Your manual and literature state that the LED brake lights do not require replacement since they have a life time guarantee. Hence should one fail, the design make sit impossible to replace the LEDs since they are in a sealed unit. The cost of this unit in Australia is$399.
You may be aware that there has been a problem with Prius brake lights in Australia.
Does Toyota reimburse the cost of the faulty brake light?
My repairer has just informed me that there are no brake lights units available in Australia, and a part has to be sent form Japan.
If the part has a life time guarantee, then it should not fail and a reimbursement would be in order. However, if the design is faulty, $399 + labour is a very expensive way of replacing a brake light.

i purchased toyota altis(KL-4 AA 3999) from ur cochin dealer
i have complaints about them... i purchased this vehicle just before one and half month....there was no problem untill 30th april suddenly on 1st may the a/c was not working and i send the vehicle after booking at the workshop today at 9.am after 2 hours they informed the gas is completely leaked and they cannot deliver the vehicle by today evening.... i talked to the sales people as well as d workshop people and insisted them to deliver the vehicle by today evening incase it is not possible i requested them to send a test drive vehicle through my driver as i need to attend a doctors appointment tomarrow 1st they said not possible and later they said they will try but evening they said they cannot send any vehicle and they have to get confirmation from nippon toyota to rectify the mistake i said this is none of my mistake i must be a manufacturing defect for which nippon toyota is responsible also i said if you caannot rectify the problem they must send another vechicle for my traavel...i you cannot do the same as i asked i do not require the same vehicle at any coast they said you can make any complaint to anybody and they are not bothered this is your dealers treatment please look in to this matter and get me a new vehicle at your cost i dont need the vehilcle that has problem

A new Toyota recall has surfaced, and this time it involves yet another new model. The high-profile automaker is recalling approximately 94,000 2011 Toyota Sienna’s due to a potentially significant issue involving the brake light switch bracket near the parking brake pedal. The cars impacted by the Sienna recall were manufactured before Nov 2010. Toyota Motors has had enough recalls to require them to get a large cash til payday to repair the issues.

Toyota described in a press release that the brake light switch bracket is positioned wrong in relation to the parking brake pedal. This is why the Sienna recall had to happen. The parking brake can come into contact with the brake light switch physically when fully deployed. This can cause the switch to malfunction possibly with bending. Toyota described the brakes could become engaged due to the warped bracket if the damage is sufficient as the brake lights sometimes stay on even if the brakes are not going. Later, brake drag can take place. This can cause brakes to be impaired completely.



The brake light switch bracket problem hasn’t brought on any accidents that Toyota is aware of yet. It is possible that at any time, the issue might be an issue with impaired breaking.


Any Toyota Sienna drivers will get first class postal mail sent to them as notification. The middle of January, 2011, is when Toyota plans to start sending this mail. The letter will explain what Sienna drivers should do. It will include instructions. The recall section of Toyota’s site will also have this details on it.



Details on how to replace parts for the brake light switching bracket will be sent in Late February. Sienna owners ought to expect first class mail with this too. THE ACOUSTIC AND SOUND INSULATION IS VERY POOR.

PICK UP AND FUEL CONSUMPTION AVERAGE IS NOT SATISFACTORY.

IT SEEMS THAT TOYOTA JAPAN HAS NEVER TESTED THIS CAR ON THEIR OWN ROADS AND THEY INTRODUCE THIS CAR IN INDIA FOR TESTING AND TRIALS. SO IF THERE IS PROBLEMS THAN THEY WILL IMPROVE OR RECTIFY THE MISTAKES LATER AND LAUNCH IT ,WORLD WIDE.

I NEVER EXPECTED THAT BRAND LIKE TOYOTA WILL INTRODUCE SUCH A POOR QUALITY CAR IN INDIA.

NOW I FEEL THAT TOYOTA HAS TAKEN , INDIA & INDIANS FOR RIDE BY OFFERING POOR QUALITY CAR.

I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS CAR AT ALL.

ALSO MADHUBAN TOYOTA ALSO CHEATED ME BY CHARGING 5850 RUPEES TOWARDS OTHER & ACC CHARGES. WHEN I ASKED THEM ABOUT THIS CHARGES , THEY CONFIRMED TO ME THAT IT IS FOR ACCESSORIES .
THESE ACCESSORIES ARE OF SO POOR QUALITY AND COLOUR , WHICH ALSO SPOILT THE OUT LOOK OF THE CAR. THEY PUT BUMPER PROTECTOR STRIPS ,IN BLACK AND DOOR PROTECTION STRIPS, IN RED AND SILVER WHICH SPOILT THE LOOKS OF CAR.

THEY NEVER GIVE ME THE LIST OF ACCESSORIES AND WITHOUT SHOWING ANY THING TO ME , THEY FITTED ALL THESE ACCESSORIES ON MY CAR .

I TELEPHONED MADHUBAN TOYOTA , BUT THERE IS NO RESPONSE FROM THEIR SIDE. THEY DO NOT EVEN ATTEND THE CALLS. I ALSO MADE COMPLAIN TO TOYOTA INDIA BUT NO RESPONSE SO FAR.

I KNOW THAT NEITHER TOYOTA NOR MADHUBAN TOYOTA IS GOING TO SOLVE ANY OF THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS AS THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED ONCE THE VEHICLE IS DELIVERED TO CUSTOMER.

I AM PUTTING MY REVIEW ON ETIOS ON ALL THE CONSUMER FORUMS AND BLOGS SO THAT EVERY CAR BUYER WILL THINK BEFORE BUYING .

MAY GOD BLESS THEM AND SHOWER SOME WISDOM TO MAKE BETTER CAR.

thank you for responding the mail. i appreciate the steps taken by directing the grace toyota to deliver the goods left at the time of delivery. take the example of number plate do they think that i can run the vehicle without plate for one year , secondly i got the smile package from some other dealer so the same from grace is not required as i am not prepared to send the vehicle to grace in future. The staff is not at all courteous , i had visited the premises twice and both the times it was observed, heated arguments were going with customers.

they had delivered the things only on the pressure of Toyota (i had been calling them several times for the smile pack and no.plate) every time a false promise was made.

Now i would like to know what corrective action has been taken that it is not repeated with other customers as few have the knowledge to fight for their rights. i had already purchased the smile pack
from some other dealer and getting the services done.the smile pack issued by grace is no more required
by me you are requested to get the money involved in total should be refunded.

So I request you to kindly compensate the monetary loss suffered or I have to sue a case for non delivering services even on payment.

I HAD PURCHASED ONE TOYOTA ETIOS ON 11//03/2011. I HAD GONE TO FIT THE CAR COVERS OF THE ETIOS AT THE ACCESSORY SHOP. AS SOON AS THE FITTING PERSON LIFT THE REAR SEAT, THE LOCK BROKE AND STUCK IN THE CHASIS AND THE CUSHION COMES OUT. AS THE LOCK IS PLASTIC ONE AND IT IS PASTED IN THE CUSHION, YOU CAN IMAGINE THE QUALITY WHICH THE TOYOTA IS PROVIDING IN THE ETIOS. I HAD SUBMITTED MY COMPLAINT BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE SO FAR. MY REGISTRATION NUMBER IS DL2CAA 2000 AND I HAD BOUGHT IT FROM GALAXY TOYOTA, MOTI NAGAR.

Being a toyota customer for thirty years,it's a shame that a company the father built is now in the hands of his son, who would not even have of job if it wasn't for his father,now runs it extremely arrogantly,rude and what a joke the slogan is--It's all about you!!!
