I AM A POLICY HOLDER VIDE NO 07132205 IN THE NAME OF MY WIFE SUSHAMA GOSWAMI. BY PROFESSION I AM DEPUTY MANAGER OF STATE BANK OF INDIA. ALL THROUGH THE DAY I REMAIN BUSY WITH MY CUSTOMERS FOR WHICH I NEVER GOT ANY CHANCE TO VISIT YOUR LOCAL OFFICE ABOUT WHICH I ALWAYS PERISH VERY GOOD IDEA. HAVING RECEIVED A SMS FOR IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF PREMIUM OF THE ABOVE POLICY, I DECIDED TO VISIT THE LOCAL OFFICE AT AGARTALA. I JUST WRITEEN A CHEQUE FOR RS.20,000 BUT I FORGOT IN WHOSE NAME THE POLICY WAS TAKEN. SO I TOOK DECISION TO VISIT THE BRANCH AT LEAST FOR FIVE MINUTES AND TELL SOMEBODY ABOUT THE FACT SO THAT HE CAN TAKE CARE OF THE CHEQUE FOR LINKING TO CORRECT POLICY HOLDER. AND ALSO TO TAKE A NEW POLICY. IT WAS 21ST JANUARY,2009.INSTEAD OF GETTING WARM RECEPTION, I WAS PROHIBITED BY THE GUARD FROM GOING INSIDE. SOMEBODY FROM INSIDE ALSO INSTRUCTED ME TO SIT OUTSIDE AND MAINTAIN A QUE FOR TALKING TO HIM. HAVING GOT SUCH A RECEPTION, I WAS SURPRISED THAT THESE THINGS ARE GOING ON IN A PRIVATE OFFICE WHERE CUSTOMERS ARE NOT GOING TO GET ANY FAVOUR RATHER THIS IS A FAVOUR OF A CUSTOMER TO THE OFFICE WHILE HE VISITS THE SAME. I COULD NOT PROHIBIT ME FROM EXPRESSING MY DISSATISFACTION ABOUT THE SYSTEM AND UNKNOWINGLY UTTERED SOME WORDS OF DISSATISFACTION. THEN THE VERY GENTLEMAN CAME OUT FROM INSIDE (WHOSE BODY LANGUAGE WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH) AND FURTHER ADVISED ME IN RUDE LANGUAGE TO MAINTAIN QUE. I JUST WANTED TO CONVINCE HIM THAT MY MATTER IS VERY PRETTY AND IF I AM FORCED TO MAINTAIN A QUE, THEN I SHALL BE IN ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT IN MY OFFICE ANOTHER LONG QUE WILL BE FORMED DUE TO MY ABSENCE. IN RESPONSE THE GENTLEMAN'S REPLY WAS "WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING" AND HE LEFT. ULTIMATELY I CAME TO KNOW THAT THE GENTLEMAN WAS NONE OTHER BUT "THE CUSTOMER CARE OFFICER" OF AGARTALA BRANCH OF ICICI PRUDENTIAL LIFE INSURANCE, AGARTALA BRANCH.
THIS IS MY EARNEST REQUEST THAT THE BRANCH SHOULD BE SUITABLY ADVISED TO CHANGE THEIR SYSTEM WHERE CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE MADE TO WAIT OUTSIDE RATHER THERE SHOULD BE SOMEBODY TO RECEIVE A CUSTOMER WHO INTENDS TO VISIT THE PREMISES. HOWEVER,SO FAR EXPERIENCE I HAVE GATHERED, I AM NOT TAKING ANY MORE CHANCE TO VISIT THE BRANCH AGAIN AND NOT TO REFER ANY NEW CUSTOMER AS IN THE PRESENT CHALLENGING MARKET SCENARIO SO MANY COMPANIES ARE THERE WHO ARE READY ATLEAST TO WELCOME THEIR CUSTOMERS.
