Hero Cycles — purchase of the cycle

I bought a hero sprint rx 1 (With gear and disc break). Then, i asked about the lasting of the gears, and the avaibility of a replace. But, the shopkeeper denied and said that once the gear is damaged, it cannot be repaired or even ain't be replaced as the company does not send gears or disc break. They didn't give any warranty also. So, what is the security of buying these cycles. I bought the cycle from agarwal stores, balurghat. Please take action.
