I am an owner of Hyundai i20( KL 22 F 120).
On July 13th my car was found with some missing problem and so I phoned road side assistance from Popular Hyundai and one technician arrived and checked the vehicle. He was unable to find the mistake and asked me to take the vehicle to their service centre and I did the same. As the time was 7pm no technicians were available.14th morning they checked the vehicle and told me that the problem occurred due to the increased engine oil. They told me that they could clear the problem only after repairing the engine. I told the technicians that the engine oil was last changed on Feb 2015 and also the vehicle had completed more than 7000 – 8000Kms. Now the service technician told me that if the engine oil is high it will get reflected after so many Kms only. So I was not willing to do the service there as the engine oil was changed by Hilton Hyundai on Feb 2015 and no other engine oil changes had been done after that. Also due to Hilton’s mistake I don’t want to spent money from my side. So I called Hilton and told the problems and asked them to take the vehicle from Popular Hyundai to clear the issue. But the adviser behaved very roughly towards me and told me that they are not responsible for anything and they won’t do anything regarding this issue. He told that last time I took the vehicle to Pothens for some bumper work and so he asked me to take the vehicle to Pothens Service centre. Also I called the Service Manager (Hilton) and told the problem. He too behaved in the same manner as the adviser and he told me to do whatever I like and they are not responsible for this. But I know very well that I dint changed the oil at Pothens or from any other service centers. It was Hilton only who changed the oil. When I told the issue to the advisor he told me that there won’t be any problem even though the oil is high. But both Pothens and Popular told that if the oil is high it may cause this type of issue.
Hilton Hyundai did not take the vehicle from there and so I asked Popular to keep the vehicle there for one more day. But one executive from Popular was not willing to do the same .He told me that they could keep the vehicle there only if they do the work otherwise no matter no matter anything happens they won’t keep the vehicle there. The executive behaved as he had some personal grudge against me due to some service problem that arrived earlier. So I called Regional Office and told all the problems. At that day I did not get any call or anything. Instead the next day I got a call from Vishnu (CRM Popular) saying that they had a call from Regional Office and they had asked to do the service there itself and to clear all the issues asap. So I asked him to be responsible for everthing that happens to my car from that time and he agreed. I asked him when will I get the vehicle back and he promised to deliver the vehicle within 10 Days.
On 27th July I mailed to Customer relations mentioning that I dint get the vehicle even after 12 days. In that I clearly mentioned that I have hired a car for my own use and so I need the payment for that. On 28th I got a call from Vishnu saying that they cant do any payment for the car which I have hired. At that time his way of talking was not fair towards me. He told me that they will surely deliver the vehicle by 31st July. Unfortunately I dint get the vehicle on 31st. So I called Regional Office and told all the problems. I asked her (Deva Prabha) to give the number of Regional Head but she was not willing to do the same. So I asked her to arrange a call from him to me. But till this date I did not get any call from Regional Office. Also in my mail I mentioned for a call back from Hyundai directly and not from the dealers. I did not get any call or reply from Hyundai also. I contacted customer care also many times regarding the issue but everything was the same only. Again on 3rd August I called Vishnu and now he told me that some more parts has to arrive and so he will surely deliver the vehicle on 7th August. I waited till 8th July. But I did not get ant reply from Vishnu or Popular Team. So I again called Regional Office Cochin and once again reported the same issue. She behaved very badly towards me. She dint even tell a word regarding the vehicle instead kept silent for more than 15 minutes. She is in such a manner that ‘you do whatever you can but nothing is going to happen to us regarding your complaint’.
On 10th August Vishnu again contacted a told me that they will deliver the vehicle on 11th or 12th August. I waited till 13th August and mailed to Customer Relations mentioning the issues caused but did not get any reply from anyone. I again mailed on 14th August mentioning the same issue but the thing was the same only. Now I was little bit angry and called Regional Office and Deva Prabha told me that they can’t do anything if the dealers disagree to do the compensation or anything like that. She asked me to register a complaint against Popular Hyundai for compensation. So as suggested by Regional Office I had registered the complaint against Popular Hyundai. Even after registering the complaint they were not willing to do the compensation. On 17th morning Vishnu again contacted me and told me that the delay was due to non availability of parts and he agreed to deliver the vehicle on 21st August. On 17th also Vishnu told me that they can’t do any compensation. He also told me that if I want anything more than that go with Regional Office or anyone and he can’t do anything more than that. But when I called the Regional office they are saying that they can’t do anything regarding the issue.
I trusted the Brand Hyundai but what I got in return was really pathetic. Don’t treat a customer like this anymore. Till this date I did not get my vehicle or even a call from any higher authorities enquiring on the problem. I think the Regional office at Cochin is really useless.
Again from that day I contacted customer care but did not get any reply from anyone. On 27th morning I called customer care and it was after that call I got a call from the Service Manager Popular Hyundai. This was for the first that he contacted me since my vehicle was at the service centre. He asked what my concern is and he told me pay the rent for the car which I have hired. He also promised me to provide a courtesy car on 31st august. But as usual no reply from anyone even after September 2nd.So I called back and they told me that the Manager resigned the job and so they will check and let me know the details. After that Vishnu again phoned me and told that he will surely arrange the courtesy car by 3rd August. On 4th he told me that they will provide me an Eon which I neglected. I asked him to provide i20 or other higher range cars. He told me that he will check and arrange the vehicle asap. But I don’t know why they don’t promise words. Again I did not get any call from him. Instead I waited and phoned him on 9th September and he told me that he will arrange the vehicle by 10th itself. Also I asked him when will I get the vehicle and he told me that they he will deliver my car before 17th September. But till this time I did not get my vehicle or even the courtesy car.
On 23rd September or 24th I found a caution notice regarding the closure of all Hilton Hyundai Branches. So I called customer care and enquired the details and asked them to arrange a call back from Hyundai representatives other than dealers to call me.
Also now they are not ready to deliver me the rent for all the days. Instead they are saying that they can provide rent for only 15 days.
Now what I want is I want my vehicle back instead I need the compensation from Hyundai. Because it’s not due to my fault the vehicles problem arrived. It was due to the mistake done by your service centre (Both Hilton and Popular). Due to the mistake from your service centre I am suffering.
Before 3-4 months I had the best relationship from Hyundai but really sad to say that it was the worst relationship which I am experiencing now. And also I don’t want to deal with any of the Hyundai Products. I lost all my trust and faith which I was having for Hyundai. Was this information helpful? |
