I raised a complaint on 9 Nov 2022 about a dead battery. Nobody wants to service it if my battery is still under warranty. The agent has been forcing me to buy another battery. I am worried and distressed at this blatant unfair business practice of coercing a customer to buy a battery. For 8 days now, the agent has been asking me to buy another battery and I have refused. I hope this is a disorderly agent and does not reflect a brand like Exide.
Soundhar A called me from [protected] and agreed to send an agent the same day. A field agent, Srinivasa called me from[protected] and asked for a photo of my battery and because I said it is within warranty, he came only the next day after reminder calls. Without checking the battery, he suggested buying another battery as it is more than two years old. He refused to accept the online warranty card and agreed only after I demanded to know why.
He called me later and said the battery is weak so I need to buy a new battery, I refused and asked him to recharge and bring it. The next day when I call he is suggesting he'll give me a 50% discount to buy another battery. It has been 8 days since I refused and he has not brought my battery back and I am forced to travel by cab. I am now scared that he'll tamper with the battery to force me to buy another one.
