I am tottally disappointed with the customer experience of a world class company like hyundai motors and hence writting in this complaint.
I visited Hyundai (popular) showroom in Vaikom, Kerala on October 2014. Mr Sankar was the sales person in charge who consulted me.He told that there will be hike in vehicle price in November 2014 so best to book the vehicle(a Hyundai i10 Grand)with token amount Rs 1000, which is totally refundable in case i do not go ahead with the purchase.
I purchased he vechicle from a different dealer so went back to the Popular dealer at Vaikom between[protected] to get the refund. I met Mr .Sanker and also the manager to get my refund of Rs 1000.which they agreed promptly. As per their advice i filled out and submitted a cancelation form along with the orginal receipt for Rs 1000.They both confirmed that the amount will be send to my address mentioned as per the company rule for processing refunds.
To this day i have had no response from the dealer with respect to the refund.I have also tried 4 to 5 times in this regard but he could only postpone by saying initially that the manager is on leave so the refund will have to wait till he returns in a few days.Since no response i called and got through eventually to Mr Sanker only to be told, its only the matter of Rs 1000 and that he will give it from his pocket. After this still i was not able to get the refund from the dealer. I called in which was the last time only to be told the company has increase the booking amount to Rs 3500, so he cant give refund the Rs 1000 which was initially agreed. i tried to get POPULR HYUNDAI but they are also not responding favorably.
I think this is a dealer -wide scam with popular motors to can people off the refundable booking fee they pay . i would have let it go as Rs .1000 may be a meagre amount but the incident is not a one off. The same problem is posted on the internet by a number of people who have been taken for a similar ride, in many places popular Hyundai dealerships.
i request Hyundai to resolve this issue immediately and issue my refund.

I am also same victim from Garve Hyundai Motors, Vadgaon Budruk, Pune. I booked a EON car on 19/06/2015 and deposited Rs.5000/- when the sales person Mr. Sushil Kumar assured me that if in any case I cancelled the booking, the booking amount will be refunded 100%. on 26 due to non sanctioning of loan I apply for refund but the dealer refuse to do so and after so many request the dealer ready to refund only Rs.2000/-. In this case no proceedings or no paper work done at dealer or bank so no charges to be levied, but dealer said that this our policy to cut the amount while refunding the booking amount. I enquired from other dealers but they also informed that no such cutting policy prevailing at any company. Means this is totally cheating from this dealer. I also complaint this to company but no response yet received. I request company to resolve my case immediately and instruct dealer to refund me my Rs.5000/-.
