My name is Sourav. Yesterday i was unable to use my account and today i received an email Status of your SR[protected], Dear Customer, As a precautionary measure, Acct[protected] has been frozen temporarily to prevent misuse. Pls visit branch and submit recent trxn dtls. Since yesterday i was unable to do any transaction with my account.
Immediately called the customer care and asked them to unfreeze the account but they asked me to visit the nearest branch and get it resolved, Now, even after visiting the nearest ICICI branch (Rukmini Gaon branch Guwahati) and providing all the necessary details they were unable to unfreeze my account. They even asked for my local office address and asked for details of my salary account and bank statement for due diligence purposes. I had a talk with the deputy branch manager and bank manager regarding the issue and still clueless why in the first place my account is frozen and the bank authorities were unable to provide any satisfactory answer. Even the bank authorities could not provide any satisfactory reason. To my surprise, they informed me that they cannot unfreeze the account and i needed to submit an application.
I am clueless what to do now; i lost valuable 2 hours of my working time due to this and still the problem is persisting.
