This is with deep anguish and dismay that I have to state this incident that took place at Vishal Mega Mart, Mahipalpur Outlet, New Delhi.
Hoping to continue an old and loyal relationship with the retail store, I went shopping an 30 November 2008 to the Mahipalpur Outlet, only to find a very disappointing and disapproving customer service. The Business might not be compromising on the quality of the products but the staff there is compromising there goodwill giving out their worst of behaviour to the customers.
1. I was selecting few coffee mugs and I told them that I would have to select from the lot because the Colour of some mugs was of a LIGHTER shade.
2. I took 7-8 mugs, kept them on a tray and started choosing the ones that matched the best in colour.
3. the Attendent there, namely, YOGESH SHARMA, told me in a stern voice, "Jab itne baar haath lagaoge toh colour toh Fade hoga hi."(If you touch the mugs so many times, the colour will definitely fade)
4. I asked him if there was a problem if I selected the mugs that way, to which he replied with a very RUDE "Yes!"
5. I asked to see the manager, and Yogesh Sharma said, "Main hi hun yahan ka manager, BOL KYA KAREGI?" (I am the Manager myself, Tell me what will you do?)
6. I had to raise my voice a little and he talked to me in the same manner.
7. Irritated and very angry with this kind of behaviour, I explained the situation to the Store Manager, but all he could say was to ask Yogesh to apologise.
8. YOGESH NEVER EVEN APOLOGISED.
This kind of customer service calls for consumer attention. Also, being in the service industry, If the store cannot teach their staff how to speak and treat their customers well, I think they should CLOSE DOWN all their outlets.
I hope you understand that I am free to move to the television media and local and national newspaper to raise this issue in Public at large.
