[Resolved]  Vishal Mega Mart — refusal to exchange a blazer purchased

I purchased a Blazor ( Suit set) for Rs 1197.50 on 17th Jan 2011 at 9:40 PM. I purchased from Mahipal Pur outlet of Vishal Mega Mart. Although I tried there but later at home I found that the blazor was oversized one. I don't know how I could not observe the same at their outlet. None of their attendand were there to assist.

I was to happy to learn at cash counter that I should get 50% discount on that product. Kindly note that nothing was mentioned on the product area. Although somewhere near the entrance they had placed few of the Suit (blazor) and there was a mention of 50% discount on those product. But I purchased from the area where was a big stock without mention of discount.

I purchased many other thing. When I checked the blazor at home I understood that the blazor was not fitting me. So next day I visited their shop to get another one in exchange of the one I purchased. There I faced the surprise. They refused to exchange the product. They slapped me with their rule. The rule was no discounted product is eligible for exchange.

Why a person need a exchange? Question is do they allow exchange ? Yes they do. Only for the product which are not sold on discount. Well, what is the meaning of discount. You allow a discount of 30%. Do anybody know how much you earn form a particular product? If you make 60% profit and allow 30% discount. You still make 30% profit.

Why an exchange is required ? Is it at all required ?

Yes, it is required for apparrel or on fashion clothes. As choice may not fit or a particular selection may not be a better choice. That is the reason they allow exchange. Not only they most of the store dealing on textile product allow exchange in condition that they get their product as it is.

I was denied an exchange. Neither I was allowed to take some other thing in exchange of that product.

This is just injustice. This is cheating.
How can a store deny their product before 24 hrs.

Should a store be allowed to do a business with this type of cheating attitude. They just want to through product on the head of a innocent customer.

Is there any chance that my product shall be exchanged or I shall be allowed any other product from their store of teh same vaule?
