Address: Mumbai City, Maharashtra |
I would like to inform you and your company of the unbelievable and truly disrespectful manner in which an employee Mr. Sangram Pradhan has behaved with us .
We travelled in the indigo flight no 6E 244 from Sardar Vallabhai Patel Airport Ahmedabad to CST Airport at Mumbai on the 2nd of November 2013. (Airline PNR *J369MV* )
My complaint is regarding your employee at the ground staff at the Ahmedabad Airport Mr. Sangram Pradhan (Executive - AO&CS at IntearGlobe Aviation Ltd ) .
We were left stranded after being hospitilised at Lions General Hospital in Mehsana .
And so opted for a indigo flight back to Mumbai to receive better healthcare facilities. All o[censored]s were fit to fly and thereby discharged by the hospital which lies about 75 kilometres away from the Ahmedabad Airport .
We write this complaint against Sangram Pradhan as he dint allow members of our group to board the flight and left them stranded in healthcare conditions that could have deterioted to serious extents. He did so as out of the six passengers four were carrying a id proof while the other two of them, one of which being a senior citizen dint have an id card, and so were ordered by your ground staff employee to get their respective id cards and fit to fly certificates by going back the distance that they had travelled to reach the airport from the hospital and this just to procure their id cards. In healthcare conditions that propelled them to take your services to save precious time, and this being a condition of emergency, he was held responsible by the other members of your ground staff also as his behaviour was equivalent to harassment of women passengers as he inquired way to deep into the medical conditions, to an extent that women should not be quizzed upon . The ones stranded in the cold atmosphere of the airport with no practical knowledge of the airport were left with conditions whose severity were damaging to their health when finally the other staff helped them to clear there boarding of the flight on the same evening.
This behavior of his against us gives us a feeling of being intimidated, harassed and demeaned . We were treated in a highly rude and disrespectful manner.
Harassment in hostile conditions is equivalent to hostage taking and women harassment charges . Any more of this harassment to the passengers just recovered from a fatal casuality condition would have had trouble to a human life.. This is not a reflection on the professionalism, dedication and integrity your ground staff should work with, and more so in dealing with people who at times look up to your carrier for safety and quick services for the matter of reaching a destination is time enough for a human to be given healthcare facilities at the right place . We had rail tickets of Jan Shatapdi available for the same day which would have brought us back to our destination in time much less than that we took because of being stranded at the airport by your groundstaff employee . But opted for indigo just because of its repute as a “on the time” carrier but were left truly disappointed and concerned about the safety of women travelers on your carrier because of such individuals who see their dominance at work place greater than to treat passengers with respect and courtesy. All transportation security officers are held to the highest professional standards and are expected to treat passengers with utmost maturity and as equals .
Regrettably, no organization is immune to acts of misconduct or unprofessional behaviour by a few employees and so we will be highly justified if this employ of yours faces serious action and thereby does not give a badname to a carrier of your magnitude . it made us feel unsafe and insecure dealing with him at the Ahmedabad Airport.
This is not a reflection on the professionalism, dedication and integrity that employees at Indigo must possess
I was in complete shock and anger, and shaken for days by this absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour of an employee of an international airline.
I have never experienced anything like this before, especially not when it happens from a company like Indigo.
I would demand you to inquire about the incident and take the most severe action possible before a court or a commission for women harassment cases and NGOs are approached by us.
