regarding extra charges by saying it as penalty

I was not be able to pay 2 to 3 installments and after that i paid all the installments in just one pay but the finance company is still demanding more money up to 13000 rs by saying it is penalty charges, bank charges etc. So my concern is if i had already paid the remaining due installments in just one pay and i can also pay the remaining amount also in one time payment than why the company adding this extra charges....
