This is regarding exorbitant school fees collected by Gateway International school, Padur, Kazhipattur.
Wanted to bring to your attention that during covid,
school campus was shut
school has sent away many staffs
school has paid only 65% to 70% fees to teachers
school has conducted only 3 periods from morning 9 to 12pm for kids
and collecting 100% fees
Worst part is they are also collecting fees by cash. Not sure whether they are accounting for tax
When asked them why they are going against the government directive to collect only 75% fees, they are mentioning that most parents are IT and can pay.
The school is absolutely irresponsible and enjoying 100% profit . Many parents are struggling to pay.
Many schools in OMR are looting from parents in the name of school fees.
Request your attention to regulate school fees similar to city schools and not levy huge amounts to parents. Fees is increasing year by year and causing increasing stress to parents
