Emirates — compensation for mistreatment

Hope you are doing well. Please note that i am filing this complaint, as i did not receive any response to my earlier complaint with airline.

During my journey dated on 24 jan 2019 from mumbai to toronto via dubai, i had very bad and frustrating experience with emirates airline.

I was travelling to toronto from mumbai today on the documents issued by government of canada (Work permit + temporary resident visa). Emirates ground staff allowed me to board the flight in mumbai to dubai. However, dubai authorities denied me to board the flight to toronto sighting the reason that the document i was carrying is not enough to board the flight to toronto. Moreover, emirates also denied my right to speak to canadian immigration authorities to address my concerns. Due to this reason, i had very frustrating experience as my wife had to travel with my 3.5-year-old daughter and elderly mother to toronto without leaving me behind.

My main concern is that if emirate authorities told us about insufficiency of our documents or at least raised a concern at mumbai airport itself, we could have contacted canadian immigration / canadian embassy to clear the doubts so that my family had not to travel like this without me.

In addition, emirates mistreated me at the dubai airport and emirates officials took away passport and other documents.

Considering loss of pay i had to face and the mistreatment i received from emirates airlines, i would like to claim a compensation of c$ 5000.
