[Resolved]  HP India — Complaint Agaist supply of HP240 model laptops

Dear Sir, We would like to bring to your notice on a peculiar transaction from one of your Channel partner in Vijayawada M/s.Digital World. We have more than 500 equipments of HP brand products like desk tops, laptops, printers, servers and scanners, through out our factory, office in Samalkot, H.O in Mumbai, Morbi Gujarat office and other regional sales and accounting offices. 1)We have placed an order no. LP1-23430 dated[protected] against Digital world offer no. DW/VJA/Quote no.007 dated 06.01.2014 for 8 laptops model no. HP Probook 450 with 3 years warranty, they quoted Rs.47, 707.00 and reduced to Rs.44, 990.00 during negotiation. 2)The delivery agreed was supply within 1 week of P.O. 3)On 17th of January we received a mail from HP Mr.Ram ASM, Commercial, attaching a letter saying HP probook 450 is replaced with HP240, also 240 comes with more stable platform with better expandability. Here we found Mr.M.Ram is not the concerned person for computers, he is working as ASM in Imaging and Printing group in Hyderabad office. 4)We agree to the proposal and cleared them to supply HP240 which is as per your office more superior than HP450 probook. 5)To our surprise the supply is made in series of HP240 and invoice submitted by channel partner Digital world is with the description HP450. This has made us some suspicion and accepted the delivery due to urgency of the product. Here your channel partner has made big mistake by giving invoice of HP450 and physically supplying HP240. We like to know why your channel supplied made invoice of all these 8 pieces in model HP450 and supplied physically in HP240. We have no doubt it is not a superior to HP450, it is an obsolete model probably discontinued by HP India due to frequent customer complaints. 6)These all the eight pieces started giving trouble in working on the very first day, two of them dead and no power coming, remaining 6 have touch pad hand and cursor hiding often. Our repeated complaints you’re your office and supplier, representative came from Rajahmundry and assessed problems with each of the laptops. Card changed in one case, after so many correspondence and persuasion agreed to replace the dead one, all the other six is having regular problems, the Executives using these 7 laptops are unable to work peacefully because of frequent problems. 7)Your office Mr.Srinivas (Hydrabad office) agreed to replace one laptop which is dead out of 8 pieces supplied, we have given the dead laptop to your channel partner on 22nd of Aug, 14, till today we have not received replacement. The staff who used this deffective laptop is struggling for the last 3 months without a laptop. 8)We are using so many HP450 probook series including me without any problem for years. We have decided not to buy any more LAPTOPs and Desktop of HP brand any more in our organization, we have not purchased any HP model computer in last six months, we have switched over to other brands, due to an-unsatisfactory resolution on a genuine problem we raised with your office and channel partner. We want you to investigate the invoice matter (copy of the invoice is attached for your reference). These computers were supplied with three year warranty. We do not understand how warranty is valid when your channel partner produced a wrong invoice, product itself is different, may in the shadow of three year warranty. We want from you to replace all the 8 laptops with HP450 with three year fresh warranty, till such time RAK will boycott all your equipments. We request you to respond to this mail at the earliest.
