discrepancy access bill amount

Hi,

This Hari Ram Singh, I had a Mobile no. that is [protected], my credit limit for this no. was 800/- .
there was some discrepancy in bill amt. for the month of Nov'11 that's why i have not made the payment till now i have received the bill collection call from Docomo but i have refuse to pay because i am asking again and again that how could be my bill amt. beyond to credit limit. my bill amt is 9307/- for the month of Nov while my credit limit was 800/- .after exceeding my credit limit outgoing should be barred which is not happened.

Disconnection harassment

I have requested for disconnection of tata photon plus account ([protected]) for around 6 times. But it is not being done for no reasons . Tata photon plus is total fruad please no one buy it. My life is miserable now
