Indigo Airlines — denying boarding

My son on his way to care for sick niece/nephew was denied boarding by @indigoairlines on august 23, 2017 at varanasi airport because he didn’t get there 45 minutes before expected time of departure. He wasn’t late but not 45 minutes before expected time of departure. Aircraft was still there. This way they can rebook for next possible flight which is next day with additional fee which is more than 50% of the original ticket price.

Another time, i was traveling with my family including a 3-year old kid with full fare ticket by spice air. They refuse to give seat to my granddaughter with her mother unless we upgraded to their “comport class” with additional fee. Explanation: we don’t have any seats together.

How a county like india would allow this money grabbing bottom line business model by companies? Unless it’s the government “of the people”, “by the people” but “not for the people”.
