[Resolved]  West Style Furniture — Do not buy from this company

Hello All,

I too bought a MEGA Sofa from this dealer from the exhibition held at Kanteerava Indoor stadium on 10-Dec-06 (booked), which was delivered on 10-Jan-07.

While giving the display these people seems to be too good with prompt promises. They promised of 10 years warranty, but when the delivery was done there was no Warranty card.

After using for a long 1 year the stiches are getting removed, the uppper layer of the sofa is getting removed. I am calling there numbers many times but the phone numbers are invalid nor they will be switched off.

Really NO BODY SHOULD VISIT THE EXHIBITION NOR BOOK THE PRODUCTS HERE.

I am really frustrated, dont know wht needs to be done. I know i have been cheated a big amount of Rs.15000/- for a MEGA 3 Seater SOFA.

Plz help me!!!

I filed a complaint in consumer court and got the orders against west style...it took just 200 Rs for affidavits etc + time
it was a tedious process to attend the sessions but nobody from west style turned up ...and finally the judge ordered to return the money or the sofa

the orders were sent to them ...then also they didnt care to reply..
but now i am going to re appeal for implementation and it could result into stringent legal action for not obeying the court orders...

I suggest you do the same...you dont even need to hire a lawyer...in consumer court, you can handle your own case..

or maybe if you know others who are having same problem with the company, form a group and hire a laywer divide expenses...

West style should be taught a lesson

this west sytle s really a cheat.. v were about to buy a 8 seater sofa from this dealer. these complaints really helped in not buying this sofa from this dealer..
PEOPLE BEWARE DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM WEST STYLE
they usually put stalls in exibition only ... the way they talk and products that they display ll be very impressive but atlast v ll be the loser, , ,

But there is no company at the place of address which he gave.
We are having a tough time.

I am the one who filed consumer case against West Style. As they didnot respecte the court's order we have again filed the execution petition against them, and they can even be arrested if needed.

I have been to the their factory at rajaji nagar, its a garage kind of space and true itdoe not match to what they showcase at the fairs. they are cheaters...

what was the address given to you by the company. I have few numbers.. i hope these work.. or you make even go to kanteerva (they r having a exhibition at present) and get owner's number.

I bought a sofa set for Rs.20K from west style not knowing their geniunity and I have the same problem with the sofa.I booked the sofa set when they participated in the Chennai Trade Centre exhibition last year. After booking they took my life out to deliver the sofa set. It took about 3 months to deliver. Within 3 months the outer layer of the leather started pealing off. I tried making phone calls. All the numbers in the bill given were either switched off or not working. Finally I got hold of one Mr.Prabhu, who is supposed to be the service engineer who has no respect, never bothered to turn up after contacting him over 100 times in 2 months. Mr.Suman who claimed to be the owner, is not all available to answer any calls. I never read all the complaints and I never knew about this fraud company, who boldly have stalls in all the Fairs conducted in Chennai Trade Centre. If anybody has any contact no. of them either of madras or bombay office please let me know. The address given in the bill 100A, butt road, guindy, chennai. is a bogus address and could not be found at all. All the phone nos. are bogus, temproary, and bogus nos. How to raise complaints? please advise

Have also bought the sofa last year in Chennai trade centre. Same problem. The outer layer is peeling off. Unable to catch hold of them.

Does filing consumer case helped? I bought sofa for 19K in chennai trade centre last year. Within 6 months the outer layer is peeling off. I couldn't catch hold of them.
