I was travelling to Bangalore from Kolkata on 6th of Jan, morning flight. I reached airport on time and was standing in the long cue. There was no clarity on the checkin counter. I was standing in the long cue before the checking counter. There was no call for checking and I when I reached the counter, they said that it was psot 45 mins and they will not let me checking. It was 5 mins past the 45 minutes deadline and iI repeatedly told them that I was standing in the cue and there was no call from the officials that they are closing the counter for my flight. I repeated begged to let me go as I had a baby with me and my mother in law who is not well and we need to fly to Bangalore. The indigo official, probably the head among all of them, Mr. Tajinder and Mr .Pritam behaved very rudely with me and did not pay any attention to my pleas. Mr. Tajnider was so rude that he kept looking at his computer and talking to his colleagues when I was trying to explain and plead him to let me go. I realised that they have made this a business to not let people board flights, delay them, behave unsympathetically with the passengers and make them book costly tickets for the next flights so that they make more money. I also saw 4-5 more people standing and have gone through the same problem complaining at the counter. And above all, there is no customer friendly behaviour from the ground staff. I had to spend Rs19000 at that moment, went through so much harassment and there was no compassion even for 1 yr old baby who was with me and started crying. Later, when they made me miss my flight which they very well could have helped me board as there was no fault from my side,
Mr. Tajinder, talked to me and offered my Rs 950 less for my next ticket which I had to buy with extra 19000rs. I strongly condemn this behaviour because it felt as a mockery on my condition because it was he who made me miss the flight and later was offering penny in front of the hefty amount i had to pay for next tickets. If Indigo has made this a business of making people book extremely costly tickets at the last moment especially in holiday seasons, I dont think it can go a long way in winning people's heart and its not far, people will prefer to take other flights than Indigo.
SO indigo, its time you check on people who behave so rudely with passengers and are so inconsiderate. I will also have to think twice before i book tickets in Indigo and so will my close family and friends to whom I have narrated my story. Was this information helpful? |
