West Style Furniture — Poor quality & Poor service

I bought a sofa 2 months back. Initially the cloth was not stitched properly was loosely lying around. After calling them many times may be more than 10 and shouted at them, they came and fixed it though it was not proper, I managed with it. One single seater cushion was not good. Stiches started to worn out. I again called them up and told the quality and they told that they will come and fix it . I agreed to that and waited for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks they didn't turn up, . Even after 3 weeks they didn't turn up. My energy is getting waste on calling this dealer.

I'm thinking of giving complaint in Consumer Court.

I totally agree with your complaint. I have the same problem with the sofa set which I bought from the same dealer not knowing about their genuinity. I booked the sofa set when they participated in the Chennai Trade Centre exhibition last year. After booking they took my life out to deliver the sofa set. It took about 3 months to deliver. Within 3 months the outer layer of the leather started pealing off. I tried making phone calls. All the numbers in the bill given were either switched off or not working. Finally I got hold of one Mr.Prabhu, who is supposed to be the service engineer who has no respect, never bothered to turn up after contacting him over 100 times in 2 months. Mr.Suman who claimed to be the owner, is not all available to answer any calls. I never read all the complaints and I never knew about this fraud company, who boldly have stalls in all the Fairs conducted in Chennai Trade Centre. If anybody has any contact no. of them either of madras or bombay office please let me know. The address given in the bill 100A, butt road, guindy, chennai. is a bogus address and could not be found at all. All the phone nos. are bogus, temproary, and bogus nos. How to raise complaints? please advise.

I have the same experience. I purchased a sofa set from them last year and because there are some stitching issues, I have been trying to call these fellows. Initially, no one ever picked the phone and even if they did, they politely gave some inane reasons for not responding. Then, I found that they have shifted their office from Butt Road to somewhere in Velacheri and none of their phone numbers works. I don't know where their office is now. I am planning to go to the furniture fair in Chennai today and get hold of these guys.

wE REQUEST THE AUTHORITIES ORGANISING SUCH EXHIBITIONS TO BAN SUCH COMPANIES IN PARICIPATING IN THE EXHIBITIONS ELSE PUBLIC VISITING THE EXHIBITION WILL NOT HAVE FAITH IN THE EXHIBITIONS

I do agree with everyone here. I too have the same problem with my sofa...The outer layer of the sofa is peeled off and the condition looks very bad within 2 years. I contacted the numbers in the receipt but no reply. Then I went to butt road to visit this guy but unfortunately I could not find this store in the specified address (100A BUTT ROAD, ST THOMAS MOUNT). I came to know from the guy who is running a ready made clothes store in the same address that they have closed the store in chennai. Does anyone know the whereabouts of this guy? Please let me know. I am wondering how these sort of fradulent shops are admitted into the exhibitions.
